Geriatric MM Warriors!

I tried and they got moldy! I think I'll be safer with microgreens. At least the sun will help to keep them from getting yucky.

Did you rinse them every day without fail and cover them with cheesecloth so they can breathe?

SharronLee PM'd me and asked if she could join us. She said she's been feeling like the "Left Behind' books, poor baby! I am waiting for her to email me so I can give her the lifeline over here. It'll be good to see her again.

That's nice. :) I feel awful about this whole thing again. It's been a hard day altogether.

Kathy, speaking of hard days, how are you? Are you out there?

I kept them in an open jar with a little water in the cabinet. I probably did it all wrong. I think there were far too many in the jar also. Some sprouted, most didn't and then they started smelling funky. :( I did rinse them every day, but I probably did everything else wrong!

New at LCF, MM Junior High School !

I'm not even going to go over there to read all about it. Did anyone ask Pebbi/Debbi if she was interested in coming over here? She was a nice gal(I think) I'm getting paranoid now about anymore coming over...

You use a big jar with cheesecloth and a rubber band on the top and rinse all of the water off every day so they are just damp. You should try some again. I'll confirm. I'ts been a long time, but my Mom used to have sprout jars under every cabinet, lol! Peanut, radish, alfafa, bean, everything!

P.S. After they sprout, you put them on a single layer tray in the air and light and let them photosynthese.

Do you want to ask Debbi? SharronLee is on her way. She was so sweet.

I bet I had too much water in there. I let them soak like you do before you cook them and then let the water out. I don't have cheesecloth, but I'll find a piece of loose weave plain fabric and try it. I think I've got some pink beans in the cabinet. They will make a good experiment seed.

Debbi was a sporatic poster but she was really nice. I'll do it if others feel she's a good choice.

I'm happy with anyone who isn't a crazy maker. You know crazy maker, people who get bored and want to stir the pot. :stir:

There's not a person that was on our blog that I didn't care for. As long as we make sure we keep here safe. I do not think that Debbi was a person who got into games.

You can look up the directions online. Evidently, trays with drainage holes are better than jars. We always used huge jars. It was fun!

I agree with Nell. Just feel her out, give her a place to contact you if she is interested and leave the ball in her court.

Well, Im going to be glad to see SharronLee! She was always a sweetheart! I think Debbi will be Ok too....and probably stwill too? Like someone said, we dont want the whole darn group of them over here though! so PM them and see if they want to join us and go from there? I really dont care what GL thinks, shes probably a little pissed that her private kingdom isnt amounting to much! And KW...I guess I just dont know about that...I dont believe that she would say anything bad about any of us though...I think she just likes to stay somewhat distant in general.

Nell - I can deal with y'all talking about garden variety weeds, and go ahead and eat them, just couldnt face the seaweed thing...ick, slimy is what gets me!

Lisa - I DO like bean sprouts!! I used to throw them in a pita with cream cheese and tomato and cucumber...yum, but the alfalfa ones are just too "grassy" for me!

KW did say something not so nice about me and then about all of us. I didn't like seeing that. It was based on total random guessing.

I just really read your signature! You have to try sushi!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Robin – thanks for asking, :tinker: I am right here. I am out running errands on Monday and Tuesday with DH (his days off), then the kids get home from school and its homework, dinner, homework, etc. I did go to my Zumba Gold class last night and we had a substitute teacher. I really enjoyed her, but found out she normally only teaches regular classes, and I don’t think I’m ready for that yet.

Nell – sorry to hear that M is having medical issues. I hope you are able to figure out the finances. Are you saying your boss only pays you $40/week? That doesn’t seem quite legal.

Laura – we could cuss on the Yahoo thread, but not here. Sometimes it’s funny what will get *****ed.

Robin – I think Ken sounds romantic, and you may have mentioned once or twice (or three hundred times) that you are in love. I do expect an invitation to the wedding.

Nell – I love the info you give us on our bodies, and how everything interacts. It’s amazing how it is all interrelated.

Barb – too funny about restricting your client to the pool. I would think punishing him would make him stay out of the pool.

Pam – if you are afraid of bulking up, there is a great workout book called “Escape Your Shape: How to Work Out Smarter, not Harder.” He addresses which exercises you should use based on your body type. It’s very interesting and logical.

Lisa – sorry to hear about your roofing problems. Romance land ended Saturday night about 10:00 and reality has returned. I actually have more time when I am at work Wed. – Fri.

It's off for Rummikub for family game night. I'll see you later.

Hi Bev!! Glad to see you back!! We are trying to figure out how to cuss in pig latin now...Kathy's idea, and hopefully we wont offend the Disneyites!! Dont worry about an invite to the wedding, there is NO WAY I could get married without All of You there!! :bride:

Lisa - I finally found it, and I think you're right, GL is just grasping at straws and figuring we left and went somewhere else together...no way she could really know unless someone PM'd her...and I dont think anyone here would have done that. I am ticked that she is trying to target Nell though to find out whats going on...trying to be all Mrs Nice Guy! I know how you feel about wanting to PM and explain ourselves, but I REFUSE to fall into any traps and I dont feel like I have to explain anything...everyone I want is right here! :dance3::yay::cool1::banana::cheer2:

Hi Barb - I agree with you, No KW, No GL - just my vote if we are voting!!

BTW Lisa - I have had sushi, just the veggie kind...OMG does that mean I have eaten seaweed?:scared1::scared1::scared1:

Good evening everyone!
Nell, I'm here. I went to Tristan's house (my oldest DD who just got married) and was taking Carrie's senior pictures in the corn fields, with all the pumpkins and such. Tristan's mother and father in law have a huge farm. They have corn, squash, pumpkins, and other stuff. They have a donkey, 2 fainting goats (they won't faint though) and tons of beef cows. It is their barn Tris and Levi got married in. Tris' house is right across the road. I'm glad for that. Her mom and dad in law are great. They have always been like an aunt and uncle and when she and Levi got together, another mom and dad. His mom is like an older sister to me. Many happy childhood memories with their family.
Feeling a bit tired, my supper was 2 cheeseburgers heated up from last night. No bun.
I believe I'm off to bed now. Have a great evening everyone. I know there were a few things I was going to "address" but can't remember now that I got through all the posts.
Nell, I hope Marti (was that his name? I can't remember, I'm sorry) is doing ok. I will be saying some very special prayers for him and you and also for your schooling. Hand it over to God, and just let him take care of it for you.

Bev, I sure hope that guy can hold his breath!! Got a chuckle out of that. There is a guy Mike knows that had that on him. When he went to get it removed almost a year later, they found out they never turned it on! Thankfully he got his act straightened out and never tried to go out of where he was to be. But they were charging him $35/month for "maintenance" on the thing!
Have a great night everyone and God bless you all and sweet dreams.
Robin, don't stay up too late, or you'll get dark circles and bags just in time for Ken to visit over Thanksgiving. I am so happy that you found such a great man.
Good night everyone.
