Well the thing that I thought would "never happen to me" happened to me yesterday. My hard drive on my 20 month old Dell Desktop crashed. Windows can't be reloaded on it..it is a hardware failure. Supposedly, I can somehow get my old hard drive's info on the new computer as a slave drive? I'm leaving that one up to my husband and the Geek Squad, but in the meantime....is there any utilities out there that will transfer all the music on my ipod to my new laptop that has the Itunes software on it. I signed into my account on Itunes with the new computer and of course, the library is blank.

I"ve spent over $200 on songs over 8 months and no I didn't back them up. I didn't even know how except to burn them to disc, which seemed cumbersome at the time and I thought I had more time to do it...you know, with a freakin' 20 month old top 'o the line Dell. GRR. I don't even want to think about how much my teenagers have spent on music and it's gone.

Unless a DIS'er can recommend a safe utility to transfer the music on my Ipod to the new computer. The last thing I need to do is crash this hard drive. And no, I didn't buy another Dell!
