My friend Christina came over last night and we followed a tutorial I found on pintrest to make tshirts into tank tops...so cute! Afterwards we were playing on the computer and on a whim I checked to see if DS8's dad has been arrested in the past two weeks....he had just been arrested 50 minutes earlier! This time for two counts of possession of a syringe, intent to sell methamphetamines, sneaking drugs into jail, and possession of narcotics. Two of those are felonies, and combined with the vehicle theft felony from August, I think he will be in jail for a long time. The one good thing is that now I can serve him with custody papers since our court date is in just over a week. My house is so crazy! I soooooooooooo cannnot wait for Disneyland!!!

Hopefully the craziness can stop. That has to be so difficult, especially for the kids. Have a great time in Disneyland. I am determined to get there at least once during the Christmas season - maybe next year.........

Lisa I hate to say it but I agree with some of the other gals. I REALLY wanted to go to Colonial Williamsburg when I was in DC in 09 but we didn't have any transport. But it is def on my to do list some day. I get though that not everyone enjoys the same stuff. I mean heck there are actually crazy people who don't like Disney. SHEESH! But hopefully you can find some fun in the trip.

Bush Gardens will be my fun on the trip. And DH doesn't like Disneyland. He TOLERATES it in small, limited doses. We are yin and yang. LOL

We went to Best Buy today and preordered my (early) Christmas present. I'm getting the Kindle Fire. YAY! I like the iPad that DH has, but honestly it's SO BIG that I know I wouldn't use it NEARLY enough to justify its pricetag. My iPod Touch is two "generations"
old and it's getting hard to find accessories for it now. And I know it won't live forever. The kindle is a nice in between place and cheaper than replacing my iTouch. Much of the content on my iTouch is from my own cds and stuff, so I can transfer what I want onto the Kindle. I only have 4 or 5 apps that I use constantly that cost money and most are available for Kindle as well (can we say ANGRY BIRDS?). Should be interesting.

Well I hate to say this.....but I may not be able to go on the Girl's Trip. We took care of a ton of things that needed attention & helped my son pay off an extremely high interest car loan & with relocating & replacing/getting some much needed furniture/beds.....we're almost out of the IRS money. We were supposed to use some of the money to pay for our family trip but now that doesn't look too promising. I won't go on the Girl's Trip unless the family can join me at the end of the weekend. I went in March (girls trip) & going for 2 days in December & wouldn't feel right going a third time without the family.

I'll go over our budget after we get moved. If we can get a large portion of our deposit back & my son pays me a $1000 as promised in January....we might be able to go.....but our rent is higher at our new place & will have to see how it all sorts out. I'm totally bummed just thinking about cancelling!!

That is my DH too... Enjoy your kindle! I love mine! Last time I was in DL I took it with me so that I could read while we waited in long lines or for shows to start.

I had to leave work early today since my sons school called to let me know DS7 had an asthma attack (this has never happened before.) I picked the poor boy up and took him to the doctors...he has pnemonia. He is not on antibodies and an inhaler for the next few weeks. Now I think we will be staying in this weekend which gives me time to craft!

Hope he's feeling better now.

Mine likes it but is good with every 2 or 3 years and we just went last month. I already told him today that I am planning to go with our DD and her son and hubby next October. He was fine with not going with us. I think we will stay at Embassy Suites and use ART. Getting kind of tired of the Harbor hotels.

Same with Ruben. Actually, he's fine with going every 2 years. We were going to take our family vacation there next summer for the new Carsland opening, but we've decided not to battle the heat and crowds. We're going to northern Michigan for two weeks instead, and my family is actually happier with that. They just aren't the Disney fans that I am.

Yay for you!! I am so out of it. I don't own an iPod, an iPad, an iTouch (don't even know what that one is!), an iPhone, a Kindle, or any of those newfangled toys. I don't even own a cell phone! I use borrow my kid's when I need one, and even that is a cheapo pay as you go type.

Laurie, I'm sorry things aren't looking good for the ladies trip. I know despite the best plans and all things seemingly coming together, it can sometimes change. Hopefully it will all work out for you.

Happy Sunday!!! Boy I sure did love that extra hour this morning. I totally forgot about it and was rushing around doing chores when I realized that is really was earlier than I thought. I wish everyday was like that.

I hope that everyone has been well. Work has been incredibly busy and stressfull these last couple of weeks. I'm ready for the holidays coming up. I can use the time off.

Laurie - So sorry that the trip is not working out for you. You'll be missed.

Jen- I hope your son is feeling better. How scary for you & him. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in quick.

Bridget - Shopping in London sounds very exciting. Would love to hear how your trip goes. Glad you got your reservations at the Grand. I really need to get my plane tickets soon.

Mel - Are you liking your Ipad? I've debating getting one. I'm just afraid I would spend too much time playing and not enough time working (especially since work has not been much fun lately).

Howdy everyone! It was a semi-laid back day here. Did some preliminary Christmas shopping today (more idea gathering than actual shopping) and ran some errands. I have a nasty sinus headache and just want to curl up and sleep. We ran the furnace for the first time this season, so my house smelled like burned dust this morning. That's gone now, fortunately.

It's been a while since I posted but when I do get my ten minute breaks at work I have been reading along.

It has been busy for me. Very stressful at work right now. We are expected to do the paper work of two people with less time to do it. (the agency we have modeled are observations the teachers have 17-20 kids and two hours a day to do paperwork-We have 34 kids and only friday to complete it butout of the last four fridays we had one and a half at trainings) The only thing I learned at trainings is everyone is overwelmed teachers want to quit or step down. It is also our federal review year.

Well onto another stressful situation - but at the end of the month will be better. Me and my son are moving into my moms house at the end of the month (the stressfull part is getting our rooms ready there and packing up here). My mom offered because I am never getting ahead on student loans and credit cards. I was going go buy a mobile home wiht four bedrooms and rent one out but my mom offered for us to move with her because if I ever found a house to buy I would be stuck with my space rent until the mobile home sells (The park i was looking at wouldn't let you rent out your mobile home) and mobile homes are not selling too fast-with house prices being so low.

My AP expired but I think I might get a three day pass at christmas then upgrade on the last day. I have never been to a Magic Morning.
