*Girls DL Trip* OLD THREAD

Sounds like a lot of you had a great 4th of July .

I went to my grandma's for swimming and BBQ and then I got a call from a friend asking if I wanted to join them and spend the night at Disneyland.

Guess where I slept last night????

The Mickey Penthouse Suite at the Disneyland Hotel .

It was gorgeous and had a lot of neat details. My kids were really excited when they saw the room. We had the best view of the fireworks last night.

I have pictures if anyone would like to see them.

So it was unexpected surprise yesterday. We didn't have to check out until 2pm so the kids went for a swim this afternoon and then we came home. I was too tired to go to the parks today.

It would be hard having to go to the park after staying in that room. I would want to stay in the room and not leave.

Hey girls!

I just got in from a week in the mountains, so I have not had any time to read back. But I just wanted to say hi and that I hope you all had a good week. I heard there are a couple of fires in Yosemite, and I hope they are not anywhere near where Vicki is!

Oh, and I had a package waiting for me when I got home! I reported about it on the exchange thread. I'm super excited about it!

I'm off to bed, but I'll try to read back tomorrow.

Yup! Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding! We have a Winnah! Thank goodness I had yesterday off! 16 hours today, tomorrow, and Tuesday! I should just get a cot and call this home for the next 3 days! Oh well, I probably get more time to be on the boards here than I do at home with the kids and laundry calling me!

Hope everyone else is home with family or having fun at Disney!

Katie, I am green with envy, but so happy for you! What a dream come true that would be.

Sarah, girl, you work waaaayyyy too much - I could not do it. Well, 20 years ago, yes, but now that I am almost 50, nope. You are a trooper!

Off to bed. The long weekend went by much too quickly. Boo-Hoo. Speaking of Boo, how is Bridgette doing? Haven't heard from her today, or have we? I hope she is resting her feet and having a fabulous time.

And Sara your 4th sounded like fun. I am sorry you had to work yesterday and for the next few days. Hope it goes by fast for you!

Stacielee have fun at Disney! Wish I was there! Last July the girls and I were there so I am jealous! In fact I think we were there the last 2 summers before as well. I know we bought our AP's in the summer of 06 and I am pretty sure we went in July of 07 and I KNOW we went last July so yeah this is the first summer in 3 years we won't have gone. Holy cow now that I just realized that I am in withdrawals! But I am REALLY looking forward to D.C. AND I am looking forward to the Oct and Feb trips so that is ok!

Today starts me 3 days in a row of doc apts BLEH. Todays and tomorrows shouldn't be bad but I am a bit nervous about wed. I know it will only be a consult but I am SO hoping he doesn't order a colonoscopy. I had a barium enema ALREADY this year and I don't think I can go through another test like that. It about killed me. We shall see I guess but I am not thrilled about the whole thing. I will just be glad when this week and next week are over. Lynn is coming next week and we have to go back to probation and I'm not looking forward to that either. Shane can't take anymore time off work and so I have to deal with her boyfriend and her all by myself and it is going to be awkward to say the least.

My mom just called and told me about the monorail accident at DW. That is so sad. Did any of you hear about it? There is a thread on the DW board. Apparently a train ran into the back of another train and a driver was killed. SO sad! Prayers to that drivers family!
