Am I understanding correctly? I realize that if you drive your own car to TTC, you still have to take monorail or ferry to MK entrance. If you take the bus from resort, you are dropped off right at entrance.

Is it true that the monorail and ferry don't start their run until EXACTLY the EE time. (8:00 am on 9:00 park opening day). If true, seems this would put a driver at a disadvantage to a bus rider. Does anyone know if this is true and if so how much time are you actually loosing by driving your own car?

Thanks.

:)

When we were there in October this was definitely true. Reason being... most of the time those driving are not eligable for EE morning anyway, as they usually are locals or those staying offsite.

I do believe that the resort monorail is running, so if this is a concern of yours, park in the TTC lot, but instead of heading to the monorail or boat, stay to your left and follow the signs to the pathway to the Polynesian. It is about a 3 minute walk, and you can catch the resort monorail from there.

We have always felt it was much easier to ride the bus to MK... though we do like to drive to the other parks.

the resort monorail starts before EE, so you can take that and still be there at rope drop. do not worry.

we were offsite last week but had 8:05am res at crt
we arrived at the ttc before 8, got right on the monorail (in the front since there was no one else riding) and were at the gates 15min before rope drop (it was an ee day).
i wouldn't worry about driving; we never had a problem.

We often drive to TTC instead of taking our resort bus. You get a great parking spot at TTC and can walk right over to the monorail. You HAVE to show your resort ID to get through the gates. Take the resort monorail to MK. Last year we took the first bus out of the A/S and our friends drove....they beat us there! Not a problem either way. Just have that resort ID.
