Geriatric MM Warriors!

Sounds really nice Lisa...my mom is SO about all that kind of decorating!! Im sure I will come home one night in the near future to find one of those crazy things hanging from the ceiling that makes all kind of weird ghost noises when you walk by it! LOL, she thinks that thing is the bomb! I usually put up with it for about 2 days then take it down and hide it from her!:rolleyes1

Your Mom sounds like fun!

I'm making turkey Caesar salads for dinner. Drews Roasted Garlic 1 carb dressing tastes a lot like Caesar and I got a big thing of parm at Costco so I can make the chips. That's it and then a hot tub! I thought we'd have tons of leftover time today and we are still working on the last coach light!:rolleyes1

Tutu - I was just thinking about you this morning! I was zapping myself for not exercising the last three days! We need a zapper "smiley"! It sounds like you are getting enough excercise for both of us! :lmao:

7 was a bit to much for me. I was so sore and tired I didn't think I was going to make it to the end. My DH even told me I was pushing myself to much. Then I had to get up early for a facepainting job today. It's only 8pm and I am ready for bed.

Aww. Sorry to hear you are so tired Laura. Hope you kept drinking your water. Did you have fun painting little faces today?

:confused:I can't figure out how to post pictures. Anybody

Same here! FAQ's say that there is an attachment icon, but I don't have one. It says to open the Post Reply box and it should work like it did on LCF, but I don't see the paperclip nor do I see Manage Attachments, which it says we should see also.

The posting rules at the bottom of the page on the left hand side says to me, "you may not post attachments." Perhaps we have to be members for a certain amount of time or have a certain amount of posts first?

Cindy, you could use the email addresses from the Christmas card list to send them around or post them on face book and paste the link to the pictures here. :)

Good idea Nell. I will send them around. They came out so cute...

Yes the best is when you show them in the mirror and they have the biggest smile on their face. Makes you forget all your problems.

Pam! love that you're calling Robin Barbie--too funny!! I think that should be her new nickname (though it really doesn't fit her from what we know about her but so what!!:lmao:)

Lisa-you and Pam can come to my house, I have a ton of painting needing to be done. My son went nuts at disney over woody woodpecker the same way your son did--he didn't want to leave his side!! I'm going to try my calcium at bedtime, maybe it'll help me sleep better. The Carb Krunchers bread is good, I got the plain bagels and not too good. I need to try the everything ones now. I have a beautiful deck and have in the past decorated with all of the things on your porch! I love that look!

Bev--between you and me, we'll get stuff done around our homes by someone here!!

Barb-have a great visit with your daughter:love: I love your Xmas tradition, what a lovely way to be together with your family

Jocelyn--its good you're talking to your friend, she would understand this woe because of Atkins. For me, the pounds have slowed but my pants are getting looser--I never measured before step 1 so not sure how many inches. what is the name of your friend with leukemia so we can pray for him (well God knows who it is, it helps me pray more directly)

Nell--my four legged 'daughter' is my joy! she such a love, can't wait to start fostering more bostons. I hope you're not coming down with anything bad, feel better

Kathy--still praying for you and Carrie. Sami's cost me almost $13 just for shipping BUT I did buy 3 loafs of bread, 2 lavash and one brownie(ug, don't even try it, yuk!) If you go to Linda's Diet Delites they're in NJ so it may not be too much. It cost me $5.50 to get a loaf of bread and bagels (not great, but when you're looking for carbs that are low, I'll do it!)

Sherrie--so happy you're here:banana:

Pony--I love Christmas but I TOTALLY get where you're going with the over commercialization of it. I do alot of shopping online and wonder into a couple stores during the week because weekends are horrible. Its all about Jesus for me, but we do get caught up in the Santa thing too (prayers for Ken to come home safely)

Kate-I'm so sorry to hear about your friends husband, what a terrible thing

Carol--you've had a busy day, prayers to your friend

Cindy--you are incredibly busy today, I love when I get things done, that feeling of accomplishment!

They are going really slow with my mom, yesterday all they did was a blood test and today an ultrasound--seriously?? So who knows how long she'll be in for but she's holding up nicely and eating good!(chicken marsala she said was wonderful--they must be gettting better at cooking in hospitals!)

Got a greek salad with salmon on Thursday at a restaurant called "Its Greek to Me"--omgosh, was so yummy I went back yesterday to get another. so now I'm worried if there was some hidden sugar to make me crave it?? all I know is that I'm addicted to greek salads!! love feta!!

much love to all of you! now on to my research for the evening.....

I just send the christmas card list out a second time by accident. I was trying to add Kate's phone number, and it went.

Well I am going to call it a night. I'll finish getting caught up before the dolphin game I don't have to be there until noon. My eye kids are getting heavy. Sweet dreams!

Cindy, the pumpkins are awesome! Tell them they did a great job. I especially like the idea of the mouth that says "Halloween."

That's my girly. She's very creative! I told them you liked their pumpkins. They were so cute when I told them.

Good evening everyone! I see you have all been somewhat busy while I've been playing LOL.

Lisa, planting mums in the pumpkins sounds like such a great idea!! I may have to steal that one for next year. It's getting pretty cold to be planting them now. I do want to carve a pumpkin though. I have a stencil of a boxer face. Everyone says I'm boxer crazy. I think I have to agree with them LOL.

Carol, sounds as though you've had a full day! Sorry to hear about your friend. I'll say some prayers for her. I really need to get my prayer notebook started.

