My dd is 9 and autistic. She has severe language processing disorder plus social anxiety disorder. While she loves WDW and riding all the rides, standing in the lines with all the people can be a bit of a challenge. She has been really good over the years but last year I noticed the tantrums were increasing the longer the lines. Getting her to understand the waiting is not easy. We are going for spring break again this year. I have decided to get a GAC just in case we need it.

What rides did you find the GAC helpful and why?

I'm going to suggest you read the information about Guest Assistance Cards in post #6 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread. You can get to the thread by following the link in my signature.

Because the stamp on each GAC is based on each person's needs, not all GACs provide the same accommodations.
And, because each attraction has different things available, an accommodation available at one attraction might not be available at another. The same GAC may even be handled differently at the same attraction at different times in the same day, so you can't even necessarily expect the same thing to happen when you come back to the same attraction the same day.
For these reasons, I'm goin g to close this thread.

You may find some of the information abou autism in post #3 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread would be helpful. People who have children with autism have also posted that planning services like Ridemax and TourGuide Mike have been very helpful in avoiding waits. A number have said that was mire useful than a GAC because the touring plans helped avoid busy places in general and shortened their waits to 10 minutes or less by just knowing where to be and when.
