Merry Christmas
Kaeleb and I are tracking Santa! He trying to get his brother to go to bed!
Donna~ sounds like Mary Poppins was really good! I hope it comes somewhere close to us!

Umm I have been here 30 minutes and on glass number 2 of Magicale!!

Yummmm... Magicale! Just means we need to order some more before the trip, right?

Yea for Magical! We are leaving Mary Poppins. It was worth every penny! Fabulous. charming sets, great story. The two leads are the originals from broadway and just wonderful. Very kind of them to show up and put on such a great show on Christmas Eve. A sold out peformance.

Donna - I am sooo glad to hear your reveiw of Mary Poppins - I am so excited to give the kids their tickets in the morning along with their Mary Poppins umbrellas!

I am so jealous of you both!! Mary Poppings sounds amazing.

When we did the chefs table at Napa Rose two weeks ago Breezy & I did the wine pairings. The server describes each wine in detail when brought to you. It was dessert time and she was approaching us with two flutes of red semi bubbly liquid and before she could even set them down I burst out "Is that Magicale!?" and she said "why yes, it is". We were giddy and squealed with delight. I think she thought we were a bit weird. We savored every sip.:lovestruc

I  the chef's table. By pure luck, my dh and I got to sit there for our anniversary last year. My dh did the flights and I just had magicale with all courses. I ended up drinking 5 glasses! :rolleyes1

I hope you all are having a good Christmas Eve. I just finished making 7 layer dip, devilled eggs, the our dessert for dinner tomorrow and some cake balls. We are headed to bed then a day of presents and video chats.

No, what's really bad is when you step on the wii and the little voice goes.. "oh!" I hate that. :lmao:

Oh, I hope so too. Otherwise, maybe you can fit it in when you are here at Dl...? I knew it had good reviews but I didn't realize that it was great. The director has directed for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Sounds great, Kerry! Go go go and see MP...

I have no idea when my house was built! 50s or 60s is my guess. We're renting it in Long Beach and all we know is that it's been remodeled a few times. =)

Ah, I see. These fireplaces are impossible to remodel. Everyone keeps them. My house is 1966.

Donna, I am so happy to hear that about the show! We are all super excited to go on Sunday. When does Vicki go? And how cute they got the kids umbrellas.:) I assume your MIL enjoyed her gift. It will be fun to compare notes about it next time we meet.

Happy Christmas Eve everyone. DH & Breezy are cuddling on the couch and Spikey is trying to chew the ribbon on a gift. Life is good.:cloud9:
:

Aw... cute. Vicki goes New Year's Eve, which will be wonderful! :goodvibes

Theresa, yum, Baileys! Hi Shirley! Christabel, heels? Wow!

Tracie - I too would have thrown the Wii out the window!

We are ready...I worked today and also cooked, cleaned and rearranged the dining room. The table is set, everything is ready to go into the oven and now it's off to the shower for me.

:

I hope it all went swimmingly! :cutie: They really feature that umbrella in the show too, so every kid wants one. You are all going to LOVE this show. I am purposely not revealing anything so every moment will be fresh for all of you. :wizard:

I have the table set for tomorrow and everyone is asleep (including the cats). Cinnamon rolls are rising in the fridge for tomorrow's breakfast. Lunch will be limpa bread and deli cold cuts. Then I'm doing a turkey, the first one I've done in years. Let's hope it works out!

Merry Christmas, all.

Merry Christmas everyone!! Didn't think I would be on today but everyone here is still asleep as they should be since it's only 5:30 LOL. We didn't go to bed till after 11 cuz we had to wait till the girls went to sleep to put the gifts under the tree but I just couldn't sleep. The older I get the less I can sleep LOL. But anyway after tossing and turning for a few hours I decided to get up cuz I knew that the house needed another straightening since mom and dad are coming over to watch the girls open their gifts.

