I hope everyone is having a good start to their weekend so far! Ruben's vacation starts today. We were originally supposed to go to CA to spend time there with his family, but it was too expensive, sooooo we're going to do some fun things around here.
We've got some Groupon and Living Social coupons to use up. And we booked three nights down on the Strip. Golden Nugget was only $40 and The Orleans was only $25, so the kids can go swimming.

Well, it's still tentative. In fact today I was talking to my husband about some of the cell phone apps you can use at Disneyland, and the Diva trip came up. He was...uh, surprised that I was planning on going again in 2012. I guess he thought it was a one-time thing. Little does he know....hee hee!
So I'll keep my fingers crossed, and keep setting some cash aside!

Hello Ladies. My name is Michele. I am 41, married 22 years, have two DDs Brittany 21 and Katy 20 and they started early on making me a Nana, as I have one grandson, Tristen (2) and Khloe (3m). Also a surro mom of 5.
I live in Las Vegas, grew up in S. Ca. I work about 35 hours a week for a 3 Dr optometrist practice.
I love anything Disney! I have been lucky to go at least once a year. Usually with a very good friend of mine (one of my surro babe's mom). She and I enjoy making a girls trip.
I have also been to Walt Disney World 3x and 2 cruises. We are planning another cruise next year, but nothing official yet. I am also hoping to take them all to Disneyland, maybe in Jan.?
So I just came accross this thread. I was hanging out more in the cruise and WDW. Now that we hope to go here sooner I came to check it out again.
Oh and I am a terrible spelling and my grammar needs lots of impoverishment. So just giggle when you read my post. I know, I do.
Not sure when I would have to give an answer if I can really join this trip or not. I may need a couple months to know for sure? Is there a dead line?
If I did come I may bring one of my DD's or just my good friend I mentioned above. She lives in Canada and we usually go around my Bday Feb. 15.
If I come alone, I hope I could roommate up with someone. I don't snore as I have a sleep machine. Pretty easy going. I get ready within 30 min. so will not have to wait on me.
Oh and if there is anyone from Vegas coming I wouldn't mind carpooling. I may even fly into Long Beach as I can get a really cheap ticket with allegient (aunt works there). So if anyone was willing to pick up that too could work?
Anyway, I of course have a lot to figure out but hope to see about joining. I love meeting new Dis lover people. I can talk Dis talk all day long.

Hey ladies~ I have been MIA for awhile Life became really busy once I arrived home from DL. I started back to work this week which involves lots of meetings and workshops to plan our lessons and get informed on the new school year. The plan was to teach ASL 1-3 and when I showed up to work they also offered me freshman English and I accepted! So now I have two weeks to plan the first units from each class using the new guidelines for lesson planning that they taught me. I am trying to get at least two units planned per class though. Another piece of good news was given to me; this year I will have my own classroom and office! On Tuesday I will spend most of the day setting it up and will take some pictures to share.

My parents are having a huge yard sale this weekend, selling many of my grandma's collectables and other household items. The antique dealers scored big yesterday, but I think I got the best stuff of them all...my stepdad gave me the really old Disney collectables. I now have some vintage Disney drinking glasses, night lights, mugs, buttons, and other items.

Hopefully I will get a longer break in the next week so I can catch up...till then....have a great week

There is no deadline to join. You can decide at any time. There will be deadlines for group meals, activities, and the like but those won't be until much later. So you still have plenty of time.

I can't believe none of you wanted to send me money! I thought you were my friends!!

Yep, I was hacked, and it is proving to be a major pain in the butt. I have no access to my FB and gmail accounts, and it is so frustrating! Neither has a call-in number, so I had to fill out an on-line form for gmail. Once that is all fixed, then I can work on my FB account. The Google form says it will take at least 24 hours for them to get back to me. What will I do without FB for that long?

This is a great group!!! If you can't go, you will still make some great friends & there's always next time or even some of the mini meets thru out the year.

I'm Laurie, 48, mom of 7 (4 youngest were adopted thru foster care). I stay at home to care for the 4 yr old twins that are autistic & mentally delayed. They also have a number of medical issues. I live in Oregon & a total Disney addict. Hope you'll be able to come......looking forward to getting to know you better on the threads!!

Just took some time to catch everything I missed in the past week and a half. I kinda feel a bit bashed. I did have the contract and it was signed and in a folder in my car to take to get faxed. However, with the trip and planning for school and other things that kept coming up, I couldn't drive the 15 minutes across town to the nearest fax. After recieving a message from Capri on facebook, I was at the point where it was just best to hand it off which I did. Anyways, I just wanted to you all to see where I was because I wasn't trying to screw the group over or anything and wasn't being lazy - I am just a very, very busy person without a fax machine
