Great pictures of the Poly!!! I LOVE that resort & am determined to stay there someday!!! I hope that we can find some spare time in September to just walk around the resort or sit on the beach. We have an ADR at 2:30 at Kona Cafe before heading over to MK for MNSSHP! Instead of heading over right at 4pm, I'm thinking we might spend some much needed relaxation time at the Poly!!!

Out of all the gift shops, I think that one is my favorite & I've never even been there!!!

I love the tropical resorts as well!!! They are my absolute favorite! When I go on vacation, I want to experience the tropical feel & there are so many Disney resorts that can do exactly that!!! I loved Caribbean Beach last year & can't wait for the Beach Club this year! Hopefully the Poly can fit into our budget at some point, if even for just a night or two!

Soooo glad to hear that Baby O is doing better!!!! I'm also glad that the parents are able to stay close by. I'm sure it is very hard on them but being close to their baby will be more comforting at this difficult time! I will definitely continue to keep them in my thoughts & prayers!!!

I have one packet of those. I know I have the little Donald that's in this picture. They've apparently been selling those for a long time because I was 9 years old when I got it. I don't know what happened to the rest of the packet but Donald is on my nightstand


I finished my last exam yesterday I had graduation rehearsal today and got my cap and gown. I have one more rehearsal tomorrow morning. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that the rain in the forecast for sunday goes away! I don't want graduation to be moved into the gym! We rehearsed in there today and it was sooo hot. It would be a lot worse on sunday when we're all in our caps and gowns and there are over 1200 people in there

Hi all! Back from Sam's Club where I got some munchies for our road trip. We leave July 2nd and are meeting MeMom, Jill and crew at O'Hana for an awesome meal & fireworks on the 4th!!!

I also got Disney gift cards there!!! A $100 gift card is $98 PLUS you get a $10 Disney Shopping card with each $100. I'm using them for our O'Hana meal plus my Disney shopping. I think it's a pretty great deal to spend $298 and have $330 worth of Disney dollars to spend!!! Plus, that also helps budget, as that's my O'Hana meal plus my mad money at DTD.

Be sure to check your gift cards carefully. When we bought one at Sam's, the bonus $10 one was only good at the Disney store or online. Not usable for tickets, rooms, etc. Make sure you can use it where you want to. Maybe okay for world of Disney...

Thanks! I did read that; the $100 card is a generic, all purpose one and the $10 does say just Disney Shopping. Of course I looked online last night at DisneyStore.com and found a few things. So I'll still have the catch-all $100 ones for our meal. Thanks for the heads up, though!

Hi there! Are you enjoying your first week of summer? I think I remember reading that you had one workshop day but I hope you've gotten some rest and fun in on the other days. Tomorrow is our last full Friday. We have two whole days and three half days with the kids next week. Then two more workdays. I loved those mugs you got in the parks. I will be on the look out for those. Loved your Poly beach pictures. I sure wish they would make some DVC rooms there. Seems like it would be easy to do since they have the separate longhouses. I will have to settle knowing that in 13 days I will be eating at 'Ohana and perhaps sitting on that very beach myself.

I love shopping pictures, and the best part is looking is free.

I love to Disney park shop through pictures and never have to open my purse.

Oh my! I see so much I would love to have, but I think I'll have to settle for just pictures.

Taking the pictures gives me the chance to think about my purchases before I make them. Even while we are still down there, I can scroll back through the pictures at night and decide if I really want to go back and get something or not.

I love shopping pictures! The mugs with the little spoons are neat.

They are cute. I was trying to decide if I was going to get Drew another mug this time. He uses the ones he has almost every day. I ended up not getting him one.

I need to look back at my pictures, but we may have gone to the Poly Beach close to the same time as you. It would have been fun to have a surprise meeting with you and some of your crew. Abby just adores Brooklyn

I'm sure the girls will enjoy getting to have some more Opry Mills meets when that opens back up. Brooklynn always enjoys spending time with her special DIS friends.

It takes a while to recuperate from a trip. I sure enjoyed getting the pictures and mentally transporting myself to where you were at that time.

I love those candy bars but I know I would never eat them because I wouldn't want to mess up the wrappers.

Slide chocolate out. Eat. Slide wrapper back in and fluff up a little. Set on hutch shelf beside Chef Mickey and other WDW food products that I have kept, such as an empty Mickeyroni box, empty cocoa tins.....

That's how I'd end up keeping the wrapper, because they are too cute to toss away!

