Well, looking back at the delay today .... I don't mind that much any more, since they forked over a lot of money for the delay. And business class helped a lot with passing the time.

Isn't the term Dalmation Day so funny? He picked it up on some of the boards he frequents.

Nice settlement Karin I just did Online check-in for December, so I am definitely in full Disney dreaming mode....between yours and Kathy's TR photos...I can do it

Just a short update on our claim with the airline, before I will do replies and and update tomorrow.

Our compansation went through and the airline paid 1200 Euros. 300 Euros go to the lawyers, but that still leaves us with

900 Euros (1200 US dollars!)

for online check-in. It means you are just 60 days (or less) out! I can check in for our next cruise in just 2 more weeks. Makes the trip so much more real!

Day 2, August 8

Cruise friends - Part 3

After we had settled the bill and the kids had had another restroom break we got in line to see the Beast.
Needless to say that he needed to look after Belle right when it was our time to meet him. So we waited for another five minutes until he came back and enjoyed having the room to ourselves.















When the Beast came back the kids had their photos taken







and then we headed back outside. It had gotten a bit later than we had thought and since lines were long, we slowly made our way towards the exit and then walked over to the Contemporary.
We were a tad early now and explored the shops before making our way downstairs to head out to the Marina.
Michelle, Vito, Vito jr and Angelina, friends we had met on a cruise in 2012, and who were joining us on the cruise were already waiting and lots of hugs were in store. Everyone introduced themselves and it was fun to find out that both families, Jeff’s and Michelle’s originate from the same New York area.
It was fun listening in on how they found out they grew up in very close proximity to each other. I
n the meantime our pontoon boat had arrived and the captain came over to get life vests for the kids. He had no problem picking one for Molly,





then he picked a smaller one for Philip and after squeezing him in, it was decided that it was too small and we all had a good laugh watching him getting Philip out of it again.



Finally he was in a larger size life vest





and we all picked our seats on the boats.







Molly decided to sit with us and we all had some chips and drinks, which were included in the cruise.

Day 2, August 8

Cruise friends - Part 4

Molly decided to sit with us and we all had some chips and drinks, which were included in the cruise.
We went out onto Bay Lake and our captain started to explain the different hotels we were passing and had lots of stories to tell. We stopped for a while to watch the Water Pageant









and it always amazes me how different it looks from the water. Then we made our way over to the Seven Seas Lagoon and after passing by the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian Resort, our boat was positioned in front of the railway station and we waited for the fireworks to begin.



The music started and the first fireworks went off and we all sat and enjoyed the view and sharing these magical moments with each other.



















It was so nice to hear Angelina giggle and to watch Molly and Philip enjoy the moment.
Once Wishes was over we drove back to the Contemporary Marina, got off the ship and talked for a while before it was time to say goodbye to Michelle and her family.
We still had more than 4 weeks of vacation ahead of us and we were sure to see them again, but sadly it never happened.
After they had left, the six of us made our way to our cars, said goodbye, but not without making plans for the next day, and then headed to our resorts. We returned to Old Key West at around 11pm and were so tired. The time change caught up with us and after getting changed and sharing two of the speciality caramel doughnuts



we watched a little more TV and had no problem falling asleep once the TV was turned off.

A wonderful way to spend the evening....DIS friend and a fireworks cruise. Great pictures. The last time we were at Orlando airport we were early so we had dinner in the food court and for dessert I had a krispy creame donut....I told Scott & Howie I'm having one in your honor.
