Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

I'm here at work on my dinner break and I wanted to join in on the 3 week dance....
:dance3: ....:dance3:....:dance3:!!!!

You must be sooo excitted too!

almost time to get those suitcases out and collecting up your stuff to take with you....:thumbsup2

I believe Brooklynn will try it, she is a brave little girl. :goodvibes

Do you ever look at the Orlando Magazine site? I just saw the new Little Mermaid attraction that opened at Disneyland.
It will be very similar to the one they are building in Fantasyland.

Hey All!!! I'm behind as usual, so I don't know if this has been posted......but I just saw that ticket prices are going up tomorrow, instead of the usual Aug. price increase!!!!!

Actually, I was off a day! They are going up Sun. June 12!! Sorry!

3 weeks! I would be bursting with excitement! I'm already ready to pack and I still have over 3 months to wait! You guys are so lucky!

last night I watched Summer Magic and Pollyanna....I think tonight it will be the Parent Trap! I love Ms. Mills :) Follow Me Boys was one my mum enjoyed watching...she always had a keen eye for Kurt Russell! ;) I might have to watch Swiss Family Robinson this weekend too - for some reason that movie and Pollyanna go together in my brain....

Wow! Time really does fly. 3 weeks til you trip?!?! :woohoo:

Count me among those enjoying the shopping pics. I think the Poly has my favorite resort shops. :thumbsup2. They seem to have just the right blend of general and resort- specific stuff. And i love all the Tiki decorations.

Would you believe i havent seen (or heard of :scared1:) Summer Magic. Sounds like I would love it so its on my list for this summer. :)

CanadianWDWfan- so sorry to hear that your mom was injured, but glad to hear she is on the mend. I have always been an awful bike rider, and have more than a few scars to prove it, so I can sympathize with bike injuries!

I'm also happy to hear that Baby O is still doing well. What a blessing that they are able to stay at the hospital and be close by at all times. When Everett was born he was in the NICU for 10 days and I was so thankful that I was able to stay. The hospital had a few rooms dedicated for NICU parents, and even though I was discharged, I could still stay with him. It really made all the difference in an already stressful and scary experience.

I love your shopping pictures Memom! I almost bought the Snow White mug that says "Sometimes I'm a total princess", and I had picked it up before I realized it had another side. I don't really like the Evil queen so I didn't end up buying it, but the Princess comment made me laugh out loud!

After all the Summer Magic talk, I caved and ordered a copy of that and Follow Me, Boys! with Fred MacMurray and that cute little Kurt Russell! I'm pretty excited about seeing them both again. Somewhere in the universe, I have a copied from TV VHS of Summer Magic, but I'd never be able to find it. It's probably in the attic in a box somewhere.

I have Follow Me Boys too. Kurt Russell was a little cutie. Another old one that I like is The Happiest Millionaire. When I was growing up my parents were very strict with what we watched on tv and we used to watch a lot of old movies especially the Disney ones. I have always loved them and I have slowly been buying some of the ones we used to watch all the time. So far I have all of the old Herbie movies, Summer Magic, Parent Trap, Davy Crockett, Pollyanna, Swiss Family Robinson, So Dear To My Heart, Old Yeller, and Johnny Tremain.

I still cannot watch Old Yeller it is too sad. Johnny Tremain is my favorite movie to watch on the 4th of July. It always reminds me of Liberty Square at Disney and the tree.

I've never seen (nor heard of) Summer Magic...can't wait to see it- Maybe tomorrow night!

I love the mugs...so many choices, which is good for me. If I can't make a decision, I spend less money!

I've never seen Summer Magic but one of the songs from the movie is on one of the Disney music vhs we have so after all this talk I just had to order it. I also ordered In Search of the Castaways. I sort of remember watching this when I was very young.

MeMom your such and enabler, I think you've been taking lessons from Anita.

Speaking of mugs -- I was blessed enough to have my dear friend Cathy visit this week, all the way from Alaska. Last year, we had her sweet DD join us at WDW for a whole wonderful week. I sent her home with a present for her mama, a Minnie mug to match my favorite one I use at home. So this week, Cathy was tickled that my Minnie became hers for her visit. And I was tickled to hear that her Minnie is her constant companion at school. Keeps her tea hot a good long while. Her students all know that mug means a long lecture is in store!

Summer Magic is a fun movie, but then I love all the Hayley Mills movies by Disney. With all the talk about Summer Magic, I might need to view the DVD tonight.

I also have on DVD Yours, Mine, and Ours, and Follow me Boys. This maybe the good old days of movies weekend.

