Future MNSSHPs

There seem to be a lot of dates for MNSSHP this year. We're already planning for next year-- yeah, I'm obsessive when it comes to these things-- and I'm wondering do they always have so many dates for the event? Also, do they usually have on Thursday nights like they're having it this year?

Hi Julie. Yes, they usually have as many MNSSHP parties each year and usually on Thursdays too.

Did they have as many last year? I don't seem to remember them starting as early as Oct 3, wasn't it more like the middle of the month? They have added more MVMCP the last couple of years, they must make alot of money on them charging a separate admission.

DebbieB is right; last year (2002) MNSSHP didn't start until around the 17th or so. We're going Oct 1-8 and were surprised when we saw that the dates started 10/3. Don't know if the 'whole month plan' will continue next year; could be part of FTP....

We thought about going last year, but there was no availability at SOG for any of the dates. We're planning for next year, and want to get an idea of when to book. I didn't remember seeing so many, especially not so early in the month, but I was thinking there just might have been less because crowds had been lighter?

Well, anyway, thanks. We'll look towards the middle of the month, and make sure we're there on a Thursday. Are they usually smaller crowds than on the weekends? Oh, and of course avoid Columbus Day weekend.
