See, the problem is that I love chocolate. It didn't hit until I was about 15 and it's hard to turn your back on chocolate. So I can't just eat it in small amounts which is usually risk free enough but then it depends on what it is. I love the Smarties Andrea sends me, but there's a reason I eat them at home.

I do like dark chocolate, but that's not always 100% lactose free and can even give me problems.

It's not lactose free, but if you can do small amounts of chocolate, you can do MORE with dark chocolate. LOL

The problem is it doesn't take much for me. It's lame.

My lactose issues are mild to moderate. Cheese is my biggest weakness. And, when it's hot, ICE CREAM and smoothies. Thank heavens for Jamba Juice and the ability to make those yummies NON DAIRY!

:confused3 Why would I say celery sticks and carrots? It's not a diet-choice-related thing. I'm lactose intolerant and can't have milk products without having very bad reactions.

BTW, you can call me Jessica. Don't know where you're getting the Bella from ;)

Silly from bell e --ell-- a back to bella. See Simple :). LOL Jessica, I was kidding about the celery and carrots but then got thinking humm I am hungry so then thought of the wings -- :P.

I feel your pain about milk sugars, I can eat ice cream in small amount and some cheese see thru paper thin. No milk --cream if it is whipped with sugar-- I know I have no idea but drinking milk would make me sick faster then I could drink it. I have always thought it was because it was pasturized -- shrug but no idea for sure.

what about that carob chocolate? I have no idea why but I can eat chocolate. I like semi-sweet best.

And it goes SO well with red wine......

True dat :drinking1 (I can't find a wine one, so this will have to do!)

Jessica - that would be really difficult. Chocolate is yummy. I will bring you some Smarties and you can save them to take home and enjoy in peace :thumbsup2

Patty - my mind must be shot to poopie tonight or something. I didn't even think about that. My SN is 2 Princesses and I never really though about what they were if you smashed them together.

Theresa - some Smarties to bring home would just about tip the scales to make everything perfect!

I don't think I would mind the whole LI thing if it had always been a problem. You get used to it. But I was already a chocaholic whe it started to become noticeable. Then again, I always had a problem with milk even when I was younger but I thought I just hated the taste of it and avoided it straight up at all costs so I didn't think much of it. Who knows. It just made the end of high school really, really, really lame for me. That's what I know.

But I did find a severe addiction to Skittles in the meantime. Oh, and bottlecaps. I unfortunately have a severe sweet tooth.

Whooo hooo!! Thanks bunches, Capri! :thumbsup2

Just a quick hi and good night from me. :)

Don't know why I am still up we are going to Disneyland in the morning. From other post I saw it looks like it will be crowded but we will have fun. We have some backup plans to do outside of the park if it gets really crazy.

Katie I am glad you got a good report from your dr.
How are you doing with your daughter leaving?? I think I'm going to be an emotional wreck when my babies leave the nest :guilty:.

Monica, I remember when my baby girl went off to college. Life is never the same afterwards. But it's all good. Hang in there.

Right now I don't think it has really hit me she will be gone but I think it is also because I am so excited for her. We went to San Francisco last year before she applied and I just fell in love with the city. We also liked the school. She also received enough grants and scholarship where she will have no student loans. Plus she always reminds me that she can fly down here in about the same amount of time it takes us to drive to Disneyland.

I spent yesterday afternoon holding the hand of my friend. I talked about old times, sharing MY memories with her and her family. I know Mary could hear us as a couple of times her eyes fluttered but her lids did not open. When I left the room I let her know I would be along sometime but not to wait for me. I reminded her we still had lots of garage sales to go to :).

Rest in Peace Mary 1953-2011

Sorry for your loss but I am happy for you to be able to spend that time with your friend I know that she knew you were there. Not everyone gets that opportunity.

And when I do eat chocolate, I prefer it dark. I LOVE Mounds. Mmmmm... coconut!

I love dark chocolate

good night

I would love to go, but I don't believe that I will have the opportunity to do so. Will someone please mail me a chocolate caramel apple before ya leave?