Good new my Mama was able to go home from rehab today. The first thing she did was make an appointment to get her hair fixed. Starting Monday she will be going to outpatient rehab 3 days a week.

I know! When I went to Amazon to order it, I started looking at all of those old movies, and I wanted a bunch of them! Maybe in a few months I can order Yours, Mine, and Ours. That is an all-time favorite of mine. It is no secret that I wanted a big family, so I loved that movie.

I am glad to hear about your mom. I know your dad is so happy to have her back where she belongs, and it has got to be easier on all of you now. Getting out to get her hair done will feel good for her. :)

It is possible that Jill and I talk about the trip every day, as if we have not been in a very long time. :rolleyes1 It just never gets old for us.

I have seen a little of that. I haven't checked it out lately, though. Since I am out of school and have time, I will do that. Thanks for the information. Brooklynn is going to love this ride!

How is your mom today?

Actually, I was off a day! They are going up Sun. June 12!! Sorry!

Your information set off a flurry of activity yesterday, which ended up being a good thing, because Jill was able to work out some kinks that would have been hard to work out in three weeks.

I wish they would have waited until the end of the summer to increase prices, but financially, I'm sure it makes more sense to do it now when the crowds are arriving. I don't think it's going to be enough to stop anyone from going on, so they're going to make a good bit more money than they would have if they had waited. With all of the new stuff going on, I'm not too upset about paying a few more dollars, though.

I like all the Hayley Mills movies, too. I hope there is not a book out there somewhere where she tells about what a miserable life she led as she did them. That always takes the enjoyment out of things past for me. Like some TV show I enjoyed (like Partridge Family, Three's Company, Brady Bunch, etc.) - I would later read that the actors hated each other and stayed on drugs and drinking binges to get through it and such. Kind puts a bitter taste on things for me.

Kurt Russell - he was so cute! Wonder what he looks like these days? The last time I saw him, several years ago, he was still looking pretty good to me. ;) I need to Google him and see how he is holding up, just in case he ever gets tired of Goldie. :goodvibes

Yep, you should see Summer Magic. I bet you would enjoy it.

I'll get plenty more Poly shopping pictures on July 4th.

Three weeks from right now, we will be there!

So you need a Snow White mug with just the sweet side and no evil side? We will be on the lookout for that. :thumbsup2 Snow White is one of Bella's favorites.

Fred MacMurray, Kurt Russell, Hayley Mills - I grew up watching all of those movies. I'd love to have them all. Pollyanna is a definite favorite. I have that one on VHS only. I need to have a movie fest with Brooklynn and introduce her to all of these.

I still cannot watch Old Yeller it is too sad. Johnny Tremain is my favorite movie to watch on the 4th of July. It always reminds me of Liberty Square at Disney and the tree.

I saw Johnny Tremain in a History class when I was living in St. Pete. I thought it was awesome. I probably thought that moreso because we got to spend the whole class time watching a movie. That was a very rare treat in those days.

I've never seen (nor heard of) Summer Magic...can't wait to see it- Maybe tomorrow night!

I love the mugs...so many choices, which is good for me. If I can't make a decision, I spend less money!

I am one of the world's worst decision makers. I walk around with stuff all the time and then put it back on the shelf before I leave the store. Jill makes fun of me.

Let us know what you think of the movie. :)

I've never seen Summer Magic but one of the songs from the movie is on one of the Disney music vhs we have so after all this talk I just had to order it. I also ordered In Search of the Castaways. I sort of remember watching this when I was very young.

I didn't mean to start anything, but there is a possibility that Summer Magic just experienced a new revival on youtube and by mail order!

Speaking of Anita - she is down to her last leg of this Disney trip. She said it has been the most awesome trip ever! We hope to be seeing them Thursday evening as they make their way back home.

It's fun to think of your friend using her mug. Drew is not a Disney person by any means, but I think it is cute that he uses his mugs all the time.

That's nice that the daughter got to go to WDW with you!

Let's cross the street.
I think there is shopping on that side, too. :goodvibes

I'll take the ones with pecans!

I need to get this placemat. It's a cheap souvenir that could show up at some of our Disney parties.

While I was taking these pictures, Kay felt the need to explain to the people around her what I was doing.
I think she might have been a bit embarrassed. :upsidedow
I pretended I didn't hear her,
but it was pretty funny to hear her tell these total strangers (who did not care) all about the 'internet things' we do.

Oh my...this is goodness!

IMG_1640.jpg

And all mine, too. :cool2:

Do we like parades?

Yes, we do.

IMG_1641.jpg

That's Jill's 'Yes, we do' expression.

