Sorry, I don't remember seeing the kids meals in the Mickey plates last year but I'll ask Lexi...she remembers everything!
I know I've seen Mickey plates at
Walmart. The paper plates with his picture, maybe you'll have to get those.
I havn't made any group plans for NYE yet, other than planning on meet up at the POLY beach later that evening.
I just figured I'd try for an 'Ohana ADR and then I would be right there.
I thought about the Luau but I read so many "not so good reviews" that I'll save that experience for another time.
1900 Park Fare sounds like a good choice too...you can just walk over from what I have read.
I'm sure you will enjoy 'Ohana and want to go back.
It's always fun to try something different and new.
The black plastic deep dishes with three sections are no longer in use at any of the places we've eaten. We'll still keep an eye out for whatever they might have in the way of plates, but Target is a good place for finding Disney dinnerware quite often.
We'll let you know what we're doing NYE - 'Ohana, Park Fare, or something new that we haven't tried - shortly after this trip, after we have time to check out 'Ohana. For the sake of convenience, I'd like to do a monorail resort, since we'll be going to Poly later.
The one I saw online was $9.99 but if they are sold out or you can't find it feel free to throw in a couple of the regular tote bags. I will pm you my address.
I will freely admit that I was bitten by the Disney bug when I was about 5 years old.
I'll take your information with me.
I believe the beginnings of my 'all things Disney' love started with the Mickey Mouse Club way back a long, long, looong time ago.
So I need a tentative plan for your trip. I always love knowing where you are headed each day.... so maybe before your last two sleeps in TN I can see one... please.
I'll tell you what I know and let Jill fill in the rest.
Friday - arrive at our DTD resort, go to DTD, not sure what else, early bedtime
Saturday - check into Pop, really early, Crystal Palace breakfast, try to see Rapunzel and Flynn,
Magic Kingdom for however long, back to Pop to put our stuff in our rooms, go to Wilderness Lodge for a DIS meet with jeremysdisneymom and Happydog, head to
Hollywood Studios for whatever we can get in and Fantasmic
Sunday -
Hollywood Studios, so we can ride Toy Story Midway Mania and see Ed (he only works on Sat. & Sun.),
Epcot in the afternoon for Garden Grill and whatever we can do at Epcot
Monday -
not sure, maybe
Animal Kingdom?, possibly
Epcot to see the special Voices of Liberty show, 'Ohana dinner and Poly beach for fireworks later with Katie, her family, and KristEn, and Dave and Kathy.
Tuesday -
not sure, maybe
Magic Kingdom, if we stay out late at Poly, we may sleep in a little
Wednesday - I think it is
Animal Kingdom day, try to meet Tinkergurl20 at Pop sometime in the afternoon
Thursday - probably another sweep through
Magic Kingdom, leave that evening
All of that is subject to change We have AP's and can go anywhere at any time. We're not locked in to anything. We want to make 'Ohana, for sure, but if Garden Grill day messes things up, we can easily do that another trip. We will go with the flow, as always, and we won't push much of anything. We've learned to enjoy the slower pace and more rest time. We'll swap out a little. Sometimes when they all go for a nap, I'll go on my walking adventures. If Jill and John want to go somewhere to eat or ride a couple of rides, I'll go to some things with the girls or hang out with them at the kiddie pool. We may do a little resort hopping, since we enjoy that. I told Jill about an event that she and I might do - and I've never seen anyone report about it, so we'll keep it a secret for now and tell you about it if we get to do it.
Bella has plans to ride the Carrousel about 97 million times. Brooklynn has plans to ride Space Mountain. Jill has plans to ride her favorite rides and get some R&R away from work. John has plans to eat. I just have plans to do whatever and enjoy my favorite place with some of my favorite people.
Jill, you can add to or take away from any of that.
