Yes he does!
He teaches 7th and 8th grade science at a K-8 performing arts magnet school in Minneapolis.
We are thankful he has a job, landing a teaching job in MN is difficult due to the amount of competition from more experienced teachers. This is his second year teaching, we lived in California last year..moved back to MN because we missed our family.
Being an "older" (35) inexperienced teacher is a little bit tougher in the job market. But it CAN happen, takes a little more effort to shine and convince administration that you are an excellent choice!

I'm impressed with those who choose middle school teaching, I know I couldn't handle it.

Nursing. I am applying in April. I got in last year, but I was a little freaked out. I was on the wait list then got in. But i have issues with quitting my job.
but I just applied to WSU's psychology department.

A friend of mine recently started working as a psychologist at the VA hospital here. She loves it! It was a lot of schooling...but so worth it.

Nursing is such an awesome profession. I wouldn't last a day working as a nurse. Good for you! Keep at it!! You will be done before you know it.

And THANK YOU Daisy 77 ..... I feel bad that I never finished that TR from last year. We got home and ended up moving to a new house and things just got chaotic.

Yea my first pick was HOJO's but it was booked solid. Dangermouse mentioned that maybe some rooms would open up, but we just decided to go ahead and book Park Vue this time around. It will be nice to be right across the street from the crosswalk. I will definitely keep an eye out for your shirts, which are SOOO adorable this year. I'll take a peek at the schedule and see if anything works out for us.

I don't know if you'd be interested in the king suite, but I have it booked the 1st through the 8th I believe. Anyway, I know it would cover your trip. I am going to cancel it soon. We were going to go in Dec, and then in March, and then decided that only I would go. I forgot completely about this ressie until I was packing and found the paper I wrote it on today!



OH, and the talk about the LGMH's has me wondering if anyone has an extra that I could have. I never go to Home Depot, but would love to have one. Thanks!

Oh, and Callie and Stacie, were we gong to get a cot in our room, or were we just going to use the beds we have? I really don't care either way except, it would suck for the person on the cot to see the two sleeping in luxury on the new beds.

That is so extremely sweet of you .....I think we're going to give the Park Vue a try though. I'm kinda excited to be so much closer this time. HOJO's was so far my favorite though...we'll see how this one goes. Thanks again though for the heads up that it was going to be available again.

Yes...usually in the winter we stay away because of Donner's Pass. However, we will be there for about 3 hours on the 11th. We are picking up his mom to head down to San Diego for his brother's graduation from the Marine bootcamp.

I know! We would be gone sooner, but we are going to have to wait for her to get out of work. I do love the Arden Fair mall. The Disney Store there is much nice than the one is Boise and twice as big. I also like all the little kid boutique style stores.

I always find a air mattress to be way better then any cot a hotel has to offer. That is what we always use if we have an extra body in the room

I am a little jealous my DH had to go to a work instillation right next to the Mall. They ended up extending his trip a week so he was so happy to have the whole mall to get new clothes in. The weird part though was almost no one took Amex, so he only could chose from a few shops hahaha!

I could have caused so much damage in the mall, Amex or not! So many shops!

Phase II looks to be a great expansion if they can get all the funding in place. Water park, ice rink, 3 hotels, skywalk to IKEA will be a great asset. (It's across the street..brrrrr)

Keep in mind, enclosed malls got there start in MN. We have many malls in the metro area.

Yep! I live in the Twin Cities, north metro.
About 20-30 minute drive.
