Me too!! My DS just called me a few minutes ago from school saying he was stabbed in the back. I started to go nuts, but he clarified that his back hurt & it "felt" like someone stabbed him in the back :headache: .

The more I think about it, I REALLY need a trip without my family :rotfl: .
 OMG! Okay my kids would have received an earful for starting a sentence like that and almost giving me a heart attack!!!

Yes, I think we could all use a break!! LOL :rotfl:

You are too kind :flower3:
I just call 'em like I see 'em. :)

Yep, it'll be the first time without him. I mean, I go out for hours at a time and let DH and DS have man-time (DS is possibly more bonded with DH than he is with me, and has been since the very beginning), and he had his first babysitting experience in September with my best friend, but I haven't gone *away*.

Since my MIL is not to be trusted, and my dad is, well, bonkers (and lives in CA so very unavailable), and mom and FIL are gone, there's no one but my dedicatedly childfree friends to watch him! Since those friends are the ones usually inviting me out...it just doesn't work. :)

Cindy, I added you to our list of names, so it's official now. You have to come. :rolleyes1 ;)

Well, I hear ya on the MIL issues. And it is hard to get away sometimes. That's why I figure having the trip a few months out will give those who need to arrange some sort of child care plenty of time to get that set up. I know it's not easy sometimes.

Well, since this will be your first time away, we'll just have to make sure you have a great time and aren't bummed at all!! :cool1: :thumbsup2

Yep, gotta do it. ;) I'm glad your excited!! I am too!!
I love DL but have only ever been there with family or DH. It will be a whole new experience to be there on my own with just a bunch of fun ladies! :dance3:

Just an FYI: There is an extra 15% off items on the www.DisneyOutlet.com website today good through tonight.

I'm off to look and see if I can find anything nice and cheap!! ;)

Ok here are my answers to the quiz.

1. What's your favorite ride at Disneyland and at California Adventure?
DL - Splash
CA – Never been but I have a feeling I will love California Screamin

2. If you could have a $10,000 shopping spree to one store, which store would it be and how long would it take you to spend the $10,000?
Lowes or Home Depot. I would really like our 6 year long remodel done.

3. If money were not an object, what would you do with your life?
I really would love to live right next to DL or WDW so I could go all the time. Yeah I know – obsessed.

4. Which tv/movie/radio star would you most like to meet in person?
Really hard for me to choose. I think maybe Karl Urban. Wow. Yum.

5. What's your favorite book?
Lord of the Rings, anything by Tom Clancy and Nora Roberts.

6. What is the weirdest thing you will ever admit to having done in the past?
There is no way I could choose one thing. Oh ok... one night while I was stationed in Germany, we went bowling, got a little toasted and stopped at a house and uh... cut flowers from someone’s garden. They were really lovely flowers and looked great on my desk!

7. What song best describes you when you first wake up in the morning?
Walking on Sunshine. Sad but true.

8. What place in the US would you most like to visit? Why?
Montana. That just has to be so beautiful.

9. What place outside of the US would you most like to visit? Why?
Ireland and Scotland. The whole ancestor thing.

10. Coke or Pepsi?
Sierra Mist.

11. Is your calendar always on the correct month (or day, if it is a day calendar)?
Yes

12. Desk: messy or organized?
Mostly organized.

13. Pet ownership – which do you prefer? Dog or Cat?
We have both.

14. What is your favorite color?
Purple and/or Green

15. Are you always early or terminally late?
Always, always EARLY!

16. Are you a night owl or early bird?
Early bird for sure.

17. What is your favorite band or music group?
DC Talk, Journey, Casting Crowns.

18. What is your favorite reality tv show?
Meerkat Manor – even though I cry hysterically when they :gulp: die.

19. Who would you want to play you in the movie about your life (pick for various stages if you like)?
Hmmm…. Someone with red hair and a goofy/hyper attitude. How about a cross between Nicole Kidman and Lucille Ball!!!

20. What is your all time favorite Disney character?
Tink and Captain Jack Sparrow.

I'm in WA...we could always meet up so you have at least one relatively normal "in real life" ally. :) If I don't absolutely chicken out of leaving DS for 4 days.

Breathe...6 months from now, entirely different child by then, if I tell him I'm going to buy all of his b'day presents I'm sure he'll be fine...breathe...the question will be, will I be fine?

Am I wrong in thinking that even if someone decided THAT DAY to just show up and be part of the Meet, that it would be OK? I mean, they'd have to arrange their own sleeping arrangments, but other than that, it would be cool, wouldn't it?

I so feel you!! And seeing as how I am in the neighborhood as well, we could do a mini Washington meet!:woohoo: I know exactly how you feel about leaving the little one. I had NEVER been away from my baby, EVER... Not even to pee when my dad died last year, and I had to go to Reno without my kids... I was gone for a whole week... and surprisingly, my kids did not just keel over from me not being there!:lmao: Now I am almost confident in leaving the kids with their dad.:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Okay... Here is a pic of me... Its our fav. of me from our last trip... makes me look the least fat...:rolleyes1

I really enjoyed your trip report :thumbsup2 .

Your family is precious :grouphug:

This sounds like so much fun but dh and I are going to WDW in early April so I doubt if I could literally pull a double dip and ask him to take more days off so I can go again!:rotfl2:

I'm also going to WDW the end of March/beginning of April :thumbsup2

I'm still doing the ladies only trip because I deserve some time to myself princess: .

I'm asking my parents to watch the kids for the long weekend since they've offered to watch them anytime I need to have break. I think this is the perfect opportunity.

Am I the only one looking forward to the results of the poll???? I want to start planning hehe....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That's nice of your parents to offer that. Did you tell them you were taking off with some strangers you met on the internet? :rotfl:

Nope!! I'm ready to plan too!!

So far the May dates are ahead still, but only by one. So that could change.

Not yet, but they won't be surprised. I've met several people from the DIS over the years at WDW.

Everyone I've met so far has been fairly normal  .
