Geriatric MM Warriors!

Hi All! Getting ready to leave work...skipping the gym tonite and going tomorrow instead...I work 12.5 hours tomorrow, but I am just so NOT in the mood tonight! Ken will be traveling from China to London tomorrow so I wont get to speak with him until Sunday morning anyway, so might as well hit the gym Saturday night!

Welcome Sherry! Glad you found us here, we love the peace and our new smilie collection!!:dance3:

Kate and Barb - Im gonna get those turkeys now and put em on the table for Thanksgiving!! I forgot that they drown if they look up in the rain! LOL They are silly creatures, but Im just a sucker for all animals...now INSECTS are a whole nother story! :scared1::scared1:

Nell Please tell me you are not decorating for Christmas already? OK, here goes Pony again....I HATE CHRISTMAS!! I cant stand that it is so commercialized....I love going to midnight church candlelight service, sending cards to close friends, but other than that, you can just keep it. Blowing money to buy stuff for people you dont even like, stores crammed with obnoxious and mean people, ugh.. I DREAD it!

BTW - I want to be a member of the sit at home club too you guys!! Does that mean I have to quit my job and the gym?

Ok, getting out of here, talk to you guys when I get home tonight..

Off to take Tyson for a walk. I'll be back hopefully around 11. It'll be a late night tonight anyway. It's all good :D

My kids are older and we have started new traditions. Now instead of exchanging gifts, we plan an event. This year we're thinking of staying in a nice hotel in downtown Seattle, walking around and enjoying the department store windows and lights, and having a good dinner on the waterfront. Of course when I have my first grandbaby, that will probably change  I won't be able to resist playing Santa. :santa:

Just got back from our walk. It was so nice. Not too cold, about 60* and it quit raining.
Robin, I hope tomorrow goes well for you. Long days just aren't fun.
Well, a little tired, so off to bed I go.
Saying prayers for everyone who needs them and some more for all the unasked prayers that need answered also.
Good night, sweet dreams and God Bless.

I am so upset!!!

I spent about 15 mins typing out a post and clicked the submit button and it told me I wasn't logged in. So I logged in again, and then it ate my post. Darn!

I'm going to bed and will try again in the morning. I have had this trouble several times. I think it's because I'm such a slow typer that it somehow logs me off before I click on submit.

Natalie, I hope your Mom is okay. my thoughts are with you both.

Carol

Looks like Carol is the only one who got a post in after the site was down last night! oh well, at least I got about an extra hours sleep not being able to gab with you guys here!

Good Morning! WAY EARLY...Have to be at work at 8, dont get out til 9pm...ugh...Hope I can post from there, usually not too busy after noon.

Prayers for Natalies Mom, Kathy and Carrie, Ken to get home safely, and everyone else to have their private prayers answered!

Have a Great MM Day, Love you All!:dance3:  :surfweb: :surfweb:

I got some sad news yesterday. I woman that I have known for some time went to the airport on Thursday to pick up her husband (he works in Los Angeles and commutes back and forth from the Bay Area). He wasn't there so while she was calling his office to see if they knew if he had missed his plane, the sheriff called and told her that he had died the day before of a heart attack. So sad. And can you believe that no one told her? His office knew the day before because they were the ones that got worried when he didn't come in and had someone go over to where he was staying.

Please say a prayer for Marinda and her daughter Esther.

Carol - I love your posts! I would suggest that you do shorter posts (part 1 and part 2?) because I think you are right, you are getting logged out because of the passage of time. I'm sorry that I can't share my speedy typing fingers with you.

That is terrible!! I will be saying a prayer for her and her family. I can't believe they didn't even call her!!!

Good morning everyone! Not much going on yet I see.

Robin, hope your day goes quickly. Nothing like a long day!!!

Getting ready to go to the pet store. Tyson will have so much fun! He absolutely loves to go to the "doggie" store LOL.

Not much going on here, so I won't ramble or anything.

Have a great day everyone. Catch you all later!!

Tutu, is shopping exercise? I sure hope so LOL. Not really doing that much though. :sad1:

Carol, unless I am typing to answer only one quote, I type my posts in Word first then copy them over into the post box. Would that help you?

I LOVE CHRISTMAS!

It's so not about the shopping and presents at my house either. I do love, love, love to decorate and bake. Then my sister's family travels home to Mom and Dad's and everyone comes here for the day. I love the music, the fire, the leisurely breakfast, most of all our stockings. We only buy gifts for the kdis and sometimes one for each household. We watch cool stuff while I'm cooking, like Peter Paul and Mary and sing. It's one of the only times all year that all of us are together and all of the kids are off school or work and home. I hate when it's over!:santa:

There's a big cuddly man waiting in my hot tub! Of couse, there is also a dog who drops her ball in there every 2 seconds so we can throw it for her.

Good Morning. I did try to get on last night but the site was down for updates. Just popping in to say hi before breakfast and chores. I'll catch you all later.

Kathy: Shopping is exercise if you walk really quickly to beat out the other shoppers! We're heading out to Lowes to get new outdoor lights. I'm still scubbing the garage doors and touching up paint. Then I'm planting mums in pumpkins for the front porch. Trying to get ready for the neighbors at Halloween. It will last for Thanksgiving, too.

Kater, So sorry to hear about your friend's loss. My thoughts and prayers are with her. What an awful way to find out someone you love has passed. My husband suffered a heart attack last Dec, but we were lucky he was near help. Yes, you could send me your speedy typing fingers. It would be a good trade for Lobster. A win-win situation for me.

Lisa, Thanks for your suggestion. I would truly use word ( is that what you said?) if I knew how to. Robin says she is techno-challenged, but I can't even do video games. What I can do is copy and paste. I am the queen of that! So I'm thinking I will copy my post before I hit the submit button and then paste it back in the box when it tells me it's eaten my post and I need to login again. Ya, no moss growin' on this brain. I will outsmart this machine yet, I hope.

I slept better last night, and your guess is as good as mine as to why. Ate the same ice cream bar and had the cup of milk during the night. The only difference was that I stayed up later that usual as I didn't need to get up at 6:00 this morning. I think it's mostly allergies, tho, as they have been pretty bad these past few weeks. Oh well, this too shall pass.

Hope everyone else has a great weekend. I'm off to my grandson's Fall Festival at his preschool this morning. Then to a bridal shower this afternoon and on to a breast cancer awareness dinner and auction this evening. My friend is on the last round of radiation for bilateral breast cancer and wants me to go with her and have some fun to support the cause.

Prayers and positive thoughts go out to all that may need them this day.

Carol

Carol, If you can copy and paste you are already there! Have you written letters in Word before? :surfweb:Have a wonderful day! You have a perfect Fall lineup scheduled. We're off to Lowes!

Getting ready to go to the pet store. Tyson will have so much fun! He absolutely loves to go to the "doggie" store LOL.

Halle loves the doggie store too. She carries toys around and trys to eat the treats that are sitting around in bins!