I love the Disney assortment of chocolate. Oooh and I like those mugs too.

The chocolate would make a good souvenir for people who don't care so much for Mickey stuff or items with WDW on them. For instance, Drew would be happy with the chocolate, and I would be happy with the leftover wrappers.

There are so many facts about the Main Street windows, as well as the ones in Hollywood Studios. Very interesting to true Disney fans like us.

Arrgh! I've been craving a Dole Whip for days now, ever since the relaxing-on-the-beach update. My favorite Poly beach lounging includes Wishes + Dole Whip. Then your fun Bou-Tiki pics reminded me of my favorite treat again. You were sooo close! My little addiction is why I primarily window-shop at Poly: Can't go in when I'm always dripping pineapple slush. At least it's easier on the pocketbook that way.

Also, glad to hear the good news about tiny Baby O. We're all pulling for that family.

I like Dole Whips, but I like rootbeer floats better, so I usually opt for those. A Dole Whip is a cooling, refreshing tropical treat, though, and would go perfectly with an evening at the Poly beach.

We hope to hear of the continuing progress of that baby!

I'm tired this morning, I really could use a cheery pick me up.

I spent last evening until 10:30pm at the hospital emergency with my DMom.
She is okay, thankfully.
She was riding Lexi's bike down a hill and the brakes locked up causing her to go over the handle bars face into the cement.
Luckily a neighbour walking her dog saw her fall and came to her.
She had a huge bump on her head, scraped knee and she thought she broke her arm.
I came home from work imediately and took her to the hospital.
After an xray they couldn't find anything broken so we were relieved for that.
Went home with some pain meds and she is wearing a sling for the time being.
Could have been alot worse.

FRIENDS THIS IS A REMINDER TO ALWAYS WEAR A BIKE HELMET!!!!

I had to come in very very early this morning to finish the work I left behind yesterday when I left.
So with little sleep I will trudge through the day....oh I long to be in the happiest place on earth.

Sorry about your mom's accident. I hope she is feeling better, but I bet she is so sore!!! I think it's great that she was out riding a bike, though. I'd love to do that, but I'd need a nice wide seat.

I love all of those mugs especially the first one that you took for Dawn. I didn't find that one when we were there in April. Although, we weren't very serious about shopping this last trip.
I will have to rectify that in October!

There are some cute clothes in there - things you could go out in and not just the typical Disney t-shirts.

Our Poly stay will be a nice treat at the end of a Pop stay one of these days, most likely. We will think we are pretty fancy stuff for a couple of days. As for Caribbean Beach, Jill and John stayed there on their honeymoon, so they have already checked that one off of their resort list. That is one we might be able to do a full stay at on one of our shorter trips. The girls would love the pool!

I ordered a copy, since I have no idea where my taped-from-TV-a-hundred-years-ago copy might be. It will be here next week, and I will very much enjoy seeing it again. Another movie I would love to see from the past is Yours, Mine, and Ours.

I have gotten a lot done on the homefront this week. I need to go to Kroger, but I keep thinking I'm going to eat these cupboards down a bit first and try not to go until I really, really have to. I have made a lot fo progress in cleaning the attic.

After all the Summer Magic talk, I caved and ordered a copy of that and Follow Me, Boys! with Fred MacMurray and that cute little Kurt Russell! I'm pretty excited about seeing them both again. Somewhere in the universe, I have a copied from TV VHS of Summer Magic, but I'd never be able to find it. It's probably in the attic in a box somewhere.

One night back at our hotel DH and DD presently me with a gift that they had found in a store that day. They had bought me the Villians mug. They claimed it was b/c I tend to always like the bad guys, but I still wasn't sure how to feel about it. Caitlin loves to tell me I am mean all the time and I am sure she thought the mug was fitting. Oh well, it's a nice mug and it holds my coffee.

Three weeks from now, we will be somewhere on the road. If Jill gets the whole day off and doesn't have to go in at all, even for a couple of hours to open, then we will be hitting the road waaaay early. We could even be there by now! I think she wants to do DTD and some swimming at Pop before an early bedtime. Sounds great to me!

Summer Magic is a fun movie, but then I love all the Hayley Mills movies by Disney. With all the talk about Summer Magic, I might need to view the DVD tonight.

I also have on DVD Yours, Mine, and Ours, and Follow me Boys. This maybe the good old days of movies weekend.

Good new my Mama was able to go home from rehab today. The first thing she did was make an appointment to get her hair fixed. Starting Monday she will be going to outpatient rehab 3 days a week.
