Ok I'm a bad Diva--I JUST mailed my exchange cards and couldn't stand in line to mail the ones to the Canadian Divas. So, everyone you will get your cards late--especially those in Canada! Sorry!

a Christmas card from my grandma that lives up north & it was a little hurtful towards me. It's just very shocking because she's usually very supportive .
Bad Grandma! Not good timing--and Laila is so sweet. Lots of people are having hard times right now--whether you made the right or wrong choice to have a baby has nothing to do with it. And, it's not her business anyway--even if she is your grandmother.

a little ball of joy.princess: No judgemental thoughts here.

Love ya cutie! (and all my Divas@)

Beth--have a great time with Gordie!

Everyone--I am SOOOO not ready for christmas. It has never been this bad. oh well--it is what it is.

vicki--I bet Dawn and your Grandma are making cookies right now! Ok--have to run back to work--was just dropping off Bella because I'm going to drinkies with some clients/friends, and then have to finish shopping and buy cleaning supplies for the cleaning lady who is coming tomorrow! :scared1:

Ever know what you want to say but your not sure how to say it??? I'm feeling like this right now. :confused3 I just want to say that our group has pulled together to 'take care of our own' many times this year and I want to say THANK YOU ALL!!! Up until this group I have had only a few close friends (and they live across the country....thanks to the AF). You all are amazing and I am very thankful to have you all in my life and more importantly thankful that we have each other in our lives.
I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

Steph

I totally agree with you Steph. I feel that we were all meant to be friends. I feel like I have known you all forever and are true friends. Not just ladies I chat with on line. I am grateful for each and every one of you.

I just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I apolgize that some of my cards did not get out. Half did but the other half were stolen, guess they thought there was money in them. We've had a real mess at home this past week :sad1:and thankful that Ayden still has gifts coming from Santa that were hidden and not out in plain view like all our other gifts were. Anyway, I still have so much to be thankful for. Merry Christmas to you all.

I am so sorry to hear that. Some people are just rotten.

I made my shirt. It didn't photograph very bright but it looks much better in person.

disshirtback001-1.jpg

I'll add the front pic next since I can't seem to get 2 pics here at once.

That came out awesome. Let me know where to sent my shirt so you can do it for me. ;)

BTW - I love how you officially include your FB cafe and your farm into your daily schedule. LOL! :rotfl:

Isn't that what you are supposed to do??

Good Morning Divas! I hope you are all ready for the holidays!

I'm a little down right now. I receivd a Christmas card from my grandma that lives up north & it was a little hurtful towards me. It's just very shocking because she's usually very supportive .

It basically said she's disappointed in how my life has turned out & that having another baby was not a good thing & was probably the cause of most of my problems!!! Thanks grandma :guilty:! I mean if she's feels this way, why not tell me later. She could have left it out of the Christmas card.

No matter how hard my life is now, I will never regret having Laila!! She's the sweetest baby & her personality always cheers me up when I'm down. To me she is a blessing!

I agree whole heartedly with what Steph said earlier. I'm just so glad to have you all in my life. You're all more like my family than my actual family & you don't judge me as harshly.

Love ya all!

So sorry to hear that Katie. Sometimes family means well, but is not always appropriate is getting that across. I know my family as proud of me as they are, wishes I would have go down another path. If I got married, and lived the white picket fence life, they would be more proud of me than what I have accomplished. But its just not for me. I am happy with my life and how it turned out. As long as you can be proud of yourself, that is all that matters. And you should be proud. YOu have raised to amazing kids, and the little one is following their footsteps. Don't let what your grandma get you down. She is older and thinks with older views.

Janelle - I'm so sorry that happened to you! I hope the cops catch the jerk!

My poor little Jingles is very mopey

She either wants to sleep by the fireplace or be held. She looks so cute and ridiculous in that diaper :lmao:

I just have to buy two more gifts and I'm done with shopping for my family. I can't believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve, where did my week go?

Maybe Jingles has cramps. She is in heat you know.

So I just got my going away gift from the staff. It was amazing!!! They got me a full set of disney desk acessories. I can't wait to get home and post the pics. They do love me.

Hi ladies! I hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far! I used my submarine instead of a tree this year with the roommates and wanted to show you how cute it looks!

Also, I uploaded a few pictures from our trip to Disneyland that I thought were good...

Us waiting for the Holiday Parade (amazing, might I add!)

And this last one is a tad blurry but I LOVED the tree at The Grand!

I hope you all have a very magical holiday and I can't wait to see you all in February! :santa:

Good job Trudi. Thanks for posting that. Now we know it can be done. :thumbsup2 Not by me of course, as I am hopeless at that sort of thing. :rotfl:
l

Yes Beth, you can do it !!!! After printing it out and cutting on the dotted lines I taped it to the front and back of the sweatshirt for the right placement., and tried it on. Tape on the WRONG side of tranfer or the tape will pull off some of the print. Then I carefully placed it on a board to iron it, and removed the tape. Don't put it directly on the ironing board, you need a hard firm surface, so I used my wood cutting board on top of my ironing board, which I never use for food, otherwise when you iron, your shirt might smell like onions or something ! Oh, don't forget to peel off the transfer backing before ironing.

