General Public Package Code for October 1 through December 23

Hi Everyone,

I called at 12:30 EST and was on hold less than 10 minutes. Here's what I have:

Beach Club - Standard Room 6 nights, trip insurance, dining, park hopper for 6 days = $2894.48
That comes out to $308/night

They also had Beach Club Water View for $333.20.

I called this morning in hopes of applying the new discount code to my existing package reservation (12/21 - 12/27, ASMo, parkhopper tickets with dining). I was told "Nope, not unless you change resorts". Well, the CM didn't even ask what code I wanted to use (maybe she already had an idea, being the majority of phone calls were using this new code) So, long story short, I wasn't able to use the discount code because DD and DS have their hearts set on staying at ASMo again.

It is definitely not discounting tickets, I used our discount to upgrade to 10 day hoppers with no expiration, and the CM specifically said there is no discount on the tix. (but hey, we have em for next time now.) we are staying CBR 12.2-12.8, value season, 2ad 2ch, and hotel portion I am figuring out i $99 per night plus tax. Saved us 40 a night! Not too bad, I won't complain over any savings!!

Thanks for the info. I was wondering how much more a night it would be to stay at the moderates vs value. I guess I will stick with the $49 rate I was quoted and spend the extra on souveniers and food.

I am going to call when I get home today. Probably too late. I have Poly GV booked for 11/17-11-25 AAA rate of like $35 off rack. What are you guys getting off the Poly per night? I also already have tickets for 3 of us. I only need 1 Adult and 1 child 7 day hopper. What do you suggest?

Here's what I've learned so far from my phone calls to Disney reservations:

We had a 6-night ressie in Dec. at PO-R with AAA rate, no tickets: $743.00
Would be purchasing 5- 5 day base tickets: $1096.05
Total for rooms and tickets: $1839.95
If I switched to the package with 5-5 day base tickets, total is $1733.73

So we would have saved just over $100 with the Disney Visa package rate. We decided not to switch, just because switching to a package changes the payment and cancellation policy, and it wasn't worth it to us.

I also got a price at AKL. We would need 2 rooms, but my mom is coming so one of my kids could stay in her room. 6 nights in a standard room at AKL with 4-5 day base tickets was $1993.20. 6 nights in standard room at AKL with 1-5 day base ticket was $1353.87. 6 nights in standard room at AKL with 2 - 5 day base tickets was $1566.96. So the difference in adding an extra 5 day base ticket was $213.09, which discounts that ticket $6.30. The CM I spoke to did say the tickets were discounted slightly in the package.

However, I didn't change anything because I would really like to upgrade to WL, but nothing available - with AAA discount or Visa package. Wonder what's up in December at the WL??

SantiJB, I think this is a good deal. For only $173 you are upgrading to a great resort. I don't think you will be able to get any further discounts. Just your DDP and tickets alone are almost half of the package cost, so you are getting a good price on the room!

So ASMo is not participating in the codes? Or do you think CM meant ASMo had no other openings w/the code?

My TA said she had to change us from a standard to a preferred room to get us the discount. So we went from a Standard at 7day/6night ASMo w/5 day park hoppers plus dinning to a Perferred at 7day/6night ASMo w/5 day park hopper plus dinning. Our price difference is $100.98 in our favor. Now I'm happy to be saving $101, but I wonder if I should be saving more. I realize most that post on here are staying longer, and at mod or del hotels, and that's probably why everyone seems to be saving so much more. Could someone tell me how the discount works? Is it a certain percentage off your room or off your entire package?

Polynesian from 10/9 - 10/15 in Garden View with Dining and 5-day Park hoppers was a total of: $3447.44 before ZBH code, and $2839.88 after code, for a total savings of $607.56! So, for a little more than $100 a day, we go from a moderate to a monorail!

I'm trying to see if we should add the Dining Plan.

We have:
2 Adults + 1 Child (age: 9)
Polynesian, Regular Season (October), Garden View
5-Day ParkHopper Passes
NO Dining
Discounted Package Price: $2,911

So, the differences are we have a child's 5-Day PH and you don't but you have the dining and we don't. Our packages are different by only $71. If I take our package and back out $225 (approx. cost of a child's 5DPH) my package is $2,686. So now the difference is $154 and we only have the Dining Plan to cause the difference - unless I'm missing another piece.

ETA: I called Disney to see how much it would cost if I added the DDP to my Disney Visa package. The new package total would be $3,520. So, the dining part is not discounted. My package without dining is $2,911 + undiscounted DDP of $609 * = $3,520

Help! Hopefully this makes sense: I currently have a res. at Pop Dec. 3-9...6 day MYW dining pkg. w/ AAA at $1400. I called AAA to get my lady to check it w/ the new code, she's out until Monday, someone else called me back. She immediatly tells me the code is not available to the values...they are already cheap enough. Huh? I asked her to check on a mod. price for me, we might upgrade. She's calling back. I have little faith in her...I already argued w/ her symantics about what Pop is, she kept telling me I'm staying at an All Stars, I said I'm staying at Pop (wanting to make sure my ressie still said Pop and NOT All Stars), she finally agreed and said that they are all part of All Stars...NO, Pop is not, but I get her point, they are all Values.

At any rate, I called resservations myself just now, he said the code IS available for Pop, but since it's all booked he can't even check the price difference for me. There's got to be a way.

Now te other lady is going to call me back and tell me the mod. price and I'm goign to have to argue w/ her that it is available to values...why can't my lady be there? She's nice! Can anyone help w/ the price or anything?

I just called Disney again to inquire about the code, and was told that the only option would be is to change resorts (either ASMu or AS sports). I asked if they knew if any availability would show up in the near future and they answered that they had no idea. I really don't want to change resorts... I don't understand why the discount wouldn't apply to my existing reservation???

Momof2dizkids- it sounds like other people have been getting it without changing resorts? Maybe try again for a different CM.

I think I will call back in a little while - my emotions have been on a roller coaster so far today in hopes of getting this code applied. It would be a great surprise for DH to find out that I am "saving money" on this Christmas trip (DH is away for work). My new motto will be "hope for the best, expect the worst". I am hoping to save money, but, if not, I'm still going!!!

Life is good. I just saved $614.60 off my 10 night CSR MYWwithDining ressie from 10/12-10/22. I checked my reservation online while I was still on the phone with the CM, the $614.60 credit was already showing up before I even hung up the phone.

Saved $41.30 over my original AAA rate.
My AAA TA said she had no problem getting this done.

Okay, here's what I've got. Current ressie is: Oct. 7-13 ASMo preferred room for 2A +2C plus 7 day non-hoppers with dining plan added. Cost: $2130.92. Dreams Unlimited TA just emailed me that she could get same exact package deal for $1799 if we switched out of ASMo and moved to eith POP or ASsports. Don't really want to switch (kids want ASMO even with the Fantasia pool drama) but would like to get the $332 discount. Only other option she said was AKL for $556 more (than orig. $2130 price). So we could go to AKL for $2700 approx. but don't really want to spend.

My question is: should I take the $332 and go to another value (would we be happy at either with 7 and 4 yr old?) or stick to ASMO and not get the $ back? OR should I ask TA to keep trying for next few days for something else to open up? Comments?
