GCH Concierge here we come!

Finally, some availability for AP4 rates Dec 12-14. Concierge level $279/nite. And I'll keep calling back for the 15th until somebody takes pity on me.

I'm so excited. We said we wanted to do this first class this year, but I couldn't bring myself to pay the rack rate...even with 4th nite free concierge was just too much for me to swallow. So I had my ressies to do 4th nite free and the backu of HOJO w/ an Ent rate. All are cancelled, except I left the
15th at the GCH(standard) as a backup.

Lesson learned - perseverence does pay off! Keep calling if your nites are booked.

We'll be at DL the same days. But we're at the PPH concierge. I've been trying to get the GC AP also, but no luck. So I'll keep trying too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We will be at PP from the 11-16 also, concierge. I tried for DLH but it wasn't available. Now you have me tempted to try again, but we are going from 69/night at HOJO with a park view to 189/night for concierge at PP, I don't think I can talk myself into another 100 or so a night for DLH concierge this trip.

Oh yeah!! My mom actually decided she wanted to go one more time this year so I'll be there in December with her, we actually check in on the 12th and out on the 15th. I got the $189 rate so my mom's excited since she's been wanting to stay there since we were there in April!

Try again!!! Good luck though, and that's the same rate as me but you get concierge!

Yes, we got the AP4 rate as soon as it came out, then held onto it in case my mom decided she wants to go (which she did, thank goodness!!) I would have hated to give that up and cancel. Are you there the exact same dates as me? If so, I booked two rooms until my Uncle finds out if he can get those dates off. If he can't, then we won't need the second room so I'd be happy to lend it to you!!

I won't know for a month or two though, but it might be an option!!

WOW! What a great rate! I have decided NOT to do the math - we're not AP holders, and this is our first DL trip (did WDW last year). I know we are just plain overspending but we really want this trip. Yup, I guess the DL $$$ guys like people like us who don't have the inside scoop. Kudo's to you for getting that scoop and the great rate. Last year, our trip was a wonderful gift from my mother and my DH didn't really have a lot of the $$$ info, but this year I'm getting a lot more questions...like "is it REALLY worth it for concierge? How much more is concierge? How much per day are the park tickets?" You know, I loved that WDW dining plan because he couldn't complain about the prices - and he was all about ordering the steak/lobster/foie gras!

We'll be at the GC concierge from Dec 9-16, with our 9 year old twin boys. One of our sons is physically disabled, so you may be able to figure out who we are. Say hello and tell us how your trip is going...and give us any other inside scoops these Canadians need (we're from Toronto)!
