Did anyone catch Saturday Night Live? During the Weekend Update they started talking about the woman, and then a VERY convincing Angelina Jolie impersonator showed up, asking if the woman wanted all of her 8 babies...it was hilarious. Kept asking if anyone had any babies b/c she wanted more than her current 6.

Since I'm not an AJ fan and thinks she's an imbalanced person who is balanced *right now* but won't be for much longer, and can't even guess how, other than sheer money, she's convinced 3 adoption agencies to let her adopt, I loved loved LOVED the skit within a skit.

Kelly, I don't know what you're trying to get prescribed, but hubby was able to get Paxil prescribed by his family doctor. That's not recommended, and his doc wasn't happy with it (and urged counseling heavily, which at that time Robert ignored, and then he had such horrid reactions to the paxil he became even MORE depressed, suicidal actually, so that whole thing didn't work out but...) but that's who prescribed the drugs for him. You just sound so desperate.

Have you tried, as a stop-gap measure for something to help you, Rescue Remedy? It's a brilliant, homeopathic-like, remedy made from flower essences, and I swear it's a miracle. If I'd had that growing up my whole universe would have been different, as I have tremendous social anxiety (no one shake my hand when you meet me at the meet!) and used to end each and every day of school with a red and blotchy chest and face just from having to interact with people I'd known all of my school life....

It's worth a shot. Works on us, works on DS, even worked on our cat for 4th of July. Calms you right down.

Well as I am sure you guys have figured out I have a LOT of stress in my life with my stepdaughter and financial issues with dh's job and something I did not really realize but now I do after I had my "breakdown" a few weeks ago is that I suffer from depression and severe anxiety as well as OCD. I was diagnosed with these things by a psychiatrist but since he was not my regular one OR in my area (I was out of town from where I lived) he said that he couldn't really prescribe anything because he wasn't able to keep track of my case file. He gave me all my chart notes and said when I got a permanent psychiatrist that he would then prescribe me something for the depression, anxiety and of course to control the OCD. My problem is all this stress was getting to me and then I was worrying myself sick and then since I am already OCD I would obsess over it till I was making myself even MORE ill. It is a viscious cycle. I get so nervous and worry so much I just start having like panic attacks. So that is what the meds are supposed to do is calm me down and keep me from stressing out so much and worrying so much.

I was actually suggested to take Zoloft or remecor but I have YET to get anything because I have to be prescribed them by a psych which I YET to get. With ins it can take up to 3 months to get in. It is a long drawn out process. I was able to get in to see a therapist no problem but the MD is a lot harder. And as far as having my pcm prescribe I was told by several therapists that they don't recommend a medical doctor overseeing your psychiatric care. They much prefer a pscyh doc doing that.

Plus I don't know if you remember me talking about it but I can't STAND my pcm and I am in the midst of changing. When I had my issues last month my pcm wouldn't even help me and that was the FINAL straw and I have requested a new doc and I just have to wait till March 1 to change.

But anyway I can manage it just sucks that I have had to wait so long because of the stupid system. We have a LOT of stress in our household because of everything going on with dsd and all so it would be nice to be able to get some help with that but I will wait. I've waited this long.

Yeah that woman is a big talk of the town round here. She makes me ill I tell you. It is ALL over the news stations. I think it is disgusting what she did and what I want to know is if she is unmarried and has NO job HOW on earth did she pay for IVF? I mean does it not cost like 10,000 each try or something?

I don't get it! And why on EARTH did her parents stand by and LET this woman do this more than once! I mean I could see maybe ONE time them letting her have a child if she was living with them but after the SECOND time I'd have been saying UH NO!! You don't bring ANY more kids into this house until you start paying!

And you guys are right. I feel sad for the children in this scenario. They will NEVER know their bio dad and who KNOWS where they will end up cuz after all THIS attention I have a feeling social services might just step in cuz no WAY that is healthy for 14 kids to be living in a 3 bedroom home!

I heard one day on a news show that ALL the kids are from the same bio dad--and that he just left to go back to Iraq (as a contractor, not a soldier) to make money--because they were going to need it. Don't know if that is true or not--I only heard it in passing that one time.

It is pretty shocking. I had heard that it was her dad who was going to Iraq, not the children's dad. She is apparently a single mom. The "donor" is supposedly the same for all the kids (all 14 of them) and is apparently married (I believe a police officer or something). It's quite bizarre and the more details that come out, the more bizarre it gets! She is apparently "obsessed" with having children (no kidding!).

I wish!!! I've been going over my packing list tonight and I didn't think it was possible, but mine is longer then January's!!!

Amy and Jane are going to tie me to the roof because there won't be any room left in the car, and January and Capri are going to kick me out on the balcony.

I don't think any diaper company or car company is going to help her now. Her story is too controversial now.
And speaking of paying, the hospital bill for those babies is projected to reach over 3 million dollars!!!!
