Hi Ladies!

Wow, so much chatting last night. Sad stuff, funny stuff, heart touching stuff. I just love you gals!

I did not multi quote, but wanted to say:

Shame on big mouth Gram. But heh, just harness the anger and use it to prove her wrong. You know that Laila is a gift and your life is far from over. I believe that everything works out the way it is supposed to according to plan, and I don't think even Grandma's know what that plan is, ya know?

Also, shame on holiday thieves! My bff just had her purse stolen from the shopping cart too. So that is now 3 people that I know of that have been stolen from this year. Is there just more desperation out there, or what?

Here is my update: My Mom's procedure turned out to be pointless. It did not resolve her dizziness, blacking out issues. Very dissapointing and she is so sad. I feel really bad for her and hope that they can figure it out soon. The doctoring is so expensive, and her medical coverage is just 50%, so she is racking up the bills too, which only adds to her stress.

Hubby and I were at Costco looking at computers. We have been struggling with our home unit, which is a Dell that I paid a fortune for 5 years ago and has been a dog from day one. Anyhow, we had been thinking on a new computer for a year or so, but not wanting to spend a ton on it. Well, after cancelling our Disney Christmas trip, we decided to bite the bullet and just get good computer we needed so that I could do the home movie editing, etc that I wanted to do. We found a $1050 version with $150 off and were set to buy it, but they were out, so we were going to have to drive to a different store. As we were leaving, we stopped to look at some car speaker thing for my phone. Bill looked up at the shelf above the speaker display and asked me how badly I hated Dell. Anyhow...long story short...we bought a quad processor 650GB hard drive 8 GBRam, with a gigantic monitor for...$400!! It was the display unit, so there were no books or discs and had a gigantic scratch on the screen. We brought it home, and Bill took a wet rag to the monitor and whalaa, no scratch! Fired it up and it works great! I have been working on my movies and it is amazing! So, Merry Xmas to me!

Oh, and I did start trying to budget a trip to Disneyland Jan 14-18, but so far no buy in from my dh. Oh well, worth a try. I know that once our AP's expire on Feb 14th, a trip will not happen for a long time!

I guess I am ready for Xmas. Bill has done all the shopping. I don't even know what all we are giving the kids. I have been in a funk. Today I will go and get some stocking stuffers as my contribution. I have not done any baking. Made a couple of batches of fudge, but it did not even turn out decent. My tree is decorated and lovely and that makes me happy. No big plans, just the kids and husband and I this year. My SIL wanted me to cook dinner and have them over but I said no thanks.

Oh, we got the Wii fit for Xmas from my sister. I am 55 in wii years. Can you believe it? Also, I am OBESE! Maybe that is why I am feeling so blue:(
And to top it off, it said my husband was his true age, and in shape:confused3

Okay, well I think I will go work out! Not sure if I will be on again much as I am going to be playing with the kidlets and the dog (oh yeah, we have the best dog ever!).

Have a wonderful couple of days gals!
Tracey

Oh Tracey, I am so sorry about the Wii. I may have thrown the darn thing across the room and uttered "oooopppps, did I just do that?"

Our computer is dead right now, too. I have my "little lulu" Acer at home that is very hard to type on. We were thinking of getting a Dell - hoping to get a killer after Christmas deal. They are not a good brand to get? Anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah for the pretty tree. It's my favorite part of Christmas. That and seeing all the family. We're not seeing everyone as I refuse to drive all over CA with DH being so fatigued but we will still be very busy.

Courtney - I am at work, too. But we do get to leave after our luncheon. Probably around 2-ish.

Happy Christmas Eve Everyone!:)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY !!
I hope everyone gets what they wish for. As for me, I'll be needing a new washing machine as my 21 year old one finally gave out last night. It's been repaired twice already and not worth another repair job.

Merry Christmas Divas! I hope you all have a wonderful day with family and friends. We're going over to my Mom's to play cards, watch Christmas Vacation and eat like pigs:lmao: Then tomorrow we're staying home and opening presents in our PJ's for the first time ever:goodvibes

I remember the first time I played Wii fit, my little person got fatter and fatter than started to wobble like she was going to fall over. The flashing OBESE didn't help either:sad2:

Hello everyone!

I'm at work today. But at least we get to leave 2 hours early, at 3:00pm so just one more hour.:woohoo:

I hope you all have a great Christmas! :santa:

Merry Christmas Eve to my Diva friends! Hope you all make wonderful Christmas memories with your families! (Even you, Debra and AmySue!)

We're working on our traditional Polish Christmas Eve meal which includes Pierogies and Ham. I also mixed together our Christmas morning egg bake so I can just pop it in the oven in the morning. YUM! We've been cooking all day. Yep, even me!

Love to all!

Callie

Merry Christmas eve girls!
We are half way to his parents house. It has been a busy, busy morning!
So the torture will commence in about 1 hour, yay me!!
I hope everyone is having a great day!

I hope everyone is having a great Christmas Eve. It's crazy here at my house. I just finished wrapping up the last of the presents and my mom is still wrapping up her baked goods. I should be getting ready right about....NOW. Since Jingles is PMS'ing :lmao:we've decided not take her to my aunt's place while visiting my dad's mom because her dogs aren't too friendly to begin with so we don't want anything to happen. We'll pick her up on our way to Lancaster. I'm soooooo hungry.

Hi Divas--don't have time to read back everything but wanted to weigh in on a few things.

