General Public Package Code for October 1 through December 23

Disboarders I love you!!!! I don't check the boards everyday, but I did this morning and saw this thread!!!

My original package was:
POP 9 nts 10/27 -11/5
Magic Your Way w Dining
8 day Park Hoppers and Water Parks and more tickets
1 adult
1 13 yr old
1 12 yr old
originally quoted $2984.00
after ZBH code $2415.75
Savings: 568.00!

BUT!!!!! I changed the res to standard at POR for same as above and new package is $2919.84 so Moderate is $64.16 less expensive than I was originally planning on! :dance3: This is SO wonderful. I want to tell my sons who really wanted to stay at POR, but I'll try to surprise them.

Thank you to all of you for this information. You and WDW have really sprinkled the pixie dust our way and good luck to everyone else trying for the package! Thanks to my CM Reese! She was awesome.

I think I understand your question. It seems from reading everyone's posts that the discount portion of the package is only on the room, so it would probably not matter whether you added the dining with the package or afterward, as that part is not discounted either way.

How many people are going with you? That will help us to tell if you were quoted a good price or not.

Hope this helps!

I'm so darn excited! lol Just got off the phone with my AAA agent. She was able to upgrade us from Pop to POFQ!
Our dates are Dec 14-23rd (9 nights/10 days)
POFQ, standard room
2 adults, 2 kids (7 & 9)
9 day park hoppers
Dining Plan
And our total is $2, 836

Our original ressie was for Pop, all the same stuff, for $2, 574. So to upgrade it was only $260 more.

I was originally looking at AS Movies for December 11th for four nights at a standard room with passes (just park hopper option added). There would be 2 adults and 2 children. I originally had a rate of $1283 from the website.

I am now holding a reservation for AS Movies for December for five nights with a preferred room with passes (again only park hopper option). With the new general public code my new rate is $1275.

So with the code I got an extra night added to the reservation plus a preferred room now.

Thanks for all the help everyone.

Believe me...if it was any other time of year, I would cancel and rebook with Disney in a heartbeat..BUT it's Thanksgiving and I would loose all my ADR that I worked so hard to get! Thankgoodness at least we don't have to go through the TA for that! It was nice of your TA to give you her home number--I can't even get the MANAGER to call me back!!!!

You don't lose your ADR even if you cancel your trip. They still remain. I had a trip planned for August that I cancelled and I had to call back to cancel my CRT and other ADR's.

For those of you who are booking tickets and hotel with no dining and asssuming the ticket prices are not discounted what is the rate you are getting for the hotel per night?

For the All-Stars and Pop Century standard room it is roughly $49 before tax

Just got off the phone with the nicest CM - Jolene.
She checked the package with and with out dining and I chose without dining (because we like to be flexible) and I saved $230 over what I had been quoted a week ago for the same package. Paying $978 for 9 nights.
We are staying at POP from 12/8-12/17.
Jolene also told me that she had been putting in the codes all morning and nothing was coming up (available) and she was excited for me when she found that the code worked for these dates at POP.
So for those of you still trying - I am sending pixie dust your way!!!

Quick question, what time did you call to get POFQ? Every time I call they say nothing is available!

We have booked the BWI for 10/7 - 10/15 with an AAA rate. Called my AAA TA, he checked and said there is no availability for the week we are going at any of the Deluxes. I tried to call Disney myself, but they wouldn't give me any information. They said I must go through AAA. I would like to keep calling back every day to check, but I guess I can't because they know I have already booked through AAA.

When I priced the packages on line - the hotel was $79 and the tickets were discounted (as part of the package).

So it looks like that the hotel is $59 and the discounted tickets did not change.

?????? Just my take on it.

Well, I guess the code isn't any help to me. I had originally booked 1 night at ASMu 11/10 and 2 nights at WL 11/11 and 11/12 using the AAA rate. I called CRO with the code and she said, first off, all three nights would have to be at the same resort. So I said, OK, price all three nights at WL. Unfortunately that was a no go as she said all they had available on those dates were rooms in the villas. The room only portion would be $181 HIGHER than three nights at WL on the AAA rate and $486 higher than leaving my reservation alone with first night at ASMu and two nights at WL. I guess the WL fills up quickly due to its popularity, and the woman said that of course the code is only good when they have surplus availablity at a resort.

Odd, though, it seems there should be rooms available for the two nights I already have booked since I would be switching the room over from a AAA reservation to a CRO reservation, but it's still my room in either case. :confused3

CBR
12/7 - 12/11
MYW w/ dining and 5-day hoppers
Original total: $2374.40

New total with ZBH code: $2194.

Every penny counts! The only thing that bothers me is that we had a preferred room, but now they have us officially in a water-view room. They said there was no code availability for preferred buildings/rooms.

BUT, this is not a preference for us -- it is a necessity. My father is blind, and as long as we are in the closest building to the food court and bus stop, his guide dog can quickly learn the route from our room to these places... and then my father can go get his coffee himself, etc., which he really likes to be able to do. They still have all the special needs requests spelled out, but now they won't "guarantee" it. I doubt we'll have a problem -- they have always been so nice and willing to accomodate -- but it just makes me nervous. Being stuck in Trinidad South or something would not be do-able at all. :(

I'm going to see if there's a way to contact the Special Needs department directly. I sure don't think it's fair that we would have to lose the discount and pay more just so that my dad's needs can be met, you know? Hopefully I'm stressing over nothing!

Savings on the POFQ is 445.64, and only costing you about $91 to upgrade to a mod hotel----I think that is a great savings. And probably not going to get a better rate, sounds like a good deal to me!

It is definitely not discounting tickets, I used our discount to upgrade to 10 day hoppers with no expiration, and the CM specifically said there is no discount on the tix. (but hey, we have em for next time now.) we are staying CBR 12.2-12.8, value season, 2ad 2ch, and hotel portion I am figuring out i $99 per night plus tax. Saved us 40 a night! Not too bad, I won't complain over any savings!!

THIS is one of the many reasons I LOVE Magical Journeys! We've had POR booked for Oct. 21-28 since April. I still had a balance of $475 due by Sept. 5th....Melissa emailed me this morning...I saved $430!!! My balance is only $45 now!!! I don't have to do ANYTHING....MJ does it ALL....I love, love, love, 'em!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Every time a code comes out, MJ is ON TOP of it....and my discount is added...YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love them too. :)
I also got an email this morning.

Finally, I can get back to work. I've been doing nothing but stressing over the packages and hotels for our honeymoon for weeks! But I finally have it booked. I phoned this morning and upgraded our POR reservation to the Polynesian. We are staying in a garden view room (unless a bucket of pixie dust comes our way with an upgrade pixiedust: ). Here's the breakdown for those interested:

POR from 10/9 - 10/15 in King Room with Dining and 5-day Park hoppers
was a total of: $2137.88

Polynesian from 10/9 - 10/15 in Garden View with Dining and 5-day Park hoppers was a total of: $3447.44 before ZBH code, and $2839.88 after code, for a total savings of $607.56! So, for a little more than $100 a day, we go from a moderate to a monorail!

Thank you everyone for answering all of my silly questions, and listening to my rants while I stressed over the process. :thumbsup2

I LOVE the DIS!

I just called and made a reservation

12/2-12/10 at CSR King Bed, 7 day tickets with park hopper and dining.

According to the disney web site, rack rate for that package is 2507, and we got ours for 2147 so a savings of $360! I'm pretty excited :)
