Girls Only Disneyland Trip - Old Thread

I did!! But I don't like it. Can I return it and pick another one instead.....


First off, let me say thank you guys so much for wondering where I was! And the PMs and phone call. Wow. You made me get all teary!

Sorry I disappeared yesterday. I got the dreaded phone call from the school nurse. Adam hurt his finger in P.E. and then the fun began.
I won't go into all the details but hours and hours, and one Quick Care visit (where's the Quick part??), one X-ray, two prescriptions, and lots of running around later..........he broke his finger.
On his right hand too, of course. Poor guy! So that took most of the day.

Then joy of joys, we got a notice from the twins school about lice!! I checked the girls and didn't see anything. I've been through it 6 years ago in CA. with Noelle so thankfully I knew what to look for.
But to be safe, I treated them anyway, boiled all the brushes, threw out all the hair accessories, bagged up all the stuffed animals, washed all the bedding and clothes, sprayed the beds, couches and car, and basically was working till midnight just because I figured when it comes to that, better safe then sorry.

I took them to school this morning and even made the nurse look to make extra sure I wasn't missing anything and she said they were both fine. So fingers crossed, hopefully it will stay that way!

Needless to say it was an exhausting day yesterday. No time to get online at all.

Also today I had a dentist appointment follow-up. Bottom line I still need: 2 MORE tooth extractions, 3 cavities filled (one is deep and might turn into a root canal) and only once all that is done and healed can we even begin to think of starting work on my lower partial.
Moral of the story: GO to the dentist! Don't put it off!! That, and don't have multiples. They'll ruin your mouth.

Well now aren't y'all sorry you asked.

So I had a taste of what it's like to have a life and I don't like it!!!!
But thanks for asking about me.

Now............off to catch up!

Oh, one more thing.........is it freakin March yet?!?!?!

Are you kidding??? YES, you are definitely missing something. But it is an addiction, so if you are going to start (and you need to start with Season 1 to catch up), be prepared for a wild ride!

Umm...how many seasons are there?? I guess I will go rent season 1 and start getting caught up.

I had a cat do that once with a brand-new bedspread. Thought the smell was the bedspread (it had dried). Took it back and demanded a new one. Ok--all's good--till he did it again!!! (Oops!)

Yeah... huh. My Dr. just put me on extra calcium so my teeth dont fall out. Uh... HELLO. I deliver in like 3 weeks!! A freaking lot of good it does me NOW.

Thanks. I've never watched LOST either. But the people who do watch it swear it's totally addicting and really good. Maybe I should over the summer or something when it's 112 outside and there's nothing else to do. lol

They are currently showing Season 5 (episode 4 was last night). By the time you are done with seasons 1-4, they may have finished season 5 and released them on DVD! The best way to watch Lost is commercial free and back-to-back without having to wait months and months in between seasons.

I called on the Segway Tour today, can't make the reservations yet. I'll call again tomorrow, since it is 30 days from March 8, and see if I can. The CM was very helpful and said it includes a Continental Breakfast and we have to pick up our tickets by 7am (starts at 7:15) so we should probably met in the lobby around 6:30. (Stacie, did you get my PM?) (Linda & Mary Jo, are you daughters' last names the same as yours?)

Eh, part of being a parent. We've all been there. But thanks and I hope Adam's finger gets better soon too. We have to follow up with a Pediatric Ortho to see what they want to do with it.
He's not in pain though so that's good. Maybe I'll "borrow" those happy pills of his then.
