Girls Trip~OLD THREAD (see first post for link to new one)

Good Morning!

I've had a crappy last couple of days.

My DBF crashed on his street bike Tuesday night. We were in the ER until 2:00am. They did a bunch of X-rays and a CAT scan and he has a broken wrist, broken ribs and bruised lung. They won't put a cast on his wrist yet because it is still too swollen.

He's really bummed out because we leave for our cruise a week from Sunday.

Oh no, OUCH! It could have been much worse, of course, I'm glad it's minor injuries.. but still OW!
Broken ribs take a long time to heal and very uncomfortable, nothing much they can do for them either. Hubby had just a tiny hairline fracture and he was miserable. Hopefully the wrist will calm down and it will be an easy healing process. Hang in there, might be rough for a few days.

I finally tried a churro, just ok for me. I still need to try the Mickey pretzels and waffles.

I'm with you Trudi....I could take it or leave it....usually leave it. Didn't really float my boat any!! Now I've had the waffles but not a pretzel yet.

Hey ladies! Theresa, Linda and I had a yummy dinner at Napa Rose last night!

Tonight I have to pack and get organized and then I'll be making the long drive (all 15 minutes of it) to Disneyland after I drop Bella off at the kennel!

I love the scallops in the lobster/vanilla sauce....delicious!!! If I ever go back, that's all I want....ok, maybe a few margarita's to wash them down......lol

Well, I'm home. I wish I was still at DL! I didn't take a ton of pics this trip. Most of what I took were of my friend and her kids. I did see the Monkey Bride! Woo hoo! LOL I also had some of the Cafe Orleans Gingerbread Begniets. Oh, YUM. They were AWESOME.

The Halloween party was fun - as usual I didn't get as much done as I wanted to do, but it's only 5 hours and one of those was spent in line for photos with Mickey & Minnie and another almost 2 hours was spent with the parade and fireworks.

The penny machine that has been broken my last two visits was working, so I finally got those pennies. The TRON dime machine was back onstage at DCA too. Wow, is DCA ever "messed up" now! I was just there 8 weeks ago and it's amazing how much wall is up in the front part of the park now.

Missed getting my picture with Dug TWICE. SIGH. Rode everything I wanted to except for Toy Story and Buzz. Toy Story's line was just TOO long and I kept hitting Tomorrowland at the wrong time too because Buzz always had a super long line. I've been on it so many times, I don't wait more than 10 minutes for that one. LOL I figure that once Cars Land opens, the wait time for Toy Story will get better.

It was a good trip. The weather was excellent. It was fun hanging with my friend and her boys and nice to have someone who wanted to ride the Teacups with me! LOL

Wow, is DCA ever "messed up" now! I was just there 8 weeks ago and it's amazing how much wall is up in the front part of the park now.

Oh it's terrible isn't it? I had a hard time finding the exit.

Many of you never met our Dawn who we lost before the third trip, but there is a tribute to her on the first page of this thread. Her mother Sally Ann is going to make the trip this time, which is exciting.

She responded to a post I made on Dawn's Facebook page about Halloween and Dawn's White Rabbit costume from the Halloween party a bunch of DIVA's and Sally and Dawn attended. Sally would love any photos anyone who attended that party might have of Dawn.

I was not there, but I have seen some awesome shots. Can anyone help?

Cheryl, Toocherie is often in contact with Sally so can also help get pics to her.

The thread is always so quiet when Beth is away......hope all the Divas in DL are having a great time.........can't wait to see the pictures!!!

Up early to head to Portland with the family for my stepmom's memorial. Poor Addy had a meltdown yesterday about grandma being gone & tons of questions about death.......really hard to explain it to a 6 yr old. Hope she holds up better at the service.

We got dread news from Michayla's cardiologist....they've been watching the hole in her heart since birth & figured around 5yrs old, they'd be able to patch it thru catherization. The echo showed the hole was the size of a dime & her heart was showing signs of enlargement. The hole is too close to one of the major valves, so they are going to have to do open heart surgery on her. It's not emergent....but should be dealt with in the near future. We're thinking we'll do it next summer so it will be done before she starts into Kindergarten.

So a lot of you saw my big news on Facebook, but thought I'd share here as well..............I'm going to DL for a few days during the Christmas time!!!!! I'm super excited!!! Our family originally had planned on going after Thanksgiving, but at that time....hubby's boss wanted that week off, so we moved the trip up for Halloween time (which we ended up not getting to do).......so Sherry (mod) invited me to come & do a few days with her.....it was a deal I couldn't pass on.....so I'll be at DL on December 6, 7 & 8!! So if any other Divas going at that time or locally that would like to join me......please let me know!!! Janelle will be there for one day on the 6th......sounds like Lisa might be getting there on the 7th......so hoping to catch up with a few more of you!!!

Amy I don't have any pics of the party that night although we DID attend. I just didn't have my camera at the time they were taking the group shots of all of us. I know Melody got some great pics. I DO have a really nice pic of Dawn and Sally with the rest of the group at our Trattoria lunch if she would like that pic. It is on my facebook and no longer on my computer because it was on my old one and I didn't get the pics transfered over but if someone can copy it off facebook they are welcome to it. I don't know how to do that LOL but I am sure Beth or someone could or would know. Just let me know.

I'm in contact with Sally too, and what do you know, I have pictures from that night...but not many, because my computer crashed last year and I lost EVERYTHING! I did get some photos uploaded to Photobucket, so I'll look and see what I have.
