So I finally have my cruise documents. Which is a pleasant surprise given my last few experiences. But that's not to say that this one wasn't a minor adventure as well.

Mat called me to let me know that fedex had called him. In Florida. To tell him that they'd tried delivering said documents to my house...twice. And that if i didn't pick them up by the following wednesday, they would be destroyed. Not returned. Destroyed. And they didn't provide him with a tracking number, but advised that there would be one when i got home on those little door things.

I called fedex from work, rather than waiting till i got home to get the tracking number so that i could make arrangements for them to deliver to work the following day. Waited on hold for 15 mins only to be told the woman couldn't find anything in the system and that i needed my tracking number. upon hearing that there was a message left on my bf's phone...in florida, with no tracking number, she assured me there would be a notice when i got home. She didn't think it was odd that they'd called Mat...in Florida about a package being delivered to my place.

I got home. No door tag. Finally managed to get fedex to find me in their system and make arrangements for the documents to be delivered to my work. No one could explain why Mat was called instead of me!

But i have them..and life is good.

Gotta love Fedex.
I'm glad you've got everything now, woohoo! Now we just count down the days. I keep doing the "in two weeks, we'll be......." - last night it was finishing up dinner at our first restaurant. Now it is piling off the boat for CC. Soon it will be floating in Serenity Bay!

I too was stressing over the 80's attire... I found a T shirt that will do double duty, once for the cruise and I can wear it again in Nov... Dh is trying to come up with something but so far nada, so he will be in normal clothes also, dont sweat it, it's all good!

We ALMOST bought Lionel a "Venkman" Ghostbusters shirt at Target last night, but since I saw nothing there for me I just left it. Still no Pirate shirt at any of our Target stores. Oh well. We'll just have to be festive enough with our spectacular personalities

I just had to drop by and say I just got off my four day wonder cruise and your previous trip reports were a great deal of help for my first cruise! I never did make it over to the cove cafe for a moccachino. I did muster not worrying about a giant mutant shark coming to gobble me up while I was snorkeling. Unfortunately Tiffany did to good a job on my FE and someone stole it the last night of our cruise. Also, thanks to you I knew to get ginger chews and knew where to find the best alcohol! If hadn't read your trip reports I would have never known about the passporter that I read, reread, and tabbed at nauseam. Thanks for your wonderful trip reports! I'm glad you have no storms to worry about and wish you lots of pixie dust and smooth sailing!

I can't believe your FE got stolen! Don't they know what I say? RESPECT THE FISH EXTENDER. Still, sounds like you had a blast! I'm glad I was able to be of service. And hey - now you have a goal for your next cruise, have a mochaccino!!!!

Thank you, Wikipedia. It's a lovely, skinny chocolate dipped cookie thing. Very addictive. Great with tea. Or anything, really. I think they sell them at the Japanese store in Epcot?

Erica... I did 3 ports in Mexico and all I got was a cold... (actually it was the Cabo Crud we started coming down with after 11 days on board...)

Relax... drink everything out of cans or with alcohol in it and you'll be fine!!!

Oh and pack nyquil... they didn't have that on board... Dayquil yes, but it came to rationing out what we all had to get to LA...

Well, I do have sudifed and claritin, so I think I should be ok. If not, a healthy dose of the drink of the day should help me sleep through the night

I'm so glad she got them, and that they didn't have to be DESTROYED. Crazy Fedex.......

In other news, I did end up going to the giant Asian market, which is apparently called the Super Oriental Market now, and we spent $30. That was with Lionel saying "we have to leave before we pick up anything else" - we had only made it through half of the store! We got wasabi peas, mango and lychee gummies, puer teabags (which I am a tad skeptical of, but am willing to try for $1), jasmine tea, two kinds of pocky and a bottle of unfiltered sake.

Yes, that would be ginger chews. The had NONE. Can you believe it? So, we made a stop at Wholefoods on the way back and I found us two packs.

We can all rest easy now.

Yes, a word to the wise......they are a bit zesty that might be an understatement.

HOWEVER, they do work. I promise. If you can get them down

Looking for a Pirate tshirt?? I saw some in Target!! They were in the Jr. Dept...Black with gold skull and crossbones! I was SO SO tempted to buy for my Dec cruise...but, I didn't...not to say I won't?! Keep checking Target...

I just found the tshirt online at Target. It's under screen tees in the Jr section...don't know if that's what you're looking for..but, I think it's piratey...

I actually tried this yesterday after a night with the gals.. They all looked at me crazy but when i was feeling better and they werent they quickly poped one in. When they asked where I learned about this cure,. I said my DIS friend... they I think they have been talking to E lol

• print up FE cabin list and cruise plans spreadsheet - still procrastinating
• get an appropriate sized Rubbermaid container for FE and SM stuff - check!
• finish 6/8 of my remaining writing projects - have finished 5! not bad!
• call DCL to add our saved money to our OBC, and fill out our payment authorization forms online - waiting until payday Friday, because I am paranoid

Ten more days until we leave. I will be working nine of them. Life is so cruel sometimes!
