Sorry I am so late with this post, but I need 15 glue sticks for my daughter starting kindergarten next week and I haven't seen any adds for the super cheap packs. I have checked the past 2 weeks circulars. I live in the Rochester, NY area. Any deals? Thank you!

My mom bought us a huge pack from Costco, not sure on the price, but she said it was such a great deal that she couldn't pass it up!

We also have seen them at walmart for the .22 and target was like .30 each I think!

Why does she need SO many of them???

I bought a two pack at Target yesterday for $0.22 each 2 pack. They had quite a bit left.

I got 3 packs of 4 for .25 from Staples this week.

I got those too! Plus the 10 FREE folders and 3 FREE packs of cap erasers (they were out of the pencil sharpeners). So for .53 I got 8 glue sticks, 10 folders and 3 packs of erasers :yay: ! Almost as good as the penny sales.

Sam's club has the huge pack like Costco too!

Same here & I also was able to get the pencil sharpeners :thumbsup2

Honestly, and I am not trying to be mean. But this is such a very small purchase, is it worth worrying about or driving to a distant store to save a few cents per stick? At $.22 a stick, the total for 15 is $3.30. This is coming from someone who does drive an hour to Costco for products, but for savings larger than pennies. I know the motto here and I participate; a penny saved is a peny earned. But, sometimes things aren't worth worrying about. Saving $.20 a can on every item by shopping at Wal-Mart vs. Kroger adds up and makes sense. But to price shop something that is a one time purchase and cost under a quarter a piece.....I think maybe people get too involved in trying to save money that they lose sight of the big picture. I know I have been guilty in the past. Fixating on saving money by taking things with me on vacation that would be more expensive there. But maybe it was an epiphany of sorts. I learned sometimes it doesn't matter.

I asked on this board so I wouldn't spend gas driving around price shopping. When I was at Office Max 2 weeks ago, there were 2 packs for 1.99, so it would be a significant savings to go some where that had them for $.22. Walmart isn't around the corner from me (but it isn't that far), so if they were cheap there, I will make the trip because I need several other things as well. If I am paying $1 per glue stick, that is $15. Since I rarely buy glue sticks, I have no idea how much they are. I thought 1.99 for a 2-pack seemed expensive. I also need one pink eraser and a folder. I figured I would pick those up wherever I got the glue sticks. I never drive around to save pennies because it costs you more in the long run. Usually people don't mind sharing their experience.

Have you checked Walmart? Not sure if you have those, but last weekend here they were $0.22.

Great! I needed some other things at Walmart anyway! I appreciate your help. I belong to BJ's and I am sure they have big packs also. First time doing the school supply thing! :)
