Has anyone seen the Dates yet for the Dec Processional and the CM parties?

Trying to firm up our dates. Just saw this morning the flights are down to $59 WOO HOOO!!!

Hook's Pointe Pics:

I ordered a Hook's Pointe Salad (caesar salad) and the NY Strip Steak special with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus and button mushrooms. It was really good and so much better than the 5 pepper beef roast I get from Blue Bayou. My aunt ordered 2 appetizers as her meal but I didn't take pics because she was so hungry, she dove right into it once it arrived at our table.

Our waitor surprised me with a free b-day dessert. It came with fruit flavored syrup, chocolate syrup and Mickey shaped sprinkles. The Mickey shortbreak cookie was good and it came with a purple Mickey shaped candy. My aunt ate the purple Mickey candy and said it was too hard to chew.

Yesterday my bf and I went to the Disney Soda Fountain in Hollywood. I had their hot pastrami sandwich and he had the french dip. We shared a pin trader's sundae which had vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream, whipped cream, Mickey sprinkles, hot fudge, melted marshmallow and a cherry on top.

The Disney Soda Fountain carries some merchandise. I got a cute Up T-Shirt and a Tote Bag (the bag was on sale for $5). I also bought a set of buttons and stuck them on the bag. Here's some pics:

Wow Rochelle, sounds like you guys had a great day. We haven't been there in like five years! Love the tote and Up shirt.

We are just hanging around the house. Too hot to go outside and do anything. Breezy went to Huntington Beach with her friends at 7 am this morn to secure a good spot. We just talked to her and it is gorgeous there. It's 98 degrees here.

I am not sure of the Proc or CM party dates, but I know several of us are going the weekend of Dec 4-6. That is probably when the parties are. We are staying at the Grand Villas - I cannot wait!

Hope everyone is enjoying their day. We are relaxing and just hanging around the house. Its been so nice. We had lunch earlier....pizza rolls, green salad and watermelon. We will be BBQing hot dogs for dinner. Then once the sun goes down, it will be fire work time. Will probably watch some movies later tonight. Its ben nice not needing to be anywhere today.

Happy 4th everyone! Hope you all are having a wonderful day.

We went to a BBQ for my grandparent's church early today. It was nice to get out and get some sun and spend time with the family. Plus my Mom was happy to be moving around.

Now I'm just relaxing, eating sun flower seeds and watching Star Wars.

Rochelle, thanks for sharing the pictures! We were just there about 3 weekends ago. We went into Papa Beard's too. I wanted mochi, but they didn't have any. Their website says they do, but I guess not that location.

Great pics Rochelle. I loved the Disney Soda Fountain. We got that pin trader's sundae AND the Mickey's Masterpiece. It was huge!!! But fun. I have those same buttons too.


Hope everyone's 4th is going well so far. I am stuffed. Typical fare; hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans, watermelon, chips, lemonade and cookies. I can barely waddle now. lol

We're going to Red Rock to watch the fireworks, but I wish they didn't start so late. I'm ready for a nap!

Bridgette- Glad you made it to Cali safe and sound. Are you done moving all your things in??? Sounds like you're having a great time at Disneyland.

Yes, I'm all done moving my things in. Are they unpacked? Not even started! My brother and I moved my things off the truck, took it to the Penske place, went to buy a shower curtain, showered, then drove out onto the Santa Barbara warf for dinner and sunset. Then I took him to put his toes in the frigid Pacific and we went to bed. I took him to the airport at 5am yesterday, came home, showered and packed for DL then left. I have priorities, right?!

Isn't that when you have the perfect excuse to buy a new sweatshirt?? Glad to hear you are having a fun time!

Yes my thoughts exactly. I got the minnie sweatshirt I've been eyeing and I'm wearing it now! I also got a Minnie ears with the sorcerers hat headband and I'm wearing that too!



The man at the concierge lounge went downstairs to get a memory card reader for me to borrow, bless him. I forgot mine at my new home amidst the chaos and boxes. Now I can do my TR tonight. My feet will be the death of me I swear. I had to leave DL today to find a DSW to buy bigger shoes. After the steroids from the hives, my feet are swollen and my problem was that I wore shoes that were too small yesterday and 2 of my toes have blisters on them from my toes being smooshed together and along the balls of my feet under my does is a solid blister. That didn't stop me today though! You know you party hardy at Disneyland when you walk around so much that your moleskin falls off! I left the parks at about 7-7:30ish because the crowds got ridiculous. I made an executive decision to watch the fireworks from the concierge lounge tonight. Only about 30 more minutes!