Thanks for sharing the pics Bree. You guys look so cute waiting for the parade. And I love the "tree".

Great pictures, you all look so good and the submarine is sooo cute! It was fun seeing you all following the parade on Sunday! It was great to get to say one last hello/goodbye!

Great job! We're going to work on ours after the first of the year.

Katie, that is not ok. You are a great mom and doing your best. I think the older we get, the more we think others want to hear our opinion. But seriously, not ok nor appropriate nor constructive at all. Toss the card and focus on your beautiful children!

I totally agree with you Steph. I feel that we were all meant to be friends. I feel like I have known you all forever and are true friends. Not just ladies I chat with on line. I am grateful for each and every one of you.

I whole-heartedly agree, with you Stacie.
And Jingles has cramps? Poor baby!

So I just got my going away gift from the staff. It was amazing!!! They got me a full set of disney desk acessories. I can't wait to get home and post the pics. They do love me.

Nice!

Bree--Thanks for sharing the pics. It looks like you all had a great, festive time. And I love the sub as you tree! Classic!

Well girls, all I have left is to make a batch of gingerbread cookies for a client, and then I am really, really done! Luckily, I already have gingerbread and peanut butter dough in the fridge, so I just have to do the fun part tonight.

Big hugs and lots of love to all! :grouphug:

BTW - I love how you officially include your FB cafe and your farm into your daily schedule. LOL! :rotfl:

:cutie: :rolleyes1

I don't know what I am going to at his parents house?? They have dial up :scared1: But thank God for my iPhone!! too bad I can't get my cafe on it. :guilty: Geesh what am I going to do when I go back to work next week or school the week after??? :confused3

Oh Deb - good luck at the in-laws. That sounds excrutiating (I don't like dogs or smoke, I know, I know, don't shoot me). And you couldn't pay me enough to sit through an entire movie of the chipmunks voices. ALLLVIN!!! Oye. Still, I hope you have a great time with your boys and Laramie's family. You are so laid back and mellow, low maintenance and no whining. Not much gets to you, I can tell, I need to try and emulate you more. You're awesome.:thumbsup2

Only a short time until Christmas - I am soooo ready!

Ok don't shoot me either...But I am not a fan of dogs. Laramie has a boxer, she was cute & ok when she was puppy, BUT then she grew up! :scared1: She is icky. She has no manners, seriously she would pee when people would come over. Finally I was like she is not coming in the house any more. Oh and then when she went in heat the first time  we had to clean the carpet like 5 times. So gross. Not all dogs are as bad as his dog or his moms dog. But really his sister & his sister in law they have to bring their dogs alongs. :confused3 I guess being the non dog person, I dont understand why you would do this? I never brought my cat places? So you get 3 or 4 dogs plus his parents & his sister & his grandma smoke, I am going to be sneezing like crazy!! I am allergic to animal hair anyway. I am not sure how the boys had a cat for so long. Jordan was 2 and outside with his uncle Stephan & this black cat just suddenly appeared and never left. ;)

So I am so thankful for my friend Captain Morgan & the 2 bottles of wine I am bringing with me!!

I hope I didn't offend the dog peeps. But not all dogs are bad. Theirs are just well.......:scared1:

Oh ya, the Chipmunks was well, ehhh...Kind of dumb IMO.
Steph~ I agree with what you wrote! Very well put!
Katie~ Sorry about your grandma. Sometimes we loose tact as we get older.
Vickie~ I am happy you got to listen to your grandma's service. Have fun with your mixed Christmas party.
Janelle~ I hope the cops catch the dirtbags that did that. How awful.

Bree~ I love the Christmas sub! Cute pics!
Beth~ Have a great date night.
Cheryl~ hi
Cristabel~ I feel for Jingles, I have cramps also :rotfl2:
Tina~ yummo cookies.
Donna~ Hi
I just made Papa Murphy's for dinner & now the boys & I are going to watch a Christmas Story! I love that movie!!

I hope everyone is having a good night!

Just wanted to stop by & thank everyone for the Christmas Cards.....it's funny how such a little thing can cheer you up!!!

Also wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!!! We're as ready as we're going to be this year....thank God for Angels who look over us & make sure everyone will have a wonderful Christmas morning!!!!

Hugs & love to all!!!

I totally agree. While I don't post much I do read the posts between meetings at work. Stragely enough it makes me feel connected. Working in the online industry and working in a remot office with only ~40 people, there aren't alot of human connections I get to make. A lot of phone calls and video chats, but all business related. With my sister & 2 best friends living at least 1 -2 states away it's nice to hear about your lives and know that I have something to look forward to planning & attending each year.