We had a VERY nice Christmas eve. Very low key but nice. We went to mom's and had a very small but nice meal and then went to church where we had our LAST christmas eve service. Our pastor was talking about it and it really brought back a LOT of memories and I am really upset at what is happening. When it was still the methodist church it started out in one of those OLD bldgs that looks like a church/school and probably was. It had the high steeple with a bell. It was very small and they actually used it as their church till I believe the 50's or 60's when our current church was built across the street. It was the methodist church when I attended as a teen and I was a brides maid, the one and only time I did that, at that church and have MANY fond memories of christmases and days with my friends. We had been wanting to go back to church but weren't sure if we would go back there or try a new one and I wanted to wait till our lives got a little less crazy and we could go as a family. In the summer of 08 the girls went to vacation bible school there and we have been going back ever since. I don't know WHAT the fate of our congregation is as I still haven't heard if they found a new bldg or not and we have not decided if we are going to follow the pastor or look for a new church. I HATE to leave because we have friends there etc but it depends how far away he has to go and several other factors. They have to be out by April 30 so the girls aren't even going to be able to finish their Awana year there. :(

Anyway we are leaving it up to Prayer and whatever god has in store for our church!

But anyway then after services we went to my aunt's sister's house where we go pretty much every year and they have "santa" come and give the girls gifts so it was a lot of fun! Katy has been wanting a hair dryer so "santa" got her a hello kitty one and shelby got some my little pet shop figures that she has been wanting.

Now I am just home waiting for everyone to get up and it is going to be a pretty low key day for us. Just open up gifts and have breakfast here and then go to mom's and open the stuff from them and then have our christmas meal there with just us and them. Lynn is supposed to come over so that should be interesting. We never even hear from her anymore now that she has moved in with her friends.

The next big deal for US is Katy's birthday next week. We always celebrate with family on her actual birthday which is NYE and then I am having her party next Sat. So hopefully it all works out! Then it is back to the grind and I hope I can get my butt in gear cuz I REALLY want to lose at LEAST 10 lbs before the trip! We shall see! I am SO excited! Can't wait!

Merry Merry Christmas everyone and see you this weekend! ENJOY!!! :)

Merry Christmas!

The boys are still asleep. DH is cooking breakfast, and Mom is in the shower. It's a nice quiet morning so far.

I can't wait until they wake up!

Donna, you have me all excited to see MP now. I can't wait.

We have no plans for the day other than to eat and play. It should be a fun day.

I pray Stacie made it north safely. Please check in and let us know how you are!

Have a wonderful day everyone. :goodvibes

I wanted to thank everyone for the kind words & having my back against my grandma . I feel better now & just have to accept my family for who they are & not let it get to me. I went to my parents last night & I'll just say that my kids are pretty upset with the family.

My family is nuts, besides my younger sister & her husband. They are the only sane ones in the bunch . My grandma did call down to talk to everyone & she didn't want to talk to me . I really don't know why she is being like this???? She even talked to my BIL (older sisters husband) who in the last 2 months has been fired from his job at Disneyland for his temper, got a restraining order from his former boss, was in jail for threatening someone at a bar with a knife, cheated on my sister & ..... I could go on & on. But I guess to my grandma he's above me :confused3.

Now for a more positive post ;):

CHRISTMAS-STOCKINGS.gif

Merry Christmas Divas! I hope Santa brought you everthing you wanted!

Thank you everyone for the gift card. I was able to get my kids some nice things & then I'm saving the rest to put towards Laila's birthday & saving some for a rainy day :thumbsup2.

Jill my kids loved the gifts & thank you for even thinking of me .

Linda thank you for the surprise package for Adara ;). She was excited it was such a big box .

I actually got a surprise from my DD! She had $30 she was saving & she decided to buy me a present with it. She went to the mall with her friend & her friends mom last week & she bought me a bracelet with crystals & some body spray from Bath & Body Works. I didn't want her to spend her money on me, but it really touched me that she thought to buy me a gift. It was a very sweet gesture :).

Thank you, Thank you & Thank you again to all the divas who made my families Christmas a little more special. I hope you all enjoy your day with your families & God Bless .

Well, my family just left. My dinner was ok, not as good as I had hoped. The prime rib was kinda "chewy". What makes it like that? But the wine and cupcakes were delish!;) And everyone had such a nice visit. My mom was so impressed with all my cards and I had to fess up that no, I have not suddenly become Miss Popularity after all these years but joined a card exchange group.:)

Katie - I kind of regretted sending that package right after I did it. Thinking is was in poor taste, but it was with the BEST intentions - I'm glad you know that. Anyway, please know it was done with love cause you are such an awesome mom, friend and diva.:santa:

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

...now off to finish the wine.:cutie:

Hello!! I had a fab day. I love a Christmas with just my DH, DD and I. We opened presents, ate sticky buns, went to the zoo, played with all of our loot, and watched a movie.