First of all--Merry Christmas to my fave girls!!! Like others, I cherish each and every one of you. What a "family" we have become-eh?

Deb, I'm with you on the dog thing. I love dogs, but not enough to take them along.
LOL--I called my cousin and asked if we could bring Bella tomorrow to her house for dinner--I hate the thought of her being home and all alone -- my cousin has three dogs. She's gonna have a blast!

Hubby and I were at Costco looking at computers. We have been struggling with our home unit, which is a Dell that I paid a fortune for 5 years ago and has been a dog from day one.

Tracey: first, I would have thrown the Wii across the room too. If that's what a WiiFit does, not for me! LOL

Second, all of my office computers are Dells and they have performed magnificently. My office-mate's Dell just died (after several years) and they actually shipped out (free) an upgraded reconditioned unit. So, I like Dell--but will also say that several years ago I ordered one from QVC and had to send it back--major issues. But I think the moral of the story is that if it doesn't perform well in the first two weeks just take it back and get a different one (plus I think the QVC ones had "issues" with the way they were constructed).

Ok--today I've made a cheesecake, baked three ClaimJumper pies (yes, I cheated) and wrapped several gifts. Going now to get dressed and go to dinner at a friends (I did the wine).

Love you all--have a great magical Christmas Eve!

Cheryl

Umm I have been here 30 minutes and on glass number 2 of Magicale!!

Yea for Magical! We are leaving Mary Poppins. It was worth every penny! Fabulous. charming sets, great story. The two leads are the originals from broadway and just wonderful. Very kind of them to show up and put on such a great show on Christmas Eve. A sold out peformance.

(Tracey the wii does that because they didn't adjust it enough to American bodies. Do not let the machine win!) (s)

Have a Lovely Christmas Eve my divas.

Tracie - I too would have thrown the Wii out the window!

We are ready...I worked today and also cooked, cleaned and rearranged the dining room. The table is set, everything is ready to go into the oven and now it's off to the shower for me.

Donna - I am sooo glad to hear your reveiw of Mary Poppins - I am so excited to give the kids their tickets in the morning along with their Mary Poppins umbrellas!

Merry Christmas to all of my new friends. You are the best! Have a wonderful time with your family and friends...hold them close and give them lots of kisses.

Hugs to you all! :grouphug:

I'm the first one ready and I'm tired, hungry and all dressed up. I'm wearing the pearl set (earrings, necklace, bracelet and ring) that my grandma bought me a couple years ago and Diana curled my hair so I feel very fancy :snooty:

Heck, I'm even wearing heels!

I hope you all have a great night and a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

LOL Deb! Hang in there girl. Just be yourself. When we did the chefs table at Napa Rose two weeks ago Breezy & I did the wine pairings. The server describes each wine in detail when brought to you. It was dessert time and she was approaching us with two flutes of red semi bubbly liquid and before she could even set them down I burst out "Is that Magicale!?" and she said "why yes, it is". We were giddy and squealed with delight. I think she thought we were a bit weird. We savored every sip.:lovestruc

Donna, I am so happy to hear that about the show! We are all super excited to go on Sunday. When does Vicki go? And how cute they got the kids umbrellas.:) I assume your MIL enjoyed her gift. It will be fun to compare notes about it next time we meet.

Happy Christmas Eve everyone. DH & Breezy are cuddling on the couch and Spikey is trying to chew the ribbon on a gift. Life is good.:cloud9:

Love and Light to all.:littleangel:

I'm sure you look beautiful Miss Cristabel.:bride:

Hi all! I had to skim read everyone's posts, you guys were chatty today! :lmao:

I got DH to work with me to clean up mountains of pine needles that blew in the Big Winds on Monday/Tuesday. The gardener came on Monday of course. Meanwhile, was racing around the house trying to find places to store misc papers and such. Finally got the plastic boxes into the garage.

All this because my dear MIL arrived today from snowy Philly. I adore her, and I do appreciate her because she's the only relative I really have, but she doesn't always get it. She is a Jeopardy zombie - put it on and she just zones out and walks slowly toward the tv, mumbling answers in the form of questions.

Tina, I think that's so cool you have this huge family via Marty.

Love how the hoodie came out, vintage disney!

Stacie, how cool that your co-workers knew you so well to gift you that way. Isn't it nice to be appreciated? You too, Amysue

Bree, we have the same rock fireplace wall! When was your house built? The sub is great. And I loved your family photos.
Linda - soooo true about booze.

Deb - I do love dogs and cats but I had a friend who had to bring her psycho adopted dog over to my house when she came, because if she left him in their humungous house, with one of the biggest backyards ever, he would destroy it. Well, so of course, said dog manages to destroy my yard (pulling up two bushes in mere minutes). It was awful how she brought him everywhere because he couldn't bear to be left alone.

KATE - I cannot believe she did that in a Christmas card. Has she met Laila? Because if she had, she could not say that. She is the most amazing little human spirit ever.

Tomorrow we take MIL to Mary Poppins for her birthday present. I hope she likes it.

I have no idea when my house was built! 50s or 60s is my guess. We're renting it in Long Beach and all we know is that it's been remodeled a few times. =)

Nothing wrong with that - Merry Christmas :thumbsup2

Glad you had a great time at Mary Poppins! Merry Christmas!!

We're back from Christmas Eve dinner with the family and time to chill with some Baileys and coffee (cheers Vegas Divas!!).

Merry Christmas girlies!!!
