LL...Fans are one thing you SERIOUSLY have!!! Between book suggestions, lights or keeping peoples spirits up with weight loss, or the polenta lovers society of America or just your PTR/TRs in general...you have lots and lots of fans....which equals..you ROCK!

OK LL, I can't believe I'm going to jump into a conversation about books...I normally don't feel like it's something I want to take the time for. But my Mom gave me a book recently and I couldn't put it down! Vanishing Act by Jodi Picoult, is this an author I have heard around here? I'm going to go to the library and find some more of her books but if I like these, what other authors can you recommend?

Is everyone dealing with the heat this week? It's been 90+ with 100+ heat index for a couple days now and looks to continue at least until the weekend. Still, I have to admit, I would take this over nasty cold any day! Give me sun, green grass, flowers in bloom and summer vacation please

I adore adore adore Jodi Picoult!! Her books are so awesome. The ones of hers I love are "The Pact" "House Rules" "Plain Truth" "Handle with Care" and "My Sister's Keeper". Truthfully I have loved all of her books, the only one I haven't read is Mercy but it's on my list to read soon. Her books really grip you and you don't want to put them down.

One of my recent favorite books is "Night Road" by Kristin Hannah and also "Winter's Garden" by her as well. They grip me not as much as Jodi Picoult but I find that I can't put them down either. Happy reading!

The heat was awful here yesterday and I heard it's supposed to be another hot one. Doesn't the weather know it should only be super hot when I'm at work in the AC?

Hey ladies! I'm stuck at home as a dog...so I'm working on my resume. Anyone have any tips on how to make my retail jobs seem more glamourous and important? Also, I haven't even finished my work experience and I'm on page 2! Any tips on narrowing things down?

My MIL works at the career center for Boston College and these are the tips she gives.

*Keep it to one page. You can eliminate experience that is old if you want. She says most people won't look at a two page resume.

*Make sure you write in the correct tense, for past jobs, "worked" "Sold" etc. For your current job, "works" "sells"

Those are the two big things I remember. Stace, if you want I can email you my resume so you can see how she formats it. Just PM me your email address and I can send it along. I have gotten comments on my resume from every place I've interviewed with it, that is one thing my MIL is very good at.