I loved every bit of it. Sometimes it is nice to be selfish little piggies all closed up in our lair not letting in anyone else!! KWIM?

Only sour note is that my Wolfhound got grease drippings off the counter AGAIN while we were watching a movie....and last time he did that we had some serious nasties coming out of his behind that resulted in IV fluids and lots of drugs.

Think good "firm" thoughts for the Gryff man and I. An 140 lb dog is not a good experience with the squirts!!

I got my DH a Kindle for Christmas...he thinks I am the coolest!!

Good evening gals! Hope everyone had a wonderful day! Katie I am sorry your family is being such a pain but I am so glad that your kids were able to enjoy a good christmas.

Linda sounds like a nice day! We had prime rib too and although mom forgot to turn on the oven at first, LOL, it was really good once it was done. We had prime rib, green salad, marinated broccoli and twice baked potatoes! YUM!

We got up this morning and the girls were very excited and loved everything. They had given me a list luckily a few months back and I had gotten mostly everything they wanted, luckily they were not too greedy and didn't want a whole lot. Mostly a few cds, dvds and some games and such. Katy got more stuff for her easy bake oven and the zhu zhu pets were a big hit! :)

Shane surprised me and he had gotten me a pair of earrings that matched the bracelet he bought me for my birthday and necklace I got for valentines. I saw the bracelet on the ladies trip last year and he bought me the bracelet and matching necklace and I got one for my birthday WHILE we were there and then the matching necklace for our anniversary this past year. Or maybe it was mother's day. Heck I can't remember but it was a big surprise. Well then when we were there in Oct we found the matching earrings and I REALLY wanted them because this particular set really doesn't go well with anything else. I admired them but they were a little pricey and I didn't think anything more of it. So I was VERY surpised to get them!! I also admired a really cute vintage Disney sweater that was pretty popular at that time. It is white with a scoop neck and a hood and has Mickey on it and says Disneyland. It was more than I usually like to spend so I just passed it on by. I THOUGHT he had bought me one of the Jim Shore figures I love so much but I love these even better!!!

Then we went to mom's and I got a beautiful pair of earrings that I had seen in Truckee when I was there over Thanksgiving and had wanted but were too expensive. I also needed a new saucepan and she got me a really nice non stick one. Plus I got a gift card for penneys and I plan to buy myself a new pair of house shoes tomorrow! :) And I got a docking station for my new phone. It is a thing that I can charge my phone in that lets it sit up and turns the whole face of the phone into a clock/night light. Plus it will let you play your music (if you have any downloaded) and show a slide show of your pics etc. It is a really cool thing!

The girls were really excited and got lots of fun little trinkets from mom and Shane got some golf stuff.

Over all it was a GREAT day! Lynn came over and I will admit it was a bit awkward but I know Shane and the girls were happy to see her and visit with her.

Anyway tomorrow mom and I will probably run out and check out the sales to get our usual paper, bows etc half off for next year and then she is headed to truckee and I have a bunch of errands I need to run.

I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL christmas and talk soon!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
We got home about an hour ago and we opened the remaining presents here at home. I got $50 from my parents :cool1: and a cute gum drop pillow from my little sister.

I hope everyone is having a great day with family.

Amy - sending you good thoughts and prayers for your Gryff, the squirts are a nasty thing to deal with :sad2:

Katie~ sorry your family was such Jack a****!!
sometimes family can be so mean!

Linda- I have never made prime rib but I really want to try. Sounds like you sent a very lovely care package!
AmySue - a day at the zoo sounds like fun!!

Oh my goodness today has been exhausting!! I can't remember the last time I had Christmas with such mayhem! It was loud, 7 kids from 13-4 opening presents, playing, wow! It looked like a paper & box factory exploded! But it was fun. Brucee got me the open heart angel neclace! I love it!! 3 books from the cookie murders! But sadly I need the blueberry cheese cake murder before I can read anymore. His parents gave me a digital photo frame! I love it! And $100.
I am pooped!
I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Carnation cafe reservations tomorrow!
That's right!! Bright and early, don't forget to call in ladies. And hopefully I won't sleep through my alarm..... :rolleyes1 :p

I hope everyone had a wonderful and Merry Christmas today. I know we did!! Everything went perfect. The kids were thrilled with everything they got. In fact, we all got some really nice things that we'd been wanting. :goodvibes

It was a great morning, and we had the huge traditional Christmas family breakfast. YUM.