As you can see, Bella is totally enthralled with it. She seems to really be connecting with the whole Disney World experience this time, and we are hoping maybe this will be the trip where she takes to the characters.

IMG_1642.jpg

I love watching my daughter be a mommy. :lovestruc

IMG_1643.jpg

IMG_1644.jpg

The little spriglets in the hair (Bella calls them 'tigtails') are all mussed up now. Look at that sweet little face.

IMG_1647.jpg

I am so, so, so excited about being in this magical place again with my girls! I have enjoyed getting the texts and pictures from those who have been down in the past few weeks. As I picture them there, and as I listen to Soarin' music as I type right now, I am ready to pack my suitcase and go sit in Jill's driveway until it is time to go! :car:

Yum, yum.. I had that same pretzel on our trip.

I love all the Magic Kingdom merchandise. I debated on getting the mug, then once I decided I wanted it we never made it back. Luckily they had it in the MCO Disney store. It is a bit big to drink from so it is going to be used in a place of our Disney change jar.

Bella is too cute watching the parade. I'm sure the answer is here somewhere, how old was she on this trip?

Looking at all the yummy treats reminds me that I'm hungry! :rotfl: I'm waiting on Hannah to wake up, we had a big night at the local fair so she was tired. I'm thinking brunch this morning! But that fudge is calling to me!

Bella looks so sweet enjoying with the parade.

Hey MeMom! I just got caught up! Whew...it's only been 8 days since we lost Denny's Mom but it seems like a it's been a month since I've been here. Since we live closest to her(a two mintue walk) it has been up to me(Denny can't do it yet) to make sure everything at her house is taken care of. She had 5 grown kids, 14 grandkids and 10 great grandkids with 2 on the way. She collected cups/mugs so everytime someone would take a trip somewhere she would request a cup/mug. Of course you know where the ones we got her came from. LOL She left a list with everyone's name on it and what she wanted them to have and it said also any cups anyone had given her. We were the only ones who hadn't been to get our stuff so I went last night and got the things. There on her shevles were the Mickey Mouse, Disney, and Florida cups from us. The last one we got her was in October when we took Ty for his first trip. It has Grandma written on the handle. It is so sad because everytime I go in to water her plants or put her mail in the house Ty goes from room to room calling for Grandma.

Okay enough sad stuff. July will be here before you know it so pack those bags and sit in front of Jills until time to go. I bet she might let you sit inside in the cool air and play with 2 cute little blondes.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I love the "do we love parades? Yes we do!" picture of Jill and Bella! Their expressions are almost identical! Super cute! And now I want some chocolate....:) But no pecans or peanuts for me! Just plain milk chocolate for me!

I like all the Hayley Mills movies, too. I hope there is not a book out there somewhere where she tells about what a miserable life she led as she did them. I don't know if Hayley Mills ever wrote a book (I'll have to look it up) but I understand what you mean. Sometimes you find out things about people that you would rather have not known and it just spoils things. I don't recall ever hearing anything like that about her though. Julie Andrews' book was lovely and I'm just about to pick up her co-star's (which the Dis blocks out his name!) from the library!

Kurt Russell looks pretty much the same to me (only older). We often see pictures of him in our papers since he and Goldie Hawn have a cottage up in Muskoka (about 4 or 5 hours north of me in London). If he ever got tired of Goldie, you and my mum could wait in the line of women together!:rotfl:

Kurt and Goldie were both in the Disney Movie "The One And Only, Genuine, Original Family Band". It is a cute movie if you have never seen it. Kurt is about 15 and is a member of the family that the movie is about. Goldie is early 20's and the other girl in the movie romance. She is only in one or two scenes, but knowing they are together now you really notice the age difference. I believe this was pre Laugh In for Goldie.

Oh how I've missed this TR and all of your family's wonderful adventures...school's FINALLY out this week so I can play catch up! :goodvibes Sorry for being MIA for awhile...life has been a bit crazy!

Very cute placemat!! I think that should definitely come home with you. I found a Buzz and Woody place mat at the dollar store last week and changed out Ziggy's food/water (yes they are Disney bowls ) place mat. I think he likes it ;)
Love Bella's parade expression :goodvibes I can't wait to take my little great nephew Hank down for his first trip....he is only 9 months old so I have a bit of time yet:rolleyes1 I try to always make sure he is surrounded in Disney happiness when I am around him ;)

 Such a good Memom! ( I say that to my mom too--she's my girls' Memom).

I am ready to pack my suitcase and go sit in Jill's driveway until it is time to go! :car:

I bet that would confuse the girls and Jill would get a good laugh! :lmao:
