Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

Pat, I guess I should have checked the details myself before letting all the "excitement" around me get me all scared and nervous. I feel rather silly and embarrassed:headache: now.

No Worries. With all that is going on in the world, anything can happen at any time so I am glad it is something good and not something bad. :goodvibes

Poor Brooklynn! Alison was very scared of the automatic flushing toilets when she was younger. Very cool of the CM to give such nice goodies! Enjoyed spending some of my lunch hour in the MK! :goodvibes

You'll be happy to know that at lunch yesterday Poolrat was using her enabling lessons from Ms. Anita Wigd!

What a crowd at the Magic Kingdom. It was like that on that next Monday as well. I don't see how people stand summer crowds unless, like you, they go early and leave when the crowd comes in.

Did Brooklynn not get to stay with you over spring break? I guess you had too much house shuffling to do. My kids are at my parents house in LA. My son has never gone to stay before. They left yesterday. So far so good.

I love this picture. It is fantastic the way you can see parts of the three horse heads.

That's just what I told Brooklynn - they were nose to nose in a race. I asked her who she thought would win, and she said the one with flowers. :goodvibes She was all about the flowers that day.

Brooklyn looks so happy to be on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Still makes me sad that Toontown is gone but I am looking forward to the new area next year.

Congrats on your new kitchen!

She has ridden that thing so many times since she passed the height mark. It's probably her top favorite right now.

Yeah, Toontown not being there is a little sad, but I'm with you on being excited about all of the new stuff yet to come.

Thanks on the kitchen. I finally heard from the painter today. He'll be here first thing in the morning.

I could just feel myself there in this picture! I'm sure this sounds crazy to some folks, but I think I would really be missing out on a huge part of the Disney atmosphere without Disney transportation. I don't think I would ever want to drive to the parks. To me, the monorail, buses, boats, trains, etc. are part of what makes the experience fun. The first year that we went, we drove down but we never once used our car in 10 days except for the last day when we went to Seaworld. And I think it is just so much easier with kids too. With two little ones, I know Jill appreciates not having to even look at car seat buckles the whole time she is there!

We love the transportation, too. We always try to get in a boat ride and a monorail ride somewhere along the way.

We appreciate being carried around by someone else instead of driving, at least when the waits are not horrible. For a very few things, we get a cab. It just depends on the situation.

Another great update. You always take such cool pictures. Things I would never think of. Love it.
I think I'm really gonna miss ToonTown. I know I'm a little old, but I loved Mickey and Minnie's house.

I tried to get plenty of pictures of the details in the Toontown houses before they were gone. It'll be fun to look back on them.

I am glad you enjoy the pictures. I'm sure I get some crazy looks from people walking by when I take some of them.

Boy am I late to the party! Darn research paper has been keeping me off the DIS. But I'm here and off to catch up!

I did two classes the last two springs. They take up a lot of time!
We're glad to have you around whenever you can be. :thumbsup2

The train is definately on my list for our next trip! Can you see much through the mesh walls around the expansion area? I saw a video someone had taken not too long ago and you could see some of it. I love your picture of the carousel horse!

We could see a lot of construction equipment. It probably looks bad back there right now, but wonderful things are yet to come

All caught up! Whoa, the crowds were huge!

Loving the 40th merchandise...need to be saving my pennies!!!

Hannah and Owen will be so fun on your next trip. Wonder if Hannah will like the same rides Brooklynn does?

We were at MK on Sat too. I would say from 3:00-4:00, then dinner at Chef Mickeys, then back at MK from a little of the evening (I think). Wow - my memory is bad. I do know we swam that night after Chef Mickeys so maybe we didn't go back to MK. Our friends from Jacksonville were with us for Sat and Sun.

One day runs into another sometime in our Disney trip memories. I am glad to have the pictures to remember it all by.

I hope you had fun with your Florida friends. Are they Disney nuts at all?

Like Pat said, no problem. Always better to be aware and cautious. We're all glad you're safe. :)

The pic of Brooklynn on Big Thunder is so cute!! She looks so happy.

I agree with RinkyTinky-that pic of the front of MK-it feels like you are right there. Cannot wait for May!!

I've got my Disradio on & dissing at home on my lunch hour. Right now I am listening to the music from Illuminations.

I, too, have my Disney music playing in the background as I am playing Musical House. This place is a sight, but it is getting better by the hour. One of Drew's buddies snagged a rocking chair and on old table for his apartment when he was here earlier, so that's two less things I have to move anywhere again.