But all good things must come to an end......and I have just finished packing up, boxing up, and putting back in the garage all five trees and all decorations. Whew. I'm exhausted!! It was fun having so many trees, but I have to say, it's nice to have things back to normal.

Enjoy your weekend everyone. Talk to y'all tomorrow. Night! :cloud9:

Beth, I'm so impressed you already have your trees put away?

Setting my alarm to get up for the 7AM DL phone call! (this is not easy for me, the night owl)

Today, the Lakers did not give me a Christmas present - what a horrid game.

Linda, I think for prime rib to be chewy, you can only look at the quality of the meat. There's little variation in how to cook it, and prime rib should always be tender. So I don't think it's your fault.

That's one of my fav Christmas meals. This year I did a fresh Butterball turkey, cooked in a bag and it was really tender and moist. I did it unstuffed too so it ended up being fairly easy. I managed to get through two days of cooking with my MIL and not have any "moments." I think we're getting to know each other's idiocyncracies in the kitchen.;)

Deb, sounds like a great Christmas!

My mom was so impressed with all my cards and I had to fess up that no, I have not suddenly become Miss Popularity after all these years but joined a card exchange group.:)

Hmmmppffff. Hate to tell you this--but you're popular!

Yep--I know what you mean about beings selfish little piggies. It would not occur to me to go to the zoo--too much work! Sounds like your day was great.

Hi Girls!
We had a great Christmas, and our tree is down, too!

Well, I didn't put anything up so there's nothing to take down (uh, errrr, other than the stuff in the living room I never took down LAST year . . . . .)

Ok--some of you may wonder why I'm up posting at 2 a.m.

Good news: Christmas dinner tasted great.

Bad news: I'm having to wash sheets and blankets. Apparently you can get the chills with food poisoning too because I'm freezing.

Good news: Maybe I'll lose a few pounds . . . . .

Happy New Year Divas!

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas Divas! It is the morning after and I have been out of bed for an hour because I am nervous I will fall back asleep and miss reservation time! 2 months and we will all be together again!

Has anyone heard from KatieandMatt'smom? She is the only one that has not responded to my PM about HOB. Everyone else has responded that they are still wanting to go...as long as they are not the only one!:rotfl: We have at least 7 folks...I will pm you soon!

We had a great christmas...dh said it was his favorite in quite a number of years. We all got spoiled rotten! I got 2 new sets of pjs (pajama party here I come!), some new undies (when you lose 65 lbs you don't always realize the ramifications to your wardrobe!:lmao:), a digital picture frame (now I can have all your lovely faces flashing at me throughout the day!), a 90 minute massage certificate at my favorite place, jewelry, money, nail polish (that my son picked out - it's called "I'm not really a waitress" or something like that!), etc! My kids got way more spoiled than I did but the best part of the day was when my 18 month old daughter had her pink penguin sleeper on with pink sparkly tennis shoes and a red tutu and then proceeded to do a belly plant on this huge balloon! Her hands were on the ground but her feet were in the air so there she was with her butt sticking up and feet flying rollling on this huge balloon, her tutu sticking up! It was soooooo funny! I think we got a picture somewhere!

We made a great breakfast and I made 2 versions, regular and light (with egg beaters). You really couldn't tell the difference as far as flavor is concerned, and my mil made cinamon rolls (yum!) and we had strawberries.

Dinner was down at my husbands grandfathers house and it was quite delish! I made the green bean casserole and brought a ww pumpkin pie which was really tasty! Overall a great day!

the kids fell asleep on the way home and ds stayed asleep. I was in bed by 830 and asleep by 9...I kept dreaming about being at the Golden Horseshoe and waiting for the holiday show to start while keeping an eye out for the divas!

Have a great day after. I need to go make ressies then get ready for some shopping...need to buy my black sweatshirt, transfer paper, ribbon, small stuff for next years advent calendar, and christmas letter paper for next year! Oh, and a new crock pot....we are going to use some of the money we got to get an 8 qt one!

Happy holidays!

Sarah

I'm guessing right now that all the other Divas called PS # just before me as the recording is telling me that they are experiencing an abundance of calls right now (something like that).

I'll post back with the time I'm able to get for CC.
