Welcome Cathy and Vanesa.

Here's a little bit about me. I'm Stephanie (or Steph, I don't mind either). I'll be 31 in a couple of weeks. I've been married 12 years. We have 3 kids dd (8), dd (5), and ds (4). My husband, Josh, is a stay at home dad. I'm active duty in the USAF. I've been in the service for over 13 years. I've been on both of the Diva trips to DL and am really looking forward to this upcoming one. Our group of ladies is absolutely amazing! Walt (DL in specific) brought us together we chose to let everyone in our lives. We share the good, the bad and the ugly with each other. I never know how to say what this group means to me but the bottom line is that I look forward to reading our thread everyday (probably more than once a day ) to see how everyone is doing.

Cheryl - I love Steel Magnolias and I complete agree with what you wrote.

Tracey - I'm so glad you're going to come for the Meet 'n Greet.

Kate - You are a strong woman and I know you and your family will get through these hardships.

Janelle - I was never offended by your postings about Chris's job loss. Sounds like a 'troll' to me.

Kelly & Mel - congrats on the Zhu Zhu pets. My girls wanted them but after we explained that they would probably end up as chew toys for our big puppy they changed their minds.

Amy - you will be missed. I love your sense of humor.

Beth - If I can talk Josh into it I'd like to go on the Vegas trip in June. Let me know what the dates are (even if they are tentative). I need to put my requests in as soon as possible. I'm getting a new boss after the new year. My boss was promoted so she starts her job after the new year. The good news is my new boss is my current boss's husband. In the end I need to have my possible vacations on the calendar so they'll already be approved when the new boss starts.

Ok so maybe I should have multi-quoted as I can't seem to remember the specifics right now. I was sent home sick today and told not to come back until Monday. I have a horrendous sinus/head cold. The pressure at one point was so bad that my upper right teeth were feeling pain from my sinus's (sp). Josh has quarentined me to our room since he doesn't want to get this and he especially doesn't want the kids to either.

Well, I'm sitting here sipping my boxed white zin and watching my dh slave over dinner in the kitchen. He's so cute when he cooks, and is almost sexy if he does the dishes. Hope y'all have a great Thurs night. No dishing on Survivor until I get to watch it tomorrow. This means YOU Kelly!

My goal is to be a teacher at the elementary level, although technically the elementary level includes the middle school years as well. I'm not sure what grade I would prefer teaching, but honestly, I'm not going to be picky. I'll be beyond grateful just to get my first job and my foot in the door towards tenure. But aren't kids just the best?!!! They really are a lot of fun.

And......BRRRRRRR.......it's only 16 degrees outside right now (8:00am).

Wow 16 degrees. Thats crazy. Where are you located? Kids at that age are fun. You get to help them read and do arts and crafts and teach them math and do crazy science projects with them.

Ok so I am back from my shopping and Shelby wanted me to get her friend a webkin but of COURSE the walmart that is closest to my house didn't have them so I had to get a little pet shop animal. They do online stuff too. Hopefully that will work I got the gift receipt just in case

Anyway I DID remember to try and get Katy's twilight stuff and wouldn't you know they didn't have THAT either. I should have just bit the bullet and drove to target! They have webkins AND the twilight birthday stuff. That's what I get for not wanting to drive. I also went to the post office and Callie no visitor! I will let you know as soon as it arrives though!!

I didn't have ANY mail which was surprising since I didn't even GO yesterday. Heck I usually at LEAST have a bill or 2 LOL! But I'll take it! Anyway I am back and just chilling till I have to pick up the girls. I watched the first bridget jones which was too funny! Great chick flick and I am sure most of us can relate!! Prob will watch the 2nd one today! See ya!

I love Littelest Pet Shop. I think there so cute. And I hate to admit it but I became addicted to Disney Fairies online world Pixie Hollow and actually paid the $6 to get to do member things for the month.

It's another gorgeous, clear, COLD day here in the PNW! Loving the sunshine and soaking it up as much as possible.

I just got done reading about all you ladies and your girls only trip and I have to say im so jealous! what could be funner than doing DL with a bunch of girls who share the same passion as you?!?! I wish I could go this year but we already have a trip scheduled and my husband would throw a fit if I went twice in one month lol
Is it too early to sign up for the next trip? there probably isnt one planned yet,BUT when you all plan one, I would love to go!

Hi Cathy Im new here too!!

So my entire office is on lockdown. ( Link above )My company takes up an entire block and we're unable to leave the building. Helicopters are circling telling people to remain indoors and lock their doors and windows. I live less than a minute from work. Chris is going to leave to get Ayden from school soon and go hang out at my moms for awhile until this area is clear. I hope it's over by the time I get off work. I have Ayden's conference today.

For the newbies, here's my intro:

I'm Jane and I am 34. I am married to a truly incredible guy named Dave and we have one son--Ty who is 27 months old. I work full-time++ on a college campus doing student activities work, so I have to work a couple evenings a week in addition to all of my daytime office hours. The combination of being the mom of a toddler and my paying job keep me quite busy, but I try to post as often as I can. Oh, and along with Beth and Amy (bigskyernurse) I am one of the trio known as the Vegas girls. We are lucky enough to all live within 30 minutes of each other so we get together about once every month to two months for lunch and shopping or maybe a show. Last year was my first girls trip, but due to the extra times that people have gotten together for mini-meets and Vegas trips, it feels like I have known some of these women FOREVER!

Oh, and count me as another Steel Magnolia fan. It is my ultimate aspiration to be Ouiser when I grow up! "I'm not crazy. I've just been in a very bad mood for 40 years"

Drive by hi to my favorite Divas...this week has been just crazy and it's almost over and I need more TIME!!!

Anyway I skimmed what I could and wanted to say hello and welcome to Vanessa and Cathy!!

Hugs to those who need them - hoping 2010 is a better year for everyone. I sometimes feel guilty when I read or hear about bad things happening to our Divas because 2009 has been a wonderful year for me and I have to say joining this group and meeting most of you has been icing on the cake!

I have to share really quickly because I'm exhausted, just got back from an overnight trip to Palm Springs for work but when we were at DL this past weekend for my BD I needed a new pair of sunglasses and I buy cheap ones so I saw the sunglass kisok in DTD. I could buy one pair for $15 or two for $20..a deal I couldn't pass up, right? Well I picked out some cute but rather conservative ones for my first pair and was looking for the second pair and a pair of red cat eye shaped glasses just jumped out at me and I put them on and thought NO WAY these are really not me but then Dawn popped into my head and her saying about 'Wearing red lipstick or go home' (something like that) hit me so guess who has red cat eye shaped sunglasses and I wore them all day! I know Dawn was the influencer for that purchase.

I'll try to catch up sometime...