Whenever I hear AK music playing, I can totally picture myself walking under all the lush greenery eating a strawberry popsicle. Aaaahhh, to be there now! Come on, July 2nd! :cool1:

Miss Anita Wigd would be proud of a star student.
What did Pat book now?

Since I had to work Monday, Jill would have had to bring her back up here. I needed to be here this week to move a thousand things, and I thought the painter was coming by Wed. It was better for us to just postpone it until school is out. She can stay with me for a few days in June - maybe Vacation Bible School week. I sure did miss getting to have that time with her, though. I've talked to her on the phone a couple of times, but I was looking forward to some Disney movies and popsicles with my favorite four year old.

We took the boat to Wilderness Lodge.

If I did this right, we will have a movie here.
Click on the picture for a 43 second boat ride leaving the Magic Kingdom dock.

Jill was up on the porch in a rocking chair. Kay didn't remember being at this resort, but I'm positive she went when we took one of our 'Jill was pregnant and couldn't go' trips. She thought it was beautiful, anyway.

Such a beautiful place to sit and listen to the water flow by.

Soon after we arrived, Trent and Tanya showed up. They had been stuck in traffic somewhere, and he was starved.

First, though, he had to harrass the children.

I can't remember at what point we were sitting on the balcony when Christine and her mom came by. I don't remember if Trent was there yet, or not. We had a great visit with them. They were having a fun mother-daughter trip. The girls played with some other kids running around and around the chairs. One of the other moms started saying Red Light, Green Light, and they had fun with that. When she stopped, Bella ran around once, and when no one called anything, she called out 'Geen Yight' herself, and ran on. Christine and her mom were headed to Chef Mickey's for dinner that night, so when we said our goodbyes we didn't even think to take pictures. I texted her the next day and told her we totally missed that, and she said she thought about it, too, after they left. We'll have to remember that for next time.

We needed to throw some coins in the magic fountain.

IMG_0626.jpg

We made a couple of specific wishes and then pretty much wished for everyone to have the babies and jobs and anything else that they wanted.

After that, we made our way down the ramp to Roaring Fork for food.

Here's some of it.

IMG_0630.jpg

It was a beautiful night, so we sat outside and just enjoyed family time.

After food, we went back up to the lobby.

I made a quick run through here,

while the others 'vegged out' here.

We feel very much at home in this place.

It was back to Pop for nighty-night, but I don't remember what method of transportation we took to get there. That might have been the night we happened up the cab that was unloading and asked him if he had a spot to take us to Pop. Was it, Jill?

You'll be happy to know that at lunch yesterday Poolrat was using her enabling lessons from Ms. Anita Wigd!

Miss Anita Wigd would be proud of a star student.
What did Pat book now?

I haven't booked anything more. :lmao: I was/ still am trying to convince jillyb to join us for NYE. We could share a room at POP since I do have that booked and it could be her birthday present from DH. I did not think this up alone you know. :rolleyes1

What a nice relaxing time at WL. Did Trent maybe take you back to POP??? How did he get there?

*sigh* MeMom, I just wish I could jump in your pics! Sitting in the WL lobby sounds nice right about now. :cloud9:

Aw, I love the pics of Trent with the girls. You can really tell they love each other.

Roaring Forks is pretty good! We used to eat lunch there all the time.

The picture of the mesh wall around ToonTown brought tears to my eyes. I am excited about the expansion but it makes me a little sad. ToonTown holds such fond memories of my little guys.

I think maybe we swiped a cab that night, but Jill will remember. Trent drove, but he had an obligation the next morning, so they left Disney property that night.

Come on down, jillyb, and join the NYE fun! :cool1:

Roaring Fork was so crowded, though, and they had to wait a little while to get the food.

It was beautiful sitting up on that balcony.

Yep, it was a fun place!

Videos are loaded, so if you want to go back in time, here they are.

First up, Magical Express.

Then a quick flash of the construction work going on at Art of Animation when I realized you could see it.

Our ride on the Carrousel.
Brooklynn wasn't waving, and Kay was less than thrilled about riding a baby ride.

And three little snippets from Big Thunder.

Okay, we're caught up on the videos now. Hope you enjoyed some 'real' Disney magic instead of just pictures.

Love the videos...I feel the magic and I want to be there right now! :thumbsup2

What a beautiful video on the boat of the palm trees swaying infront of that gorgeous colored sky.

Do you know that I've never been to WL..so I always enjoy all of your pics from there.

Hmmmn...maybe we should try Roaring Forks in September.
I need to go check out the menu.

I'm going to make an ADR for Whispering Canyon...just in case we decide to do the regular DP instead of QS.
I'm still on the fence with that decision.

It must make you so happy to watch Trent with the girls...he is so good with them.

I bet it was a great evening just hanging out and catching up.

Love the videos:thumbsup2 Aaahhh that one of the palm trees with the sunset on the way to WL:cloud9: I want to be there RIGHT NOW!!

So cute of Bella saying "Geen Yight". When I saw the title of the TR I thought it was a Bella saying somewhere along the way.:cutie:

Yay you have a painter arriving tomorrow!!:yay:

The adventure of getting to the restaurant was part of the fun of the evening, though, wasn't it?

Glad it worked out for you to see MSEP. :)

Yes it was :rotfl: Especially with Kazin in the car ;) Josh, Kazin, and I were all in the back seat, with Josh in the middle. He was singing some random song he made up all the way there. Any time Josh leaned forward, Kazin looked at me from behind Josh's back and said "Hi Christine!" :lovestruc It was the first time he's matched my face to my name. He says my name but usually Josh will say something like "say hi to Christine." But yesterday he said it on his own :) And he kept pointing to Josh and said "This is Daddy" and pointing to Josh's various body parts. "Daddy's nose," "Daddy's head," etc. :rotfl:

I have almost that exact same picture

I can't remember at what point we were sitting on the balcony when Christine and her mom came by. I don't remember if Trent was there yet, or not. We had a great visit with them. It was before Trent got there unfortunately! I would've loved to meet him but we didn't want to miss our reservation. But that was a very fun DIS meet :goodvibes I wish we had remembered the picture! I can't believe we all forgot :rotfl:

Aww the pics of Trent and the girls are sweet. I enjoyed watching the videos, especially the boat ride to WL. For my next trip to WDW I am going to try and make it at least 6-7 days, so I can do more resort hopping and finally visit WL.

Great update MeMom! I love not only seeing your great pictures, but the videos with the sounds makes it almost feel like your there.

Such a beautiful place to sit and listen to the water flow by.

just over six months.....:hourglass

 So cute!

That fountain will always hold a special place in my heart!

Oh, and I forgot to quote it but the picture of the girls sleeping in their strollers made me saw "awwwwww" out loud. :goodvibes

I love these TR's....I came home from work and felt like I came home and went to MK and WL! I really need to head to WL on the next trip! I haven't been there in ages (except for lunch on the Backstage Magic tour last April but there was no time to wander) and I want everything you photographed in the gift shop! I could also make a few wishes in the lucky fountain and rub Humphrey's lucky nose! I'm glad you guys were able to have a nice family night together!:goodvibes

I also hope you don't mind me putting this in here but if you guys could say some prayers for my dad, I'd really appreciate it. I got news on sunday that he is very ill with Cancer which has already metastasized to many places and they aren't sure how long he has left, and today was his birthday so its a little rough here. Thank you!!!

Your Dad will be in my thoughts and prayers. If you need someone to talk to about it, I've been there...:hug::hug:

Your pictures really make me feel as though I am there. I just got home early this evening and I'm already sad. I think i'm going to price out a trip for Creighton's birthday. He is a halloween baby and I think that MNSSHP is just fitting.

Bella is too cute with her "geen yight". How old is she now?

Poor Brooklynn and her toilet incident. But good going on the all the goodies you received!

All caught up! OMG poor Brooklynn! It sounds like she handled the toilet incident like a champ :thumbsup2 I hate the turbo flushers too, they always flush too quickly!

All the flowers inside and outside the MK look amazing, even though there's so much construction going on.

What a lovely family night at the WL. Definitely one of the most beautiful Disney resorts. I'm going to have a few wishes to make when we visit there in June! (none baby related lol)

Hope Aunt Joan is getting better!!

We haven't been over to WL for a while although we always find time to ride the boat to Ft W for some quiet time. I've popped WL onto my list for August because I read somewhere there's a trail we can take between the two?

Hey there

Loving the shopping pictures - so tempted to go online and buy heaps of things but the credit card would not appreciate it!!!

The pics of those two beautiful girls sound asleep in their strollers is just gorgeous - dreaming about their lovely day and dinner with Trent.

Hows Aunty Joan - hope she is doing okay.