Kate, I'm lucky with Tyson. He doesn't bother anything on the shelves or try to eat treats. He just wants to be the main greeter of anyone or any dogs that come in. He wants to play with them all. He had such a good time. We try to take him once in a while. The closest store is about 45 minutes away, so he doesnt' get to go as much as I'd like to take him. We got his coat though. Really nice. It is wool lined, so it will keep him warm. I'll post a video we took of him. We were going to get him some doggie boots, so we tried them on first. This video is sooo funny!!

Nat, still praying for you mom. As for your son and the canidae, I hate to say it, but you probably have it also. When my girls were born, I had it and they had it in their mouths. Now they get it ******lly also. I know coconut oil is good for helping get rid of it. And I'm thinking fish oil too. If you can get the ph just right, canidae can't survive. Maybe even apple cider vingegar pills may help.

Nell, my dad absolutely loves Christmas. He always has. I was on our walk lastnight, and just looking in the windows of all the stores we pass through town. In one store window is Thanksgiving decorations, the other window is Christmas decorations. I am with Robin in the aspect of too much commercialization, is that a word? LOL. I try to get all my shopping done on Black Friday. Ya, I'm one of those crazy people. Our Walmart is only about 3 miles away, so I tackle it first, then Staples, which is right across the parking lot, then come home to drop off everything, then to the mall. There is JC Penny, Kmart, Sears, and Bon Ton. I made a killing last year at Sears. I got all of Mike's tools really cheap there. Then I have the rest of the month to sit back and just enjoy the season. I used to have a Christmas tape I absolutely loved. It was a male singer with a deep baratone voice. He sang mostly Christian songs. One of them is to the tune of the 12 days of Christmas, but the song says for instance, "the first day of Christmas, Jesus gave to me, a body whole and free. It is such a relaxing beautiful tape. He also did The Little Drummer Boy. It is my favorite Christmas tune. The way he sings it actually brings tears to my eyes. I wish I could find that tape or find out who sings it. I would buy everyone it to listen to.

Bev, hope you had a blast at the ghost walk. I don't really care for haunted houses and the such. But I think I wouldn't mind a ghost walk. I'd know they are kids and maybe be more fun. Just don't like being scared. I know, I'm a baby!! LOL

Pam, just wanting to say hi to ya!!!

Cindy, Hi!! Good job in all your deep cleaning. Can you come help me with mine when your done?

Laura, sorry you're so tired today. Remember to take care of yourself!! If you can zap us for NOT exercising, we can zap you for doing TOO MUCH!! LOL. Please take it easy tomorrow, don't need you getting sick! To post pictures, I put them on FB or on photobucket then just copy and paste the site address. Hope it helps a bit.

Laura, good night. I hope you have a very restful sleep tonight.

Here is the link to my FB page. Hope you enjoy Tyson!!

I have to say Kathy...you and I are a lot alike. I love my Jesus SOOOOOO much and I hate being scared. Jeff loves scary movies and I tell him to go ahead and watch them without me. I'm not much of a Halloween person either. I prefer Fall Harvest. My old church used to have a fall festival on Halloween as an alternative to the kids going out and I loved it, unfortunately, I don't have that here. I miss it.

I wish you could remember the name of the dude who sings the christian songs, I'd LOVE it! Hope you are having a nice evening!:dance3:

Well, it's been a busy day! :jumping2: I got my work done and made two dinners. I opened the over to cook dinner and forgot I was defrosting a picnic ham, so now I have dinner for two nights ready. :) Well, at least the meat for tomorrow night. I'll probably make mocked mashed to go with it. Be back in a few. I forgot to put something away!

Well I am finally home from work and the gym...this Pony is plum tuckered out! I left the house at 7am and here I am back at almost midnite!

Y'all have been so busy decorating and cleaning and organizing and all...this Type A is so proud of you! I'm also a total neat freak, so I never really have any "deep cleaning" to do, just kind of keep it up all the time...OMG I think I need to RELAX...ever since Mom's been here she likes to putter around and do the vac and dust thing, so thats a few less things for me to do...as long as she stays away from my laundry! :laundy: I cannot imagine what horrors she could work there! Looked in there one day and she had towels, sweatshirts, undies, khakis, and her church clothes all in the same load...I almost fainted on the spot!

Nite Laura - Geez I cant believe a paltry 7 zumba classes wore you out?! I would be in a COMA by now! :faint:

Cindy and Lisa - thanks for sharing your pictures, you guys are so creative! Here is the extent of my Halloween decorating...Somehow I ended up with a pumpkin vine in my FRONT flower bed...it now has about 6 pumkins on it...VOILA, I'm done! LOL

Kathy and Cindy - Im with you guys too, LOVE JESUS, dont love Halloween or the whole idea of it...the one place in Disney I wont go is the Haunted Mansion!! I have been approximately 16 times, (might have missed one or two) as my Dad used to be on the board of directors there years ago when the Florida park first opened. We actually got to go the first week it opened! I havent been now in about 5 years, but I always loved it...staying at the Grand Floridian, always been a Disney fan.

Natalie - Do NOT encourage Pam...I am so NOT BARBIE!! In fact I believe I am the ANTI-BARBIE! :lmao:

Nell - too funny that you made two dinners...why didnt I think of that? Just put everything in there at once!

OK, I am going to hit the hay, too tired to stay up, no Ken until tomorrow morning...forgot to tell you he sent me an e-mail with the poem "Sonnet for a Queen" by Trent Lorcher...awwwwwwwww, WAY MUSHY!!!!:lovestruc

Help me out here ladies, I need some new ideas for my Tilapia I have to cook tomorrow...and something to do with ground turkey....

Will post the Wedding Soup recipe in the morning too...shucks, I forgot while I was hanging out all day twiddling my thumbs!

See Ya in the AM!! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
