No free breakfast :guilty:. The rooms are large with mini fridge, coffee maker. Theres a nice little store, the pools are nice, only one hot tub:sad2: .

I consider myself a HoJo expert (you can see how many times I have stayed there in my sig line). I have never stayed there without using the ent. rate. I do DLR trip planning as a side business and send all my clients to the HoJo as well.

The HoJo does not offer any kind of continental breakfast. All their rooms have refrigerators, but only some (office rooms and suites) offer microwaves. The ART shuttle is available, but the hotel is about an 8 minute walk to the esplanade. MiMi's Cafe is right across the street and has awesome food. If there is anything else you need to know about their rooms/bldgs. let me know. I pretty much know the layout like the palm of my hand. :thumbsup2

Oh, my name is Callie. :wave2:
Thanks Nicole and Callie! And nice to "meet" you btw. LOL I'm glad I don't have to run around asking everyone if they've seen DangerMouse. ;) :rotfl2:

I already have everyone's screen names down that's posted here, so once I get the other names I can make a list that you can print out later on. We can have one of these teachers around here give us a quiz.... :teacher: :rotfl:

Well, that's too bad HOJO doesn't have a breakfast, but if we can get a good deal then I don't mind bringing in muffins, granola bars, etc for breakfast. We can still save money that way. Having a fridge will help alot with that.

Thats what I do for breakfast. Get a water the night before and have those salty sweet granola bars. Easy quick and cheap.:thumbsup2 Although the nestle toll house cookies they sell at the Blue Ribbon Bakery are very good. I just discovered those last trip. When my mom read my TR she said to me "You definetly have a theme to your trip report, where you ate, what you ate and the what rides you went on." I asked " What else is there to do? You would roll your eyes if I talked about what stores I shopped a."

Im not quite as familiar to the Hojo as you, but Im getting there. I brought the map home so my DSIL and I would have it for reference in the future. (we now consider it our "home" hotel. )
A map?? How big is this place? :rotfl2:

Okay... My name is Megan, and I like Hojo's as well!
Hi Megan! Another HoJo fan huh? Well, so far it seems to be a popular place. That's a good thing! Maybe we can all stay there. That would be fun!! Take over the HOJO!! :woohoo: :rotfl2:

Although if we're bringing the lime green thongs and the shoes, we might give new meaning to the name HOjo.... :rolleyes1

Okay, sorry. Family board. I'll be good. :)

:ssst: Just don't let the other people on this board know my real name. I've got a "dangerous" reputation to protect. :rolleyes1 : :rotfl2:

I love those granola bars. We brought some of those too last time on our family trip. Our hotel didn't have a free breakfast, but it had a fridge and microwave so we had fruit, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, cereal, trail mix, granola bars, etc. That was for 6 people though.
I'd be happy with just a muffin or granola bar. Or those cookies sound good too..... ;)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I think that they have a group discount as well...:scratchin I like the park vue rooms.. :thumbsup2 I tried the sd50 code, and it didnt show anything yet...

And right after you find out if those rates are good for the trip dates....find out how one gets and the price of the Entertainment card.

That price rocks! Like Beth says, the rooms are mostly for sleeping. The Desert Inn and Suites seemed like a good choice too. The 2 double beds and the separate living room. Maybe you should get at least one of those for the Ladies Party night you'll have to plan. You'll have a theme drink for this trip too, won't you. ;)

Oh Shelley! You are truly considering this aren't you? :cool1: I'm sure your future employer will be glad to give you time off to come to California! DVC points are good at all of the DLR Hotels.
Let me know once you know if you can come, and we can make hotel plans if you need a roommate. If you don't come I'll probably just commute up a couple of days.

Amy, I'm older than you are - so don't worry. You won't be the oldest of the group. ;)

Quick question for those of you wanting to stay at HoJo. If for some reason, we can't get the entertainment rate, would you still stay there? I mean, is it still a good deal? :confused3

Thank you!!! I live in Tacoma..

I live in Eugene OR, so you arent too far-ish from me. I was thinking that it was crazy for me to even consider this. Im glad Im not the only one from farther away.:goodvibes

The rate I am getting right now is about $122. per night... I think that the Desert Inn and suites is alot cheaper then that, and closer...
