Well, it's still tentative. In fact today I was talking to my husband about some of the cell phone apps you can use at Disneyland, and the Diva trip came up. He was...uh, surprised that I was planning on going again in 2012. I guess he thought it was a one-time thing. Little does he know....hee hee!
So I'll keep my fingers crossed, and keep setting some cash aside!

Oh, I won't. I'm usually the palest person at the pool and plan to keep it that way.

Just took some time to catch everything I missed in the past week and a half. I kinda feel a bit bashed. I did have the contract and it was signed and in a folder in my car to take to get faxed. However, with the trip and planning for school and other things that kept coming up, I couldn't drive the 15 minutes across town to the nearest fax. After recieving a message from Capri on facebook, I was at the point where it was just best to hand it off which I did. Anyways, I just wanted to you all to see where I was because I wasn't trying to screw the group over or anything and wasn't being lazy - I am just a very, very busy person without a fax machine

I'm not sure why you're feeling bashed, Jen. I totally understand that you're busy - we all are. We were trying to book our rooms (lots of people have already been able to do that elsewhere) and were not able to until the contract was signed and returned. I wasn't sure if you had done so (you had mentioned you were going to one day) and it just wasn't received or what have you. I don't think there were any mean or unreasonable questions or posts, just checking to see if it had been done.

It's done now and our group at least has our rooms booked - yay Hopefully some other Divas will be staying there too!!

Hi Jen, you don't know me, but if I were you, I wouldn't sweat this. I don't remember reading anything that bashed you, but just a lot of I don't knows. I think it was the lack of communication that left us all discussing it. I read back and see where you said you were going to do it that day, but then nothing else was mentioned. Communication is the key. I don't think anyone thought you were trying to screw the group over. Not everyone thinks that way. We all know that life gets busy, and sometimes you just have to ask for help. That's all anyone was asking for...communication and asking for help if you were too busy. Think nothing further of it, it's taken care of now. We're just all excited about the awesome party I'm sure you and the rest of the team will give us. And now we know we have the room for sure, and discounted rooms can be booked, and well....it's all water under the bridge. Have a drink with an umbrella in it and don't think another second about it.

Hey Jen. I'm sorry you feel bashed. I don't think anyone was bashing you. I know I wasn't. The main thing was making sure we secured the party room. That was my main concern. Without that we'd be back to square one and the other options out there are not as cheap or as desirable.

Speaking for myself, I posted because I saw where you'd said you would do it that one day and I think that's where the confusion came in. I wasn't sure if it had been done and the hotel was at fault or missing it somewhere, or what. We were just trying to figure out if it had in fact been done or not. Not bashing at all, just trying to get to the bottom of it. Simple as that. And we know you'd never intentionally "screw over" the group. That thought never entered my mind, nor anyone else's I'm sure.

In any case, it's been done. The party room is ours! A couple rooms have already been booked, and hopefully more will be booked soon. Everything is on track and I hope you won't let it bother you.
Oh, and I agree with Heather, if something like that happens again, and you are simply too busy, just say so. Ask for help. Heck, y'all know I have no life!!! I'm happy to help out when and where I can.

Welcome Michele!!!! I followed the thread for 2 yrs before I was able to go......so feel free to join in the convo's & get to know us. If you can go that will just be the bonus!!! This is a great group!!! If you can't go, you will still make some great friends & there's always next time or even some of the mini meets thru out the year.

I'm Laurie, 48, mom of 7 (4 youngest were adopted thru foster care). I stay at home to care for the 4 yr old twins that are autistic & mentally delayed. They also have a number of medical issues. I live in Oregon & a total Disney addict. Hope you'll be able to come......looking forward to getting to know you better on the threads!!

Hi Everyone! Summer is really kicking my but in terms of running around like a chicken with my head cut off. So much fun to have. I am really enjoying having this time off with my kids. Not spending as much time on line, I know that! Anyhow, hope all is well and you are having fun too!

At the end of the day it is all good. But if you still feel bad I like chocolate chip cookies, double batch with the chips at the single batch rate. Maybe a little oat meal added-- but not much -- you can deliver any time in the next 48 hours -- Have I made you feel better yet-- I know I will be feeling great and sassy full of cookies .

I do have a real question though. I am confused if you teach the ASL or you are a translator for hearing impaired students in main stream classes. Either one sounds interesting. When the ASL is offered at the local college again I am planning on taking a quarter to see if I could learn ASL. I think the children at daughters school read lips but are also asigned a translator.

Good luck on job. I used to spend so little time in office I thought --now why do i have this office . So the mail man can send me bills was all I could think of for a reason.

Have a great rest of summer -- enjoy the Disney artifacts-- and family antiques. I gave my daughter some of our family artifacts so she could enjoy now and I would be able to experience how much she enjoyed them.

But, I'm actually looking forward to this week since Ruben is off. The kids had a blast ice skating yesterday. For tonight Ruben got us free tix to see Barry Manilow down at Paris, so we're going to do that. (yes, I'm a "Fanilow"! lol)
Monday I'm taking Noelle and a friend of hers to the Golden Nugget for the night, then Tuesday Ruben, Adam and one of Adam's friends will have their boy night at the Golden Nugget. The kids love the shark tank and water slide.

Man. Just got back from work (first time starting at 3a instead of working overnight). For the first time in the 4 1/2 years that I have been doing our stores Ad we didn not have it finished by 8am. Not by a long shot. Heck, we weren't even done when I had to leave (no overtime allowed) at 11:30. It was just a disaster and everything that could go wrong did. Too bad nobody listened to me in the weeks leading up to this schedule change. A lot of the problems would have been avoided and they know it too. It was so hard to bite my tongue and not tell my boss "I told you so!"

But, I'm home now. And off to ice my arm before it falls off.

So I wanted to share a rare moment that I actually have both grand-kids in my arms. Tristen is usually running all around as he is full of energy. Then Khloe has terrible reflux so she is usually spitting up on us.lol So here it is (no cropping of anything either,lol)

I sleep at the same time I tried to take a nap when I started at 10p - only I actually got sleep. So if I lay down at 5 or so I can fall asleep around 7 and wake up at 2. It works out so, so, so, so much better. But I don't stock for this shift: we rotate our promotional signing. So the last week's sale signs come down (which I no longer oversee, and they do that at closing) and this weeks sale signs go up.

Hope you all are well! I can't wait for more planning to happen...I love that part...I have been working on my WDW trip/Disney cruise this morning. I booked the Hoop De Doo review and am considering Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. We paid the final payment on the cruise a few days ago! I am so excited...only about 3 months to go!

What dates are you going to be at WDW? We will be there from Dec 17th to the 27th. We were able to get free dining by coming on the 17th. I then got a pin in the mail the next day for 30% off of my room (it only covered 6 days, so kept the free dining instead.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is fun. I already bought our tickets, we are going the very last one they are having this year.

Hopefully we will do the cruise one day.

I have you both beat! I couldn't get a picture of my tattoo because of the glare off my leg.

We had a great trip to visit my stepdads family. They had rented 3 condos on the lake, DS10 went paint balling and tubing while DH and I took the little ones on a tour of a beautiful winery.
