General Public Package Code for October 1 through December 23

Life is good. I just saved $614.60 off my 10 night CSR MYWwithDining ressie from 10/12-10/22. I checked my reservation online while I was still on the phone with the CM, the $614.60 credit was already showing up before I even hung up the phone.
How are you seeing the price online? When I go to My Disney Vacation and put in my reservation # and phone #, all I get is the hotel name, dates, and guest names.
Please help!

Okay, here's what I've got. Current ressie is: Oct. 7-13 ASMo preferred room for 2A +2C plus 7 day non-hoppers with dining plan added. Cost: $2130.92. Dreams Unlimited TA just emailed me that she could get same exact package deal for $1799 if we switched out of ASMo and moved to eith POP or ASsports. Don't really want to switch (kids want ASMO even with the Fantasia pool drama) but would like to get the $332 discount. Only other option she said was AKL for $556 more (than orig. $2130 price). So we could go to AKL for $2700 approx. but don't really want to spend.

My question is: should I take the $332 and go to another value (would we be happy at either with 7 and 4 yr old?) or stick to ASMO and not get the $ back? :confused3 OR should I ask TA to keep trying for next few days for something else to open up? Comments?

Thanks!

If you stayed at Spots, your kids could visit ASMo. :)
Show them pictures of POP and try and make it sound so much cooler. See what they say.

Just got an email from my TA at Dreams (Debbie Lasher I love you!) and she had taken care of the whole thing for me. Ashamed to say I haven't even been checking codes lately, no need with her checking for me. So for our 7 day/night pkg. with dining at CBR she saved me $315. My total for the pkg is now 2853.34. Not bad! :cool1: :sunny:

I would switch. Thats a hefty savings, too good to pass up. I have stayed at all the Values. Personally, I like Pop the most (but I love the All Stars too)but if you do switch to ASSP, you can easily use/tour everything at ASMO (the pool thing alone would have had me switching way back when). You can easily tour ASMO by hopping on any bus at Sports, that is as long as they are sharing (which they usually are), as the buses stop at Sports first before moving on to Music and then finally Movies. I would simply tell your kids you had to do this, maybe offer each of them $20 of your total savings for something they want for themselves at Disney or at home. I had this exact same thing happen two years ago. We were all set to stay at French Quarter but the then code would only work at Riverside. Problem was my daughter had her heart set on that pool slide at POFQ! I bribed her with $20, saved my money and by the time the trip came up she didn't ever even remember wanting to not stay there

Made a brand new ressie this morning. Still in shock that DH went for it since we're going in September, also. I got........
12/12/2006-12/16/2006
CBR Std. View
2 Day MYW with Dining= $1137.

Already got all my ADR's even Le Cellier with the CP and I am so happy I could cry! :bounce:
Happiness is 2, count 'em, 2 countdown tickers !

I don't know. I don't know what I'm doing differently than you. I go to My Disney Vacation, I put in my ressie # and my phone #, I get all the info you see, but when I scroll down to the bottom of the page it shows my total package price, all the payments I've made and the total due, which is now a negative $614.60, which is the amount they will be crediting back to my card.

I think if you click on the link that says Make Payment, it will show you your balance. (You don't have to actually go through with making the payment). That's what I remember anyway- not at home to look up my own ressie.

I am going to call when I get home today. Probably too late. I have Poly GV booked for 11/17-11-25 AAA rate of like $35 off rack. What are you guys getting off the Poly per night? I also already have tickets for 3 of us. I only need 1 Adult and 1 child 7 day hopper. What do you suggest?

Thanks
No Disney Visa or GP code for the Poly during this time. I was able to get an AP rate, but that is about it.

01Sweetpea,

How much off was the AP code? Trying to figure if it's worth buying an AP.

Thanks

Can you try to book this on Disney's website using the code or is it just by phone?

Had to switch from POFQ to POR, but got the discounted rate. Saved $320.70 from my AAA package.

