General Public Package Code for October 1 through December 23

Woo! Hoo! Took advantage of the latest code and was able to get the dining package and it only added $75 to the whole 5 day trip for both of us! ('course I don't know what we'll do with all that food )

I just tried and she told me no rooms at any Values were available for ZBG 12/2-12-8. She also tried to tell me the code was for 5 nights and we would have to break up our 6 night stay. But still there was nothing.

Woohoo!!! I just found this thread and thought what the heck - I'll call and find out if it changes anything. I received a savings of $263.00 for my trip 12/16-22 at the POP! I'm doing the happy dance!!!!

Just got off the phone w/Disney Reservations. We're staying at Pop from 12/19 - 12/27. The CM told me there were no standards available, but could book me preferred at a $200 savings, so I took it. She never mentioned the code being for only 5 nights...

I have mine up right now and in the invoice section it shows my original amount, my payments, and amount owed. And a Make Payment link. We have room, tickets, and air, but I would think they would still show you your balance no matter what you have!

I think I'll try again later...it seems to be the luck of the draw whether you get it the first try or not! I don't know if my dates are a problem, mousesavers mentioned possible blackout for 12/2-12/8.

Before I switched to the package I had a room-only reservation that I could view online but there was no "make a payment" option.

Now that I have a package I have the "make a payment" option available. Maybe it is just for packages.

We just went from staying off site (with three FREE nights) to staying onsite for the same price. Now those other free nights can be used for a quick weekend trip to the beach or something.

and boy did I need to be persistent and patient!

I was booking at midnight PST, 3am east for all my east coast friends. The website/booking engine was being very temperamental.

I booked via the link on the specials page on the website:

A couple times I got “engine is down”, a couple other times it was telling me everything is sold out. I was fairly sure that the resort was not totally sold out Oct 1-6 so when I got these errors I closed the page totally and started again. Refreshing does not work.

I've never looked into a package before, as I ahve an AP. I want to see if I can save $$ by doing the MYW discounted package, buying only 1 One Day Base Ticket. But we'll ahve a party of 2 adults and one child - can I do this only buying 1 ticket?

I'm sorry I am confused--- Can you call in the code if you already booked (I did through Disney ) ?? Do you have to use a "Visa Card"" ? 3 rd ? I have to pay by 9/1/06 do I call Disney 407 939-7675 or the place where you make the final Pmt 407 363-0029 (its the Walt Disney Travel Co. ) ????

I tried to use the discount for the week of Dec 2-10 at POP and the discount was not available for these dates. Don't know if they ran out of rooms available with this code or just aren't using any at all due to it being Pop Warner week. Waaaaa! Im bummed!!

It looks like they may have opened a few more rooms up, or some people have moved on, so if you're waiting to check on what you want this may be a good time. Last night POFQ I know was showing as full period (code or no code) and POR was full to code users. This morning POFQ is showing availability WITHOUT the code (still no code rooms availabile, but it's a start) and they told me there are now rooms available at POR with the code.

If I could get this code I was really contemplating upgrading to a moderate, but I decided what the heck, we can do more fun stuff with the $$$.

Our original package for 2 adults, 3 juniors in 2 rooms at POP for 7 nights; 8 day passes with hoppers & plus options and dining = $4,147 (AAA discount)

Package with code = $3,591 A savings of $556!!

So if you're being told no availability for what you want on the code, I don't know if they're lying to try to get you to book something more expensive, or if they're just mistaken, or if people are changing their ressies around so much that in that ten minute time period, a standard really did just become available, but you might want to keep trying, as it paid off for me!

The same thing happened to me! I called to book early Dec. at Pop and was told that only preferred were available. When I hesitated and stated that I really only needed standard, the CM told me to hold on and came back in less than 2 minutes with a standard room. Now I must admit my cynical mind immediately thought--Did this guy just try to hustle me? I mean, how can there be no standard rooms at all and then miraculously in less than 2 minutes there are? I know that Disney is a business, but I would be really dissapointed if they were lying (until questioned anyway) about what was available to try to make more money.

I was wondering if any of you guys have had the same experience. Do you think they could be lying? I guess that sounds naive, but come on, it Disney, they shouldn't lie!

No, people are literally switching that quickly. They are not trying to hustle you. For many resorts the ONLY rooms available are the cheapest ones with the codes and people with the most expensive rooms in the place are being turned away. For my dates, for example, I couldn't get a savannah room at AKL even if I wanted it, I'd HAVE to take a parking lot view.

I know what you mean, we're going the same time and I saved $395 yesterday. What a TOTAL BLESSING!

Just booked my solo trip for 12/13-17!

Pop Century, 4 nights, standard view, 1 day base ticket
Price: $289.73!
Savings off rack rates: $137.15

That works out to a room rate of $54.59/night including tax ($289.73 - 71.36 [price of a 1 day base ticket] ). That's a deal! Rack rate w/ tax is $88.88/night, so that's a 38.6% discount.

My origianl plan was to just do a 4 night room-only w/ AAA discount for $284.40. So, fo an additional $5.33, I am getting a one day base ticket.

I thought about the dining plan (total would have been $441.69), but I decided not to. I gained 4 lbs last time on a 4-night trip, and I have been working really hard to lose weight this year. Besides, I had already figured out how to eat well on the cheap, and it will be less that the DP, and I don't have to fret w/ the ADR's.
