First, let me say I am new at this so I am not sure how long things are supposed to take, BUT, I don't think that the process of dealing with the IPO should be so difficult.

My 180 day mark was Wednesday (the 21) I sent off my itinerary planning form via email on the 19.) So far, I haven't heard anything back. I did call the next day, the 20th, to give my credit card number for a few things that would require my number. They had everything they needed to make my ADRs the next day.

I sent a follow up email early yesterday morning asking about confirmation numbers, and so far, nothing. I have also being trying to get through by phone all morning and keep getting the voice mail.

Is it always this hard????? :confused3

I don't know WHAT is going on over there, but I have experiencing similar frustrations with the GF IPO. :guilty: I sent an email last Thursday and only heard back Monday after I resent the email. :sad2: I am still waiting (since the 19th) for a follow up from them. It does not give a good impression. At least I KNOW I love the GF and the staff onsite is wonderful, but the IPO office is disappointing. We leave in just over a week and I need to tie up some loose ends. I will probably end up phoning Monday.

Good luck,

Lives4Disney :)

I know that I have said this in a previous thread. I also had a very hard time getting a hold of them, so I contacted Disney Dining. The first person that I spoke to was not helpful, but the next CM was great. But to answer your real question I have no idea why it has been so hard.

You have to remember they will never have the sense of urgency that you have in planning your own vacation. I ran into this a bit with AKL last summer. I'd keep getting the Voicemail when I called. I finally just made a few ADR's for some real key things we know we wanted ( 8:05am Crystal Palace on our MK day for instance), and then when I got through to them they were able to make everything over the phone and send me my summary.

I specifically took notice of how busy the staff was while I was there and I saw that they weren't sitting around waiting to take phone calls. So just have patience.

thats why i opted outta bwi cl and did wl cl
i didnt hear back for days and my emails went unresponded to
at wl and poly i have been getting amazing service
but they share the same ipo office so

I started calling around 9:30 Central time and it is now 2:30 and all I get is voice mail. I did finally leave a message, but, if they return calls anything like they respond to emails, it was a worthless effort....

i would call and ask for a manager
or maybe even call guest services and say you arent hearing back
have you thought of switching your ressie ??

Well, my family really likes the CR, it will be our first time staying concierge. I went through a AAA travel agent, so I don't have my reservation number. I at least know the IPO can find my ressie. Would the regular dining phone number CMs be able to find them for me without a ressie #?

hm, have you thought of making your own ressies or having the aaa person
do it. I know its part of the service but i would hate you to lose out on good adrs waiting for them to get back to you
good luck :)
ETA did you get the discount booking thru AAA?

Yes, I got the AAA discount :cool1: . I don't have my ressie number, can I still make my own ressies?

i would call you aaa person get the number
call dining and start making your own
because your ressie is uner a ta they might tell you the ta has to
but i would try dont bring it up
whe they ask where you are staying say CR and the dates and thats it
tehn email the IPO and say you did them all yourself
and call there and ask to speak to a manager
i emailed the wl staff today and within 3 min i hada reply from trish
i never waited more than 3 hours for a reply from them

I just spoke to my agent. She was confused also because they sent her the wrong planning form and just got it today. They sent one for the GF, and was trying to figure out why. She gave me my ressie number, but said she would try to call and see if she could get my confirmation numbers for me. If I don't hear from her by 6, then I will call and see what I can do. Is the dining number available until 8 or 10?

By the way, thanks for your help!!!!! :sunny:

I had been having great e-conversations with the CR IPO, but then they started slacking off a little. Responses not quite as prompt and a little more terse than they had been a few months ago.

I sent my ADR requests 2 days ago and just got an e-mail today that they were made. I wasn't too stressed because it was technically prior to my 180-day mark (it's tomorrow, I believe). It seems like they must be busy.

I hope they made your ADRs and are just behind on letting everyone know. Good luck.

We'll be there Dec 21-26. Do our stays overlap each other? Maybe we'll see you then...

Never heard from them. The travel agent did check and found out no ressies had been made. I just went ahead and did it myself. My 180 day was Wednesday. I am wondering if I should just get a regular tower room. I mean, if what I am paying for is service, what is the point?

I got -Le Cellier, Crystal Palace, Hollywood and Vine Fanstasmic package, Narcoosees' and Liberty Tree Tavern at the times I wanted. Funny, it took all of about 15 minutes. Oh and I ordered my tickets for MVMCP also!

Yep, we will be there the 18-24!

If I had your experience, I probably would switch. I had been idly thinking along those lines myself and came to the conclusion that if there was no response from the IPO and I ended up having to make my own ADRs, I would switch.

Then again, I selfishly hope you stay so we have a chance of bumping into each other in the lounge!

1) IPO is at the Poly, not at CR or GF or WL.
2) Sometimes they get crowded.
3) They will get around to you.

People can't just wait until they "get around to you". ADR's may be hard to get- especially during certain times. 180 days from now is what- near Christmas? I would think it might be hard to get ADRs if you wait too long- and if you're going to have to wait for them to get around to you- by then they might say they can't get you the ADRs you want!

And I'm with the others- if you have to call yourself, it might not be worth going concierge. I mean people are saying all the time that you shouldn't go concierge SOLELY for the food- so if the service isn't there either, exactly what are you paying for concierge for?

I expect that if I am paying extra money for service that I should get the at least the same service I could give myself. I could have made all my ADR's on Wed, if I had just called. I expected that the IPO would make my ADR's on that day or at the latest, the next. At the very least, a simple confirmation that they had my ADR's would have been nice.

I understand that they have a lot to do, but how hard is it to organize the peoples' files that are at the 180 mark each day? I also expect that for the amount of money I am planning on spending that I would get a phone call back after being asked to leave a message. I tried to get through at least 30 times today and all I got was the voice mail.
