Kiki, my suggestion would be to read the book One Last Time by John Edward. It will help you and your friend understand.
It's a little slow here on the Dis tonight, so I might as well tell y'all some more.
For those who need to read the background story, please leave now and go to pg. 14 - I think that's the page. Close enough.
So, I was 12 when we moved into the finished house. A little more background, I was an avid reader. And, yes, would probably rate fairly high on the nerd scale (I mostly resembled Hermine Granger from Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone). Well, my room was the spookiest room in the house. I remember the old house and when we went upstairs (remember the upstairs floor-plan was not changed all that much - just the addition of the Jack-n-jill bathroom to connect my brother's and my room), I couldn't even go in the room. It had (and still has), a creepy feel to it. Well, I would buy books back then (and all through my high school career too), and stay up until 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning reading. A lot of nights - too countless to recount them all - I would hear footsteps come up the stairs and stop outside my door. I would usually hold my breath and wait. Sometimes, the door handle would jiggle like someone was trying to come in, but the door never opened. I hated it. I was scared to death, and thinking back, I'm not sure it was the love of reading or the fear of going to sleep, that kept me up most nights.
There is more to the room story, but I'll just call it Part III....
I does involve others who stayed in the room for a visit, and experienced alot more than me!
Breezy, that is so creepy. Does it still bother you talking about it now?
Okay I waited until morning to read this b/c once again I wanted to get some sleep.
!!
What's really weird about the house is that I've always known someone died there. I thought my parents told me that when they bought the place, but we were up for a visit recently and we were talking about it. When I mentioned about someone dying in the house - I think I asked who it was - they were confused and said, "noone died here".I insisted that, yes, they told me about it didn't they? They insisted they never said anything like that and to their knowledge, noone died in the house. It's really creepy, but I just "know" that someone did. I'm going to try to do research on the place the next time I'm back up there. It'll be interesting...
Weird, huh? I'd also bet everything that it was a man. That's just the "feel" I get from whatever's in there. Contrary to the woman's voice from the barn.
Does all this sound crazy to y'all?
Have you ever done any research on the house? Like when was the house built or check local the local Register of Deeds to see who used to live there? That would be really cool if you were able to find some history on it. Also, most Counties across have all the info online now, sometimes you have to pay for it but sometimes it's free too.
My house is boring, it was built in 1958 and before that it was just a big meadow. But you know, honestly in this case, I don't mind boring.