My TA said she had to change us from a standard to a preferred room to get us the discount. So we went from a Standard at 7day/6night ASMo w/5 day park hoppers plus dinning to a Perferred at 7day/6night ASMo w/5 day park hopper plus dinning. Our price difference is $100.98 in our favor. Now I'm happy to be saving $101, but I wonder if I should be saving more. I realize most that post on here are staying longer, and at mod or del hotels, and that's probably why everyone seems to be saving so much more. Could someone tell me how the discount works? Is it a certain percentage off your room or off your entire package? :confused3

If you were to stick with the standard room it should be around $180 savings

Amy&Dan- Can you tell me some things about Sports and POP that are as magical as it sounds to stay at Movies? I would really appreciate any info. The sports just don't look as exciting and POP looks too loud and busy (I'm going off pictures here and by loud I mean color wise. MAke sense? It just looks too fluorescent and bright!) Is it as clean at Sports and cute in the rooms? I'm so conflicted about all this changing... Thanks for your help. Yeah, I agree, it's a pretty hefty sum to me as well. And to be honest-- the kids really could probably care less... it's just me trying to make things 'perfect' for them. :wave2:

I orginally had 2 nights at the PR GV room and 5 nights at the GR in Sugarloaf. When I called this morning she tried to get all 7 nights for Sugarloaf, but they wouldn't let her apply the discount because I had a AAA room discount. The only thing that was available was a GV room at the Polynesian for all 7 nights, so I went ahead and booked it in hopes of upgrading later (but will be happy if I can't :teeth: )

Oct 19th for 7 nights.
Our total for seven nights 2 adults, 1 junior and 2 kids 10 base tickets with dining is $4,189
I took away our tickets (1066) and dining (952) and the room comes to $310 a night. It is $419 cheaper than AAA and $722 cheaper than rack rate :)

I just kept our AAA 2 night stay at the AKL CL.

There is a new package showing on the WDW website for Values. I think it's the same as this one, however, the information isn't loading correctly. Maybe they are still working on it.

Is the $310 without tax? I just booked with AP rate at Poly for $325 without tax per night for regular season. I am assuming Oct. 19 is regular season? So, if that is the case I would have saves a little more but I already have tickets for all but 2 of us and I am not crazy about booking a package b/c of the restrictions. anyway, now I have an excuse to go back before the year is up!!!! :dance3:

Thanks so much for posting this! I called today (with NO wait) and booked our 5 night vacation at POP with dining. This code saved me about $100 from our original date in September (We are now going in October).

:goodvibes

Okay here are some things I like about Pop: The bathroom has a nice shelf that runs above the sink. Its great to store your toiletries since the counter fills up fast. None of the All Stars have this shelf. The dresser at Pop is bigger with more drawer storage. The dresser is also wood, not the laminate stuff they use at the All Stars, it looks nicer and is more tasteful. The television at Pop is larger (25" vs. 20"). The buses at Pop don't share with any other resorts, however its a large resort so that about evens out. But at least once you reach Pop you don't have to travel anywhere else! I actually think Pop is not as loud as the All Stars as far as colors. The rooms seem a bit more low key in colors. Pop's icons are really cute. If you love Lady and the Tramp and Jungle Book you will be in heaven. Since those are two of my favorites I was. The food court has an indoor bar as well as the pool bar. All Stars only have the outdoor pool bar. The food court at Pop has some booths, I don't think the All Stars have anything but tables. None of this is critical but it can add up. Pop is much newer and fresher. Again, the All Stars are great and super clean but they are older. Pop does not typically get as many large, school groups. I don't know if there are big events scheduled for your dates but for instance when we stayed at Pop in April there were no groups. We stayed at ASMU later in that same trip (we ended up doing three resorts total, long story) there were several large groups of graduates (this was into May). The pool that night was a nightmare. They weren't bad kids, just too many of them. I had never experienced the dreaded large groups at an All Star resort, now I know what people mean about that.

As far as Sports, it has some really cute fun, sports theming with lots of Disney touches thrown in. My son loves sports so he was in hog heaven. My daughter preferred Music. Sports is the first resort picked up and dropped off on the All Star bus route, so thats nice. The All Stars are not as spread out as Pop, however even in the further out sections of Pop, you won't have a longer than five minute walk to anything. At any of the All Stars you have the perk of using any of the three food courts or pools. I have never hopped around but its nice to know you can do that to experience the different pools and theming. Of the four values I have stayed at, Pop was the cleanest, probably because its newer. But our room at Sports was super clean. Music was fine too but it seemed older and not as bright. I have equally good experiences with the staff and housekeeping at all of the values.

I hope this helps you! WDW trips have so many decisions to factor in. But honestly, to save $300 I would change in a minute and I'd do it quick before they run out of those code rates! Good luck!

My TA just emailed again. She has saved me $233 on my 10 day package at POP in December!
Gotta love Small World Vacations!

 :cheer2: :mickeyjum

I had to tell my TA about the deal. She only knew about the Visa one. To her credit, she jumped right on it. To get a discount, I'd have to switch from BCV to BWV. Rats! I don't want to switch. I've paid already so I guess I'll just suck it up. :furious:
