That's cool! Where in SoCal are you? Fontana?
I grew up in the Eagle Rock area, and then lived in Glendale and Burbank.
There's alot I miss about being out there!

Sorry I disappeared.
One of my twins just had a very bad nose bleed. She told me it was bleeding and I looked at it and it wasn't that bad. She went into the bathroom to wash her hands and then a short while later, she was screaming for me.
I ran into the bathroom, and there was blood everywhere. All over the floor, sink, counter and herself. It was gushing from her nose. Scared me half to death!!
I was trying to calm her down but she was crying and panicking. And I guess she was getting some in her mouth so she was gagging and almost throwing up.
I kept trying to get it to stop but it wouldn't and she was getting more and more scared and upset. And my other kids kept coming in and looking at all the blood and freaking out which scared her even more.![]()
Finally I yelled at my older DD to bring me the phone and I called my DH at work. (he works nights) It took several rings but he finally answered and I basically just yelled that I needed him here now. I didn't know how or if I was going to get her nose to stop! It was soaking through the tissues as fast as I could get them up to her nose. I'd never seen such a bad bloody nose before.
We only have the one car right now and I just wasn't sure how I'd take her in somewhere if it didn't stop.
He doesn't work that far away and with no traffic this time of night, he made it pretty quick. Of course by that time the bleeding had slowed and she was some what calmer. He helped me clean up the floor, sink and counter and made sure she was ok, then headed back to work.
She's alright now, and is going to sleep here in my bed. I have no clue what caused it. She said she didn't bang it on anything and it doesn't hurt.![]()
I've finally got everyone else settled and in bed. And now, I do believe I am ready to call it a night myself and go chill with a movie.
Okay, there have been two photos posted in this thread and I am in both of them. Start posting more photos of yourselves!

Hi all! I would really, really love to go. My family likes DL and WDW but basically could take it leave it. Not me! I just have to ok it with DH and the only problem I can forsee is that he would be nervous about me not really knowing any of you. Oh well we have plenty of time.Oh, it's not too late is it?

Thanks January. It has been really dry here, I've noticed more static in the air in the house. So that might be it.Beth, I am sorry about your DD----my brother used to get nosebleeds really bad. The doc said it was the dry weather here in Boise that causes them.
Have a great day ladies!![]()

Ahhhh, who doesn't love a little Johnny in the morning.I just felt like waking up to Johnny this morning!
Hope everyone has a great day!
Shut up!! Really??? Wow, that's so cool. We actually lived in the Mt. Washington area. Do you know where that is? I always say Eagle Rock though because it was close to us and no one knows the Mt. Washington area. LOL And to say Los Angeles is too vague. kwim?Eagle RockI used to go to the Eagle Rock plaza with my mom when we were younger... I grew up in Burbank and now live in Acton (between Santa Clarita and Palmdale). My sister and I spend the weekend in Fontana when the NASCAR comes to town. My ex-uncle (now divorced from my aunt) used to be a car chief for a team and back then, we would get garage passes and had great access to walk around. I miss those days... The pits are fun, but I liked going behind the "fence"... We have been trying to get another hook up for garage passes, but they are like gold and hard to get.
LOL Ain't that the truth. She's just fine now, thanks. And it was the same here, she was freaking out and that made me freak out because it wouldn't stop and I couldn't calm her down.Sorry to hear this. I hope she's OK this morning.
I remember a couple years ago this happened to my DD and just the sight of all that blood freaked her out. It didn't hurt her at all, but she was scared, which made me scared since I couldn't get it to stop.
Oh the joys of raising children! Never a dull moment.
LOL That first pic is funny! Something my kids would do.Well, I have my picture in my signature. I was looking through my online photos and unfortuneatly, I'm not in many since I'm always the photographer.
Here's a picture of me when my DS takes pictures:

I'm in WA...we could always meet up so you have at least one relatively normal "in real life" ally.If I don't absolutely chicken out of leaving DS for 4 days.
Breathe...6 months from now, entirely different child by then, if I tell him I'm going to buy all of his b'day presents I'm sure he'll be fine...breathe...the question will be, will I be fine?

Am I wrong in thinking that even if someone decided THAT DAY to just show up and be part of the Meet, that it would be OK? I mean, they'd have to arrange their own sleeping arrangments, but other than that, it would be cool, wouldn't it?
LOL That sounds like me when I went on the WDW ladies trip last year. It was the first time I'd left the whole family behind. DH and all four kids. You can do it! I will have an almost 3 year old so I feel your pain. I left him last June for our "17th anniversary at the beach" weekend and he was fine. I called a million times though. I kept thinking he would forget me.![]()
