Pirates Of The Carribean attraction....

I heard someone say this back in 1989 and everytime I go on the ride I think about it.

You come up to the pirate ship and the captain is giving out his orders. One of the things he says is..."Fire at will"

And of course some guy in the back of the boat shouts...."Which ones Will?"

Guess you had to be there. I always say "which one is Will?" under my breath everytime we go by the ship now.

POTC is my DH's favorite ride, and he ALWAYS says who's Will??

I just got back from WDW and heard a few funny things.

The first involved a little British girl (probably about 5 years old or so) and is more "cute" than "funny", but made me laugh. DH and I were in Mouse Gear at Epcot where there is a display of small basketballs or something in the floor under glass. The little girl was standing on it and was being called over by her mother and she said, "But mummy, I'm standing on some balls!"

The second involved some confusion about the Buzz Lightyear ride. I *think* it stopped to let someone transfer from a wheelchair to the ride which made people think it was broken. So word that the ride is broken is sweeping through the queue, but most people quickly realize it is working, that it had just stopped temporarily, and order is restored. Then this woman starts yelling from out of nowhere, "What do you mean this ride is broken again!!" (It had been closed the day before.) "Doesn't this [bleep bleep] ride ever work!?" "To [bleep] with this!" and unhooks a chain, makes her kids get out of line and throws the chain on the ground (without hooking it back up). People are yelling after her that the ride IS working, but all we hear back is [bleep bleep bleep]. As soon as she was gone, the rest of us in line sort of looked at each other, shrugged, and started laughing.

ooo
i guess that was one of my sisters who said that because they were six the 1st time we went
the thing in mouse gear i mean
EDIT!!! it couldn't of been mine actually because it you said it was from your last visit
our 1st visit was 2000
oh well
still sounds like something my sisters would say

Love this board... keep it up guys! I will have some good ones when I get back from WDW!

Several years ago we were playing putt-putt at Fantasia Gardens on the Fairways course (the one that is more like golf). My wife is getting ready to smack her ball when we hear someone yell INCOMING. About which time we see this colored ball go flying through the air towards our hole. Turns out the group behind us got a little too excited when hitting their ball and it kind of got away from him.

That is one thing I didn't ever think I would hear at Disney.

The funniest thing I ever heard at MK definately came out of my OWN Mouth, unintentionally of course!!

A few weeks ago, we were finishing up a LONG day at MK with my DH, 2 kids, stepson and his wife, and their 5 month old baby.

Everyone else went on Splash Mountain at about 7 p.m. except me - I was left with my ds (2) and my step-grandson, 5 months. My son was being SO good, but the baby was really upset. My son probably sat there for 20 minutes playing with a small bag of trail mix. He was picking out the parts he likes, and putting the rest of the stuff (basically the nuts) in the little cup holders in the tray of his stroller. Then he'd move them from one place to the other, and back again. In the meantime, the baby REALLY started getting upset, and I'm trying to bounce him on my knee, and at the same time, my son decides he's had enough of this and he's getting out of the stroller NOW. So I'm saying "Please, Elliot, get back in the stroller. Come on Elliot, come on over here and sit, please. Come on, you can sit over here and play with your nuts"!!! Well, there was a young guy sitting next to me (with his infant child) who started to snicker (like you snicker in church when you know you shouldn't be snickering). I ALMOST DIED when I realized what I had said, QUITE LOUDLY, in front of too many people!!! I had to keep sitting there and wait another 15 minutes or so until they all came off the ride.... It was awful!

I am laughing SO hard at this right now.....thank you for sharing!!! :)

My stories are probably more cute than funny too.

In 2001, my dad and I were talking past the candy store on Sunset at MGM. A little girl (3-4?) in a Cindy costume was standing, fists clenched, outside the store screaming at her father... "CANDY! CANDY! I WANT CAAAAAAANDY!" Feet stomping, arm waving, full on candy tantrum. The dad, amazingly calm, simply says, "Lizzie. You're not being a princess. Do we have to go change into our regular clothes?" Tantrum ceases immediately, Lizzie smoothes out her Cindy dress, and looks serenely at her daddy saying, "No daddy, I'm a princess. I'd like to keep on my Cinderella dress. Please don't make me change into plain clothes."

On the same trip, I was walking with my mom @ MK near the entrance to ToonTown. We passed a frazzled looking dad bending down beside a stroller holding a wailing 2 yr old. Dad pleads, "Jeremy, please stop crying... Mommy will be right back." Jeremy responds with more screaming, crying, and "I want MOMMY!" Dad, at his wits end, looking around desperatly for something to capture Jeremy's attention sees Pooh emerge from the CM gate and walk toward ToonTown. Dad exclaims, "Oh look Jeremy... It's Pooh!" He says Pooh with a quiet sort of baby voice. Jeremy responds with, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! ... pooh"

I was sitting with my DGD in her stroller while the rest of the family walked through Swiss FAmily Treehouse a few years ago...DGD was about 18 months old then and has a whole head of bright red curly hair like her Mom has.

A litte girl maybe 4 or 5 years old in a Cinderella outfit came and sat down with her mother in the same rest area we were in. She came over and politely asked if she could talk to the baby and i said sure...My DGD was just laughing and clappng as this little girl did her song and dance routine in that dress for her, she loved it. I did not pay much attention I was reading something at the time...

Anyway this little girl when she is done singing says to me, is her hair that color or do you dye it??.....I laughed so hard I almost cried, the idea of us dying this baby's hair red was too much... :sunny:

Her mother was so embarrassed but I thought it was very funny..... :sunny: :sunny:

Mine wasnt at the parks but it is Disney related... I went to go see Pooh's Heffalump movie the other day. It was around noon time so there were a few kids there not many... however this little girl sitting behind me said the funniest and maybe the cutest thing ive heard in a while. When Pooh falls off his bed and his head goes into the hunny pot

"Mommy mommy look poohs head is covered in mustard... (took a few seconds to think) why is pooh eating mustard?"

We were at Epcot last week when I heard a man tell his wife "Hey, let's go to Interventions". At which point I looked at my DH and said "I guess that's where the dysfunctional families go when they visit Epcot".

For me, the funniest comments that I ever hear are usually crabby parents yelling at their kids. I think the reason I find them so funny is 1. They seem to forget that we are in the "Happiest Place on Earth" and 2. I will someday be that crabby parent with crabby kids! For now...I will just chuckle to myself whenever I hear crabby parents! :earboy2:
