Oh, and I know many of you are aware, but I'm a recent transplant from MN, since we're all trading MN stories! I went to college in Mankato, law school at Hamline in St. Paul, and lived for 12 years in Eagan (which is a southern suburb of St. Paul.)
I LOVED MOA. I used to really like the food, but I haven't been as impressed the last few years. We loved loved loved Odyssey. The had great kids' meals, too. Before Macy's bought out Daytons, the Macy's at MOA was the only one in the state! My kids have always loved the Lego store. And, Club Libby Lu. They had a lot of really neat stores. Plus, we have an emotional connection, as one of our very best friends is high up in the security offices there. It was a nice place to go and walk during the big freeze!

Can I say that I'm thoroughly disgusted with other visitors at DLR today? First of all, people bumped into us all day with no apology. Then, we had the four people wide by four people deep groups that felt they owned the walkway and weren't going to move. Then, all day long (and this is a trend that I'm pretty upset with) I heard alot of swearing. Not just the da** word or the sh^^ words, but the f bomb all over the place. And the worst, it's not just teenagers. When Zoe and I were in line at BTMR, there was a dad, mom, and their teenaged daughter and the DAD was using the FBomb in describing someone his DD knew in a conversation with HER. OMG. I can't believe it! Even if people are comfortable using that language, where is the common courtesy of understanding that there are a ton of kids around and that kind of language should be avoided?

Then, the PDA's have gotten really bad. Teens and college aged and even older couples. Now, I don't mind a quick kiss, or being held or a snuggle, but I'm seeing LOTS more. Then, after being shoved left and right while waiting for the tram, there was a family who moved to the back row of the car in front of our section, having two family members basically blocking the people ahead from getting in while they filled the entire row. And, the car ahead of us was the one where all the strollers and families with really young children were waiting, and you could tell it was a much longer wait. I was furious, but the tram workers stood there and watched it all.

I have a huge test tomorrow, if I do well on it I'll receive a promotion. I won't find out the results until June though.

Steph
Good luck on your test!!! :thumbsup2

wooohoo Hubby and I made the archive for the Smooch Project!

Michelle, I would have been furious too. :furious: Some people just don't care how others feel, and don't have one little itty bit of courtesy in them. Sad isn't it? Even more sad it that it is being passed down to those children. :sad2:

Morning all. Once again you guys were majorly chatty LOL. Took me an hour just to catch up ;) But anhwho yesterday mom and I got together and took the girls shopping yesterday which was a lot of fun. Haven't done that in a snakes age. Katy has had a major growing spurt and all the shoes she had from this last year were a size 21/2 or 3 and I had to buy her a new pair of tennis shoes because she ruined her's in Florida in the rain and when she went to try them on she needed a size 4! Well I had her try on most of the shoes in her closet and they were all pretty tight so I passed those down to shelby and so we had to do some major shoe shopping because she was down to like 2 pair of shoes. So we went to our fav store payless and I bought her a new pair of maryjanes and a new pair of white sandals for spring/summer for wearing to church etc so that should get her by for a bit. And then shelby had a bit of a height spurt as well and a lot of her dresses were way too short so she needed some new dresses.

We stopped in at Macy's because if you hit them just right they have BEAUTIFUL dresses that are normally 50 or 60 bucks that you can get for 10 or sometimes even less but they weren't down to that quite yet. So mom bought her one and I bought her one that was at 30% off but they weren't quite down to the prices I wanted to pay so I will have to keep watching for them to go down more. Perhaps in another month or so.

But they had some clearance racks of the name brand stuff like Guess and Roxy and Polo which is stuff I NEVER buy. I am a target Penneys and Sears person myself but when you can get 50 or 80 items for 8 bucks why not eh?

So I got Katy this really cute sweater dress with leggings and a cute skirt with leggings as well. Both Guess for like 8 bucks each. So that was a score!

So that should do them for a bit. And while we were in the mall we stopped at Claires and checked out their Tiara selection. Found some cute ones but alot of them were kiddie sized. We did find some larger ones but a lot of them were broken or missing their rhinestones or whatever but we did finally find a few and then mom said we MUST get some boas. So we are going to have a little EXTRA fun! ;)

I mean what's a diva without a boa! ;)

But anyway so now I have THAT done I just STILL need my tote bag. That is my mission for NEXT week. This week is just too swamped.

Oh and Lynn mentioned that she has ALREADY read all the twilight books so I kind of looked at Shane and was like GREAT! So now I don't know WHAT to do. Those 4 books set me back almost 70.00! And her birthday is THIS Saturday. UGH. He thinks we should still give them to her since she borrowed them from someone else but I don't know. Dilema! I was really wanting her to have them cuz I was hoping to borrow them LOL but I really don't want to keep them for myself cuz I can't afford to go out and get her ANOTHER 70 dollar gift right now either. UGH. I don't know what to do. BLEH.

Anyway then yesterday we went to mom's and watched the game and it was SO dissapointing when the cards lost. I wanted them to win SO bad cuz they have never been before etc. Oh well. It was a fun day though. Katy helped grandma make a cake and we had a nice dinner and it was just us and mom and dad so it was a nice relaxing day.

Sounds like those that went to DLR had fun (other than Zoemake5) but otherwise it sounds like everyone had a pretty good weekend.

Hope everyone has a good week!

See you guys this afternoon!

Kelly, I would still give them to her. I know I like to read books over and over, so does Noelle. And as the movies come out she can go back an reread the book.

Bernice, that is such a cute pic!!!

Michelle, sorry for the rude guests at Disney. I hate that! :sad2:

Morning ladies!! I am getting ready to walk the twins to school and just thought I'd pop in for a sec. Check back later. :)

Good morning!

Kelly, I would still give her the books. When I was a teen I would always reread books.

I still like to reread stories, especially Twilight. ::yes::

I hope you have a wonderful Monday. I am at work and the kids are wild today!:scared:

And everyone was giving me grief because I haven't seen Toy Story or Nemo movies?

Stacerita: did you get your kettle corn? I did!!!!

No, I didn't get any kettle corn. After we left DTD, we stopped at Costco and picked up a pizza for dinner. I was exhausted and knew I didn't want to leave the house again once I got home.

I have a huge test tomorrow, if I do well on it I'll receive a promotion. I won't find out the results until June though.

Good luck! I'm sure you will do great!

I may have seen Michelle as we were leaving, but in a crowd, and I had to go so didn't stop! How rude, I know, but with my debacle thinking someone last week was Stacie, I didn't really want to go there today.

You want to share that story with us? Or did you already and I missed that post?

So after DD and I picked up a pizza and headed home I posted about our day, then was working on homework. But OMG, the sleep fairy must have smacked me upside the head because I could barely keep my eyes open. I ate a slice of pizza, turned off the computer then laid on my bed. DD came in with our dogs and wanted to watch TV with me. She put on the Narnia movie, and that was it. I went to bed at 5pm!!!! She must have covered me when the movie was over and sometime aroud 1 I got up and put on my jammies, then went back to sleep. I can't beleive I slept for over 12 hours. And if I didn't have to take her to school this morning, I am sure I would still be in bed. What the heck is up with that? I haven't slept that much since I had mono. Now I still have to catch up with my homework and I promised my nana I would take her to run errands to day.

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Thanks Beth and January and the best part is then I can borrow them! ;)

I am still reading the copy of Twilight that I bought for our Disneyworld trip. I am not as fast a reader as you all. You must realize I haven't read a book in probably 15 years. When I used to work full time I used to go sit in my car on my lunch hours and read TONS of novels. I always had to go to lunch by myself and I HATED eating by myself so I would either eat my lunch in my car or eat it at the restaurant really quick and then drive back and read in the car LOL.

But I used to read a LOT. But once I had kids etc I just never had the time. But now that Shane is working nights I FINALLY have made some time. Although there is a LOT of good tv right now and there is about to be a LOT more LOL. Survivor and Amazing race starts next week and Dancing with the Stars I heard starts in March so I am going to be tivoing like crazy LOL.

But I HAVE forced myself to read it because I REALLY like this story and you guys got me curious. I wanted to see how it compared to the movie and it is starting to really get different than the movie now. At first it seemed dead on but now it is getting different.

Anyway thanks for the reassurance and thanks for agreeing with Shane. I just didn't want her to open it and go. OH THAAAANKS! With this blah look! LOL. But I think you are right. I know she has re-read her Harry Potter books several times and after all she DID borrow the books as it is so perhaps she will be glad to have her own copies. :)

Oh, I had a great time other than hurting my back and those rude people. I LOVE Dawn and Bob, want to adopt them into my family.....I'm thinking maybe young aunt and uncle?! :cool1:

Me too. They are the sweetest. Can't wait to meet Dawn's mom in March too.

Oh and MommywithDreams you live VERY close to me. I know it seems crazy cuz of all the other stuff I post on here but I don't like to post the exact place where I live but let's just say it is close to you. I hope we get to meet at the "meet" cuz I am always interested in meeting people near where I live to possibly hang out with. Hope we get to meet on the trip! :) Oh and I am Kelly by the way. :)

Sounds like a plan to me Kelly! I look forward to seeing you in a few weeks. :)

Me three! I didn't see them very long but could tell they were very nice people (and Dawn is a great addition to our group! I just can't believe she's a Grandma!)

Hi ladies!! I have some new seating arrangements for you for the Carnation Cafe dinner. Since Tracey was able to use her VIP tour connections to score another seating time for 10 people, we were able to condense the lists and we can now get rid of the two later seating times. (Mary Jo and Steph, thank you so much for making those, but you can cancel them now since we have the new larger PS)
This way we will all be fairly close timewise to eating together. I hope this new arrangement works for everyone. :) (Remember to make note of when you are eating and which table so you can check in a few minutes early)

I can hardly believe that either. She is truly one of those you can say is young at heart. Both of them were.

Does anyone know the show times/days for Billy Hill? I'm sure at least a couple of people here must know it by heart ::yes::

Does anyone know the show times/days for Billy Hill? I'm sure at least a couple of people here must know it by heart ::yes::

Looking at the schedule for the last week of Feb. it looks like the Billies perform at 11:15, 1:00, 2:35, 4:00 and 5:15 most days. I looked at the week after our trip and there are no Billies shows listed for anytime after Feb. 28th, so I am hoping that they just haven't put them on the calendar for March yet.
