Girls Only Disneyland Trip - Old Thread

Good Mornin ladies!

Geesh...........we were on page 2!!

I'm on my way to my oldest DD's classroom. The one I'm helping her make pioneer bonnets for. Her school, really gets into the pioneers, and at the end of this month they will have "Pioneer Day." All the third graders make a log cabin, have square dance demos, make homemade butter, and Ma's pancakes from "Little House on the Prairie." The children just love this day.

So dear ole mom, which would be me, gets into it too. On that day, I'm the one doing Ma's pancakes with her kids. They will help me measure out all the ingredients and so forth. A good lesson on measuring..........and guess what else? Cracking eggs! Yep........you don't think about it too much, but alot of children have never cracked an egg.

I'm giving thought to BB for dessert, but I will have just been there for lunch. Besides.............I'm hoping that they will still do some fireworks! One can hope you know!

Sorry I'm not multiquoting here...I'm sort of meandering through the posts tonight, not reading from start to finish.

I really want to try Screamin'. I've never been on it and I'm kind of scared. Definitely don't want to do it with a belly full of drinks. I got myself all psyched to do it the morning after I did the Segway tour last year, and it was closed. And I never did try again. Maybe I will venture and try it this time. I'm a wimp when it comes to roller coasters.

Jen, we will be there by your side to support your bravery. And if that doesn't work, then we will pick you up and strap you in

I will just be glad when this is done!!

Anyway I don't know how I am going to feel after this so may not be on for a day or so. Don't talk too much or I won't be able to catch up

Best wishes for you surgery. We will be thinking about you. I know this has been much anticipated and I hope that it all goes really well. Hope you have a speedy recovery and we'll see you in a few days.

Kelly: I saw the word LOST in your post so didn't even read it. I LOVE that show and don't want to hear anything about last nights episode. I can't wait to watch it with my DH. We were supposed to last night, but he fell asleep at 8pm.

You know, one of the advantages of having kids is you can pretend you're all big and brave cause...you know...it's just no big deal for you to go on the Pinnocchio ride. But the reality is I'm a big chicken. I wouldn't even go on the horse that went up and down on the Merry Go Round when I was little. And then during our one and only family trip to DL when I was a kid, I think around 10 or 12 or so (maybe someone can calculate for me - it was when Space Mountain just opened and I'm 39 now), we waiting inline 2 plus hours for Space Mountain and when we got to the front of the line, I said "Not going." And my dad say, "Nope, you ARE going." My first roller coaster ride. So I guess coersion does work to get me on scary rides. Last year I did Space with the ladies (thanks for the fast passes!) and I was scared. But it was fun.

I'll ride it with you......and then we can have a drink to celebrate your first Screamin' ride.

Oooh...now that sounds like a good plan...

Any Lost watchers on here? Wow I just watched it and WHOA! It was a GREAT episode! I can't believe that not only Jin is still alive but he went back in time and met up with Rosseau! WOW! Great one tonight for the fellow Lost lovers! I am up later than usual cuz I have my surgery in the a.m. and I am trying to force myself to stay up till 11 so I can eat something one last time so I have something in my stomach. I usually eat dinner at 5 and then nothing else till the next day but since I can't eat after midnight I though it might be a good idea to eat closer to the time that I have to STOP eating if that makes sense so it is less time that I have to go without eating so hopefully I won't be AS hungry in the morning. They also moved my surgery back. It will be hard too not even being able to have any water. I think I could do without the food but I drink a LOT of water.

Good Luck Kelly! I hope everything goes well, and that you are not in too much pain afterwards. Oh, and next time you decide to post a spoiler for Lost please warn us first!!! I have it on the DVR and DH and I are going to watch it tonight....I'll forgive you this time.

I rode ToT in WDW..but not DL. My youngest rode it in WDW and wouldn't even attempt to ride it in DL.

Are you kidding??? YES, you are definitely missing something. But it is an addiction, so if you are going to start (and you need to start with Season 1 to catch up), be prepared for a wild ride!

Has anybody heard from Beth? I hope she's alright.

I have never watched Lost. However I do have season 1 on DVD, and I'm going to start watching it as soon as I'm done with season 3 of Arrested Development. We've gotten into watching whole seasons of shows on DVD or on Demand, and it's so nice without commercials at at our leisure. We've done it for all of Scrubs and 30 Rock, and in addition to Arrested Development, we're watching Six Feet Under. So Lost is next, I promise!

By the way, 4 weeks until our trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I leave for St. Louis a week from today and then just 3 short weeks after that, we are DLR bound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In fact, by this time Beth, Amy and I should be halfway there