Hi everyone. :wave2:

Just wanted to let you all know that I'll be gone for the next four days (going to Priest Lake again in North Idaho - beautiful!) but everything should be good to go at the Carousel if anyone wants to make their reservations - YAY! :thumbsup2

Call or text me on my cell if there are any problems making a reservation. My number is the same as last year.

BTW - the rate is $110 (that includes the valet parking fee, resort fee, plus continental breakfast with daily free hot-breakfast upgrade. Make sure to mention the free daily hot breakfast upgrade when you check in...maybe they give you vouchers or something? Not sure how that worked last year.)

Okay, well technically the rate is $99 per night.
The valet parking fee is $9 per night (mandatory).
And the resort fee is $2 per night.

Don't you just love fees? They're so fun. )

Which equals.....$110. Voila. There you have it. :teacher:

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good morning, ladies!! :)

Don't know why I am still up we are going to Disneyland in the morning.
Have fun today, Monica. I hope it's not too crowded for you. :wizard:

Hi Gisele! Sorry you can't make it. We're having a spooky Meet and Greet theme this year. Right up your alley. :thumbsup2
I'll definitely buy a chocolate caramel apple for you.......no promises it will make it to you though. lol :rolleyes1

OMG, don't even get me started on fees!!!!! Some of the hotels here charge as much as an extra $25 a day in "resort fees". And I just found out the hotel we want to book in Anaheim for next summer charges an extra $12 a day for self parking in the parking lot right outside of the hotel. WTH??
Oh well, it's still cheaper than staying onsite, and we get a free breakfast buffet and evening snacks. But darn those fees!

Anyway, thank you for being so on the ball and getting all this done. I'll add this info to the front page in case anyone else wants to book the Carousel. :thumbsup2
Have fun at the lake!! We'll miss you here.

Ugh. I am so ready for this week to be over. Work has been a nightmare. And next week will be no better with my boss coming back from maternity leave. I really, really want to pull my hair out right now.

I need to find something to do to calm my nerves a little bit because I'm just way too stressed today.

Hi Divas!
I haven't been keeping up with the thread lately, but I'm happy to see it has turned to discussions of CHOCOLATE!
I was just chatting with my mom yesterday about the Diva trip in Feb. She's too nervous to come with me again after her impromptu stop at the hospital in Seattle after the trip this year:sick:, but she was excited to hear about all the fun plans!

.

Hope you all are well! I can't wait for more planning to happen...I love that part...I have been working on my WDW trip/Disney cruise this morning. I booked the Hoop De Doo review and am considering Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. We paid the final payment on the cruise a few days ago! I am so excited...only about 3 months to go!

SarahMay

Go to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party if you can. The toy soliders are awsome! I am about to pay a good chunk on my cruise today - but I can't pay it off til next paycheck because our car decided to quite going - stupid car doesn't it know that I have waaayyy more important things to do with that money. :rolleyes1

Congrats and Happy planning!

I know, right? I have been saving up for this trip for 6 years which is the only reason I had the money to pay off the cruise. I hope the car thing gets better soon and doesn't cost toooo much. Darn car.

SarahMay

P.S. Camping tonight...a bit nervous but it should be fun!

I totally agree! It's not even chocolate. It's vanilla flavored sugar with a 'chocolate like' texture. Yuck! pirate:

Have you tried the white chocolate covered pretzles from Disneyland? They are so good! Much better than the yogurt covered ones which is all I can find in the stores here. I always have to bring the Family size bag of them home from Disneyland.

The Apple Pie Carmel apples are really good too, they are dipped in carmel, then white chocolate and then rolled in grahm cracker/cinnamon topping. :thumbsup2

Is the Pin Code that I hear some of you talk about when Disney emails a code for discounts at the Disney hotels?

Well my DBF got an email on Tuesday for 20-35% off Disneylands hotels. I didn't even know he was signed up to get emails from Disney. :confused3
