Hi Divas! I just could not wait any longer (sorry Courtney) so I tried the Maple Bacon sucker and really it tastes like maple and not any bacon flavor but I can't bite it so I'm only licking it, maybe there will be a 'hint' of bacon in the layers...but all in all it is good despite the name.

I'll let you know how many licks it takes to get to the middle. Thinking of Dawn with every lick.

Mmmm, I like tapioca and rice pudding. Delish!

And I don't like carpet either. My old house in Phoenix didn't have a stitch of carpet in it. In this house, the upstairs is berber carpet, and I HATE it.

My opinion is that Washington is too cold not to have carpets or you have to have very warm fuzzy slippers on at all times! I love the look of hard wood but not sure I could do it. It is too much fun to lay out on the carpet and play with the kiddos!

All this talk about food has me soooo ready for Thursday. We're doing a ham with my parents. Anyone have a good recipe for a good ham glaze. I'd prefer something more brown sugar tasting over honey. I've been looking online and they just all look the same.

Tay and I spent a few days at DLR and stayed at the DLH. It was nice to "get away" and chill for a while.

My back is hurting again, and I am walking like an old lady. So hot I know.

Hey Cristabel...we are exact opposites. I don't care for cake...I like to decorate cakes but I don't really like eating them. Now pie, cookies or bars are another thing entirely and I loooooooovvvvveeeee to bake! It gets me in trouble because then I eat it all and any and all weight loss efforts come to a screeching halt!

So we're going to my mom's house for Thanksgiving this year. It is the first time in several years that we are staying local with my family, rather than going to the in-laws. I'm very excited! Usually I have to make the majority of the meal, even though it is at somebody else's house. But this year, I'm making Green Salad, Cranberry Sauce, Pumpkin Pie and CranApple Crumble Pie. I can't wait to spend the day with my momma and just relax!

I don't love cake, either. I think I'm just picky about it. But I do love pies and brownies. Mmmmmmmm pumpkin bars or lemon bars.............

For Thanksgiving my dh and kids are going to my mil's while I work and when I get off work I am heading to my moms with a pecan pie I am making tomorrow and green bean casserole...yum! Since it will just be the two of us we are just making our favorites...turkey breast, rolls, green bean casserole and pie. I just started making pies this year and I love it! The only other pecan pie I made was at my mom's house in her oven and it didn't turn out well. I am looking forward to trying it with my crust and in my own oven. I think it will make a huge difference. I made about 3 apple pies so far since I started doing pie (1 apple pie recipe from the best of the bakeoff was superb! It had walnuts and lemon and all kinds of goodness...Dh says it's his favorite pie I have ever made) and I made the one pecan that didn't turn out all that well plus the creamcheese brownie pie (also from best of the bakeoff). What kind of pie shall I try next? Any suggestions? I have been thinking about doing a pumpkin one that I found on weightwatchers website and possibly a peanut butter one I found in a ww cookbook. I am picky though because I only seem to like my crust but I should probably at least try some different ones so I can be sure mine really is the best!

Heather, my Mom uses that same glaze for the ham except she uses pineapple juice instead of Worcestershire Sauce and it's gooooood!

Cristbel, lemon meringue is my favorite! I'll buy you one and we can share so you can try it!

All this food talk is making me hungry too. I can't wait for the stuffing! That is my FAVORITE dish at Thanksgiving. I can just fill my plate with it. Yummmm!!!
