First off, let me say thank you guys so much for wondering where I was! And the PMs and phone call. Wow. You made me get all teary!
Sorry I disappeared yesterday. I got the dreaded phone call from the school nurse. Adam hurt his finger in P.E. and then the fun began.
I won't go into all the details but hours and hours, and one Quick Care visit (where's the Quick part??), one X-ray, two prescriptions, and lots of running around later..........he broke his finger.
On his right hand too, of course. Poor guy! So that took most of the day.
Then joy of joys, we got a notice from the twins school about lice!!I checked the girls and didn't see anything. I've been through it 6 years ago in CA. with Noelle so thankfully I knew what to look for.
But to be safe, I treated them anyway, boiled all the brushes, threw out all the hair accessories, bagged up all the stuffed animals, washed all the bedding and clothes, sprayed the beds, couches and car, and basically was working till midnight just because I figured when it comes to that, better safe then sorry.
I took them to school this morning and even made the nurse look to make extra sure I wasn't missing anything and she said they were both fine. So fingers crossed, hopefully it will stay that way!
Needless to say it was an exhausting day yesterday. No time to get online at all.
Also today I had a dentist appointment follow-up. Bottom line I still need: 2 MORE tooth extractions, 3 cavities filled (one is deep and might turn into a root canal) and only once all that is done and healed can we even begin to think of starting work on my lower partial.
Moral of the story: GO to the dentist! Don't put it off!! That, and don't have multiples. They'll ruin your mouth.
Well now aren't y'all sorry you asked.
So I had a taste of what it's like to have a life and I don't like it!!!!

Too bad you all don't live closer I would totally lend them to you. It is a really great show and I love, love, love the twist and turns. The only complaint I have are the commercials and the fact that I have to wait so long in between seasons. It is a fabulous show!! I highly recommend this addiction!
I'm also sorry about the dentist woes, and you remind me that I need to go. I'm just so scared. I'm glad the lice are staying away.

I wish you were all here.. i spent most of the day making homemade spaghetti sauce..and then i baked it for 4 hours very slow..it's soooooooooo good. i also whipped real butter with crushed fresh garlic and really good olive oil with fresh grated parmesean cheese. That goes on the crusty bread and then is baked.
We could have wine and eat and talk and talk.
DH is out tonight..golfing then dinner at the club with his friends, they have prime rib tonight and then they play cards while smoking cigars and sipping crown royal. GrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrRR ManLy Men

Shane works night so I have to tivo it for him and when we got home this afternoon he watched it and I watched it again with him and I still can't get over last nights epi and I agree with those that I can't WAIT till the next week. I too own all 4 seasons on dvd and have gone back and watched them all again more than once. Can't say enough about it!

( I thought that was a good smile for smelling.) AW Kelly! Glad to see you are doing good!Evening all! First of all I want to thank everyone for the well wishes!! It really means a lot. I was up pretty late last night because I wanted to eat one last time before I went to bed and sorry for the lost spoiler. I tend to forget that once I watch it that not everyone has. I LOVE that show. It is one of my all time favs and I will be glad to get all the answers but SO bummed when it ends next year!! I will try to remember not to talk about it till after everyone has watched it next time!!
Anyway today was interesting. I knew I had to be up at 5 to shower and had the alarm set but I am sure it was nerves cuz I was about around 4 and kept looking at the clock and finally said to heck with it and just got up around 4:45. I came down and checked my e-mails and I guess I could have posted but really nothing to say at that point LOL. But anyway we left and got down there and no one was really there so to speak and at that hour you have to use this phone to call back to the surgery unit because the volunteers don't come on till after 8. But I didn't have to sit in the waiting room too long before they called me back. It was funny too because Shane brought his dvd player but he was able to sit with me most of the time so he never did get to use it. Anyway I went back and they make you do this little prep thing where you have to wipe your whole body with this wet wipe thing from head to toe front and back so I am glad now that I had Shane with me and not my mom! LOL That was to say the least awkward. But anyway then I just basically sat there for AWHILE! My surgery was supposed to be at 9 and I didn't even get my IV till after 8 and then the anesthesiolgist didn't even come till right at 9 so I knew it wasn't happening at 9. Then he asked me if I wanted to do a spinal or general and I was like I will go to sleep thanks! LOL but anyway they FINALLY took me back at almost 10 and I was in the OR joking around and I vaguely remember them talking to me about feeling sleepy and that was it. I know I was a little nervous about having to be intubated since I have never had that before but obviously all was well. Then I was in recovery longer than I think the whole procedure lasted and after I woke up they let Shane come and sit with me again after about 20 minutes. I was a little worried about nausea as I got sick after both my c-sections from the spinals but whatever they gave me worked great because other than being really woozy and dizzy I never felt sick so that was great! And it was nice because Shane was with me right up till they took me in and then not long after I woke up. I left the hospital about 12:30 and then I felt good enough to eat so he took me to get some food and then I came home and slept.
Th doc DID see the lessions in my bladder like he suspected so now I don't know where we go from here but my post-op is next Friday so we shall see. But I don't know if it means more surgery or if they can fix it with medicine but I am glad it is over and now that I know it wasn't so bad I feel better about the whole thing if in fact I DO have to have more down the road.
Anyway that was MY adventure and I am feeling pretty good with minimal pain and just really tired from the anesthesia but they said I should be better by tomorrow.
The girls are at Girl Scouts (mom took them) and Shane is at work so I am just going to hit the sack early tonight.
Beth I am SO sorry to hear of all you troubles!! What a nightmare. Sounds like a day I would have LOL. ((hugs)) and I hope things get better for you!