Bridgette, I am so sorry about your blisters! Arghhh!
But, enjoy the concierge lounge for all it is worth. I would watch the fireworks from there if my feet hurt, for sure. Take it easy, don't aggrevate the feet too much, you will regret it. Check in with us tomorrow, and have a wonderful time at DLR!

HAPPY INDEPENDANCE DAY !

I hope everyone is enjoying their 4th of July. I had a my last training session with Tyrae today at 9am. I had breakfast around 10:30 and proceeded to get ready and leave at 11:40 for work at 12pm. Work was the easiest thing ever. We had to help these kids from Cal Arts with a project. It was a game where you had to find "ghosts" by waving this box in front of censors and for each censor a different MP3 file would play which would guide you to your next clue. It was pretty neat and we mostly sat and did some people-watching.

We watched our neighbor do some fireworks while we sat in the bed of our truck. After experiencing Disneyland fireworks there isn't really anything special about the ones you buy off the stands. So now I'm in the house just relaxing. I just went over my Sunday school lesson. We are still in the same module so the lesson repeats itself each week while adding specific details. This module is all about How God makes things grow and this week we are referencing that to a scripture where Matthew tells the crowd to look at the birds and flowers and how God provides for them so surely He will provide for us.

I have to get off the computer soon because my dad has to print out the church bulletins.

Morning all!

Hope everyone had a GREAT 4th yesterday. We had one of the most low key ones I've ever had. Got up yesterday and worked out and then we just hung out at home till about noon and then went to mom's. Shane and the girls swam in the pool and then mom, dad, Shane and I played a round of canasta. My dad's eyes are REALLY bothering him (he has that retina problem) so he is having a lot of problems seeing the cards and we were only able to play one game. Then we had bbq of steak, potato salad, corn on the cobb and salad. Then mom made a cake for desert and we just sat around after dinner and watched some tv and had our dessert. They don't do the BIG fireworks until almost 10 p.m. and we got into this silly show on animal planet about dogs and when they finally DID start the fireworks just Shane and the girls went out in the yard and watched them. I have seen them so many times and as Cristabel said once you have seen them at Disney the regular ones just don't compare.

I don't know after the people at our swim teams house burned down I was REALLy not into the 4th this year. ALL day long we were hearing bottle rockets and M80's (lots of illegal stuff) and no offense but I would just prefer that they only have the one's in the sky because with ALL the fires that we have had in this state and esp up here anyway it is SO dry. I REALLY don't wish to have my house burn. I came home one 4th to my neighbor across the street's house on fire because of fireworks and I have seen a fire at the rodeo from fireworks. We listened to fire trucks and sirens ALL day long yesterday. It just makes me SO nervous. I am glad it is over and hope we don't hear any more. I know I know I am a spoil sport LOL but it is really scary!

Anyway we were going to go to church today but everyone is exhausted from getting home so late last night so once AGAIN they don't want to go. I really wanted to cuz we have missed so many times and next weekend is that big meet and I don't think anyone is going to want to go after that and we WON'T be able to go the weekend after that and the weekend after THAT shane won't be home BUT they vetoed me soooo we are staying home yet again.

Anyway just planning on working out here in a sec and probably just vegging most of the day as have lots going on this next week. Lots of doc apts and swim practice all week and that grueling meet this weekend.

So we had a pretty good day yesterday. Woke up later than normal, DH pressurewashed 2 sides of the house and then took my ds outside to wash the cars while dd and I napped. We then went to his aunts house at the lake and dh, ds and I went canoeing which was great! My ds's first time! Next we went to a block party at dh's sisters house and I got to meet his other sister for the first time! (We've been married almost 8 years!) I got a picture of the 3 siblings together which turned out great. After that we went to my mom's house for dinner and strawberry shortcake! Yum! I also made a pecan pie for a guy at work that got promoted...it was a premade crust and just didn't turn out as I would have liked. Oh well. After that we walked down to the beach...we live a couple blocks from the bay. My mom's friend's mom has a place there so we got premium viewing without the hordes of people....all around the bay was lit up with fireworks. My dd thought it was great! My ds really liked it except when they went off directly above us...for those he hid under or behind chairs.

Overall a great day! Now I am at work. I basically won't see the kids till wednesday night with all the work I am doing. Oh well.
