Hi, and joining in on the fun. Better late than never. Your girls are adorable and I have a lot of catching up to do only having read the first two pages so far. I saw lots of pics as I scrolled through so I'm excited to get reading and "traveling" along with you on your TR!
Read away! There will be a break in the action starting tomorrow, but we'll start a new report shortly after we get back and get reluctantly back into the real world again. Jill will go right back to work, and I will go straight into church camp and an extra part-time job, so it may take us a couple of weeks to get started on the new one.
I am glad you enjoy the pictures. As much as I wish I could operate a nice camera, I know I can't, so anything you see is with a point and shoot, and it's probably going to be blurry or have some other flaw.
Yayyyyyyyy for Bella and Sleeping Beauty!
Brooklynn's recital pics are so cute!! She looks like she was really into it and the costumes are so pretty!
I have no doubt you will all enjoy Ohana! But then again...it's my favorite dinner! MeMom, you must save room for that bread pudding if you are a bread pudding fan - I'm a little picky about it sometimes but the one there is the BEST I have ever had! The whole meal from start to finish is just delicious, but my favorite might just be the noodles.
The plans look great - I know it's a shorter trip than your usual summer ones but I hadn't realized you'll still have 5 full days there!
She was into it. All the girls loved the costumes and make-up and all the spinning around.
I don't think there is going to be one thing I won't like about the 'Ohana food, because I like everything you mentioned. Since it'll be July 4th, they'll add $3-4 to the price of every person, so I won't like that part.
I love those princess topiaries. (Are they still called topiaries when they're that gigantic?)
I can't wait to see if Bella will be more bold with the characters on this trip!
I am not a landscape expert, so I don't know if they get called something else after a certain size. Maybe our gardener friends can chime in.
We're hoping to see Rapunzel first thing Saturday morning, so that will be Bella's first character encounter of this trip.
Your pictures of the F&GF have me wistful....Epcot is SO beautiful during those weeks!!!! I just loved those pink flowering trees too.
Truly adorable. Thank you for sharing Jill!
For some reason I thought your October trip wasn't happening! So glad to hear it is!!!! So, it's just you and Brooklynn? That will be fantastic!!
I haven't seen those in a long time either. I didn't even realize they were gone! I know the resort gift shops sell a black Mickey head shaped plate (or at least I have seen them in past trips) for around $4 maybe? But that's as close as I remember.
Your plans look great! I'm very curious to hear about this event you and Jill might do... Also, Space Mountain for Brooklynn! WOW! She hasn't ridden it ever, right? She is a brave girl!!!
I remember there was a thread about the plates being taken away when they started cutting corners a few years back. I'm sure they cost more than just a regular paper plate, so that was a way to save a few pennies without any real issues.
The October trip got cancelled when Jill said she couldn't get off at that time. Then Anita and some others said they were going during my fall break, so it was decided that Brooklynn and I would take that
'MeMom and Me' trip we have talked about and hook up with them a time or two. Then Kay said she wanted to come with us and bring her granddaughter in the spring. I told her we wouldn't be taking a spring trip, so she worked it out so she can go in October.
I just found out yesterday that some of our cousins are going to go, too. Brandy works in the same school system as I do, so we have the same breaks. They were not going to go, but they suddenly decided they would. They just started going to WDW about three years ago, and they found that they really enjoyed it a lot more than they thought they would. Dawn, her daughter, Brandy, and Brandy's three boys will be the only ones going this time. We'll try to hook up with them for a swim time and/or in a park so I can hold the baby while they go ride something together. That always works out nicely for us when we get together and trade off kids/rides.
Brooklynn is talking big about going on Space Mountain, so we'll see. I was nervous the first time Drew rode, and he was a little older than her. Just knowing they are in that seat alone makes the grown-ups a little nervous. She may back out at the last minute, or she may come through it with flying colors. We shall see very soon!
