Dangerous huh? Should we be nervous? :scared1: :rolleyes1

Don't worry, we'll make sure you keep your rep in tact. :smooth:

My screenname is kind of a joke around here. My dh registered me here on the Dis boards because I was having a hard time registering on my puter. He said all the cool Mickey names were taken and he's a DangerMouse fan, so that's what I got stuck with. :sad2:

I'm not really dangerous, except with my addiction to the Mouse, my obsessive compuslive trip overplanning and the way I attack the parks. My dh says my DLR addiction is definitely dangerous to our bank account. :lmao:

Of course, the fact that I am a homeschooling, Christian mother of 3 is a pretty scary for some people. :scared1: :rotfl:

I live in Eugene OR, so you arent too far-ish from me. I was thinking that it was crazy for me to even consider this. Im glad Im not the only one from farther away.:goodvibes
I've been to Oregon before. I don't remember much except that I loved the rocky coastline. Oh, and I think the Sea Lion Caves were somewhere up there and I had a great time there. (I was a kid when we went)

The rate I am getting right now is about $122. per night... I think that the Desert Inn and suites is alot cheaper then that, and closer...
Oh, yeah, that's kind of up there. Hopefully we can get the entertainment rate.

I think its a really good deal with the Entertainment Book. Id be open for another place if it isnt avalible.
Me too. For that price. So I guess we'll wait and see what kind of deal we can get. (fingers crossed)

Quick question for those of you wanting to stay at HoJo. If for some reason, we can't get the entertainment rate, would you still stay there? I mean, is it still a good deal? :confused3

I email Willie Simpson at the HoJo pretty regularly. Once we have dates and a headcount, I'll see what he can do for us.

If the rate isn't available, I would be willing to try the Candy Cane or the Tropicana.

OMG, I don't know about scary, but homeschooling 3 kids certainly deserves one of these: :worship: Okay, make that two. :worship: :worship:

Oh no!! Not crazy at all!!! For me ots only a couple of hours on the plane... So it really isnt far at all..:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Oh, good.

The Sealion Caves arent that far from me. Maybe 1 1/2 hours drive. Do you remember how bad it smelled? Thats what everybody remembers.

So you have a connection?? :scratchin

Here is the Desert Inn and suites...the C2 Parlor Family room is the one I checked for $159 per night... That would sleep 4, maybe 5 if someone wanted to sleep on the couch.
http://www.anaheimdesertinn.com/room_suites.htm
That's nice too.

Okay, good to know. I'll try to get a head count once we have the dates. Or at least an approximate one. It might be challenging to get an exact one because if it's anything like last time, we had some who said they'd go but then we never heard from them again, and some who joined a few weeks/months after the initial planning started.

But I'll let you know what we have at that time. :thumbsup2

Hopefully we'll get the rate but if not it's nice to know we have lots of other options.

staley, I'm in Tacoma too! Hi from Stadium/Downtown!

I liked HoJo, we stayed there for 2 days after 4 days at Paradise Pier, and the value was much better than PP. Unless it's a Westin (snob), I go for value for the money, and PP doesn't have much of that, IMO.

In fact I just booked 4 days there for December. First three days I used the AP rate through mousesavers (15% off rack rate), and the fourth day the Entertainment book rate (use SD50 when booking online through the HoJo Anaheim website). SD50 just wasn't available those first 3 days, but I'm going to check back and back and back until we go. :)

You don't have to get the local Entertainment book, unless you want something specific to that area. I have the South Puget Sound book, and the card was fine at HoJo Anaheim. and since my book is only $25 ($20 right now with the $5 off and free shipping), it's a better deal than buying the Orange County one! You can order any of them, though...if you're going to be traveling elsewhere between now and next Nov, you can order the one for where you're going to be, if they have coupons (you can look at it online) that work for that trip. For instance, I considered plunking down $45 for the San Diego book, b/c my December trip will involve San Diego, but I'm sure that I can get better deals for the Zoo than their coupon, and they didn't have SeaWorld, so I just went with my local one again. Good coupons for coffee shops and frozen yogurt. :)

blah blah blah.

I only say that for information...I spent too many years of my life being picky about trips and such with other people, and made everyone miserable. So unless I'm a point of contact, I just go along.

However, I'm not sure that I'm good to room with, b/c I snore, but can't sleep when others are snoring. :confused3 I know, it's ridiculous. Especially since DH and DS also snore and we have a family bed. I have NO idea how I sleep...

I'd give out the cookies they made, but I think they are all about to be eaten! Right now DS is putting sour cream on the cookies and making sandwiches of them. :scared:

I would love to do tours...

Ive been known to travel with earplugs. Actually I use to sleep with them b/c DH keeps me up with his snoring. I listen to sleep CDS now and use fans. Last night was the first night with out the fan on the air conditioner running.

The Sealion Caves arent that far from me. Maybe 1 1/2 hours drive. Do you remember how bad it smelled? Thats what everybody remembers.
Really? No actually I don't remember that. I guess being a kid the smell didn't bother me. I always wanted to go back, but now it probably would! :rotfl:
Such a beautiful area though.

Thanks for the info on the Entertainment books! I got mine from a fundraiser at the kids school for 20 bucks and it's already saved us lots here in Vegas.

I don't snore, I like to refer to it as breathing loudly. :rolleyes1 ;)

Sour cream on the cookies??? That's so wrong. :lmao:

It is very pretty here. DSS only remembers how bad it smells in the cave.

Just an FYI ladies, right now the April and May trip dates are tied at 6/6, so it could still go either way for those who had a preference. I don't, but I know some did.

Okay, I need to get my kiddos into bed but before I go, here's a little "get to know you" quiz just for fun if anyone cares to fill it out. I found it online and tweaked it just a bit to include some Disney questions.