Merry Christmas all:santa:

I also love what Steph said, and truly wish I had said it myself. I am also in agreement with what Kerry said. I moved to CA 12 years ago for my husband leaving a very established and beloved network of friends in Ohio. SInce moving here, I have not made any friends who I really felt I could connect with really. They have been convenient car pool, play date kind of friends. You guys are my link with friendship, and having girl friends again in my life has made me a much happier person. I read often, often don't post, but think of you all as my "friends of the heart".

Good Lord, that was awful mushy of me, must be the bottle of fancy dancy tequila a client gave to me.

Go out and buy your granny a social filter.....come on old woman, think before you speak. I am incensed that someone who you love would be that thoughtless and hurtful to you.

I know it has been so tough for you Katie, and I have been impressed again and again how you just keep going, pleasant and supportive of all of us. You are awesome, really. To infer that that darling little child is in anyway a mistake, well, I am sputtering with indignation.

Try to shake it off Katie.....grr arrgghh, where did I put that voodoo doll and pins?
]

Do dogs get cramps?
hmmm............. AMY SUE!

No. A dog's heat cycle is nothing like a human period. We sluff our lining since we didn't get pregnant. The dog's heat cylce is the dog's body getting all primed to breed and make babies. The blood is not from the uterus, it is from the va****. It is calle diapedesis, which is basically the high amounts of estrogen cause capillary leakage in the V, which gets diluted out with the extra secretions that are preparing for breeding.

TMI, TMI, TMI. But, Cristabel asked. I would be bumming if I were a dog who is suddenly forced to wear a diaper. Just sayin'...talk about chafing. SOme dogs just don't seem to be themselves during a cycle. It is likely hormonal, just not cramping.

Oh, and Stacie....lost your quote...but cool gift!! And doesn't everyone like you? Let us know about your new job.

I scored at work with gifties. I got a pluto mug, 4 glass ornaments that are disney and some disney candy canes. I guess they know me.

Merry day before the day before Christmas.

Hey Deb,

I have dogs and I am not offended. I have never understood why people need to bring their dogs whereever they go. I have never done that...and send anyone home who brings their dogs to my house. I have 4 cats too, and I will NOT have them harrassed!! My dogs are pretty well behaved, but love company, so their fuzzy butts are usually sent outside when people are over.

I am the first to get annoyed when people have their dogs on shopping trips....in the grocery store? I think that is a health code violation.

And you are a nicer person than I. I will not go where there are smokers. Ick, gag, and ruin my day.

I go to EL Segundo tomorrow for the long and painful annual Christmas party at the MIL. My husband is the youngest of 9...so there are far too many of THEM and only one of me. I learned early that I start drinking the moment I enter the house, and don't stop until I leave. Unfortunately with traffic, we end up on the road for about 6 hours. Gosh, I can't wait.

NOT!!!

I've got mine out, and I'm using it!

My long and painful Christmas at MIL's is the 26th. Marty is the oldest of 8, so I know what you mean! I've got my wine all ready to bring with me, sister! The good thing is, she lives 90 minutes closer to our friends' cabin, and we're going straight there from Gillum Family Christmas. So we're spending 3 days with various family (24th, 25th, 26th), and a week with our chosen family up in the mountains! Is that wrong? :rolleyes1

See, that's what we are talking about...Katie, we got your back!!!!!

And, I wish I could find an upside to the Christmas torture every year...okay, at least it doesn't ruin Christmas for me. My family always did gifts and all on Christmas day, so I just work my way through the family thing. I think only 7 of the 9 kids will be there. All the other grandkids are 20 years plus, so my DD gets totally spoiled. Ugh, I don't want to go.

Oh, yeah, merry Christmas and ho ho ho.

AmySue

Thank goodness I thought I was the only one who does not understand why people feel the need to tote their poor animals around like dolls? Maybe it's because we were only allowed to have cats as a kid? I could totally see myself & my friend Liberty being the crazy cat ladies sitting on the porch with a bottle of reisling!!
This will be the first holiday that I spend at his parents house. The boys and I usually have a pretty low key Christmas, lunch at my aunts house or with friends then off to the movie theater followed by a Christmas movie marathon!
Hehehe I am so glad that Amysue and Tina are going to be enduring the same torture of the in-laws like I am! I am happy I am not alone!!
The drinking will start at 4 pm tomorrow and stop when I go to bed Friday night!

AmySue - you crack me up!
I hope no one was offended by my comments either. I mean some dogs are very sweet and cute, I am just a cat person. And I know a lot of people don't like cats, but it's ok.:) My little Spikey is already spoiled and loved to death.:lovestruc The pic of Jingles is sad - she is not groovin' on that diaper! But I understand not wanting "the mess" in your house. As far as smokers, both my parents still smoke (IN THEIR OWN HOUSE!:scared1:) and DH just quit 2 years ago, so I am tolerant, but boy it sure does stink.

One last comment for now....Booze makes pretty much any unpleasant event tolerable. And most pleasant occasions even better. That's my motto!

Hi Baby Girl! So nice to see you posting.:goodvibes

Just wanted to say, she rarely posts, but we talk about you guys all the time.:)

Congrats to finally being done with all your work, Tina.
