Last week we were in MK for the MVMCP parade. We got our spot in Liberty square early, so with my DW waiting with our DS15 months, I took our DD4 on BTMR. She was a little nervous with it being her first time and also at night. At the end of the rid, she proclaims that she loves it and can't stop talking about it on the walk back to our spot.

When we get to our spot she sits down next to these 2 young girls (early 20's) and looks over at them and says, "I just rode the Polar Express!"

That is just about the cutest thing I've ever heard! :goodvibes

On the other hand, little ones would have known these were not Care Bears :earsgirl: :earboy2:

At the end of a VERY long day in Epcot at the World Showcase we saw this little boy walking with his mom and we heard him say " Where are we anyways... Japanese town?" (in Japan).. We just cracked up!

My nephew is 3 and this was his first trip to WDW since he was 6 months. The first night we were, we took him over to see Illuminations. OK that was a big mistake, he had a complete meltdown.

2 days later we were in EPCOT visiting the countries and it was around 8:45 PM. He was bored riding in the carriage and wanted to walk for a while. He heard the announcement "blah blah blah...Illuminations show at 9:15" and jumped into the carriage like his pants were on fire and starts yelling at us... "HURRY UP! WE GOTTA GO! WE GOTTA LEAVE! COME ON! FASTER!"

It was a riot.

I don't know how well this will translate into words but years ago DH and I were at the World celebrating our 2nd anniversary and there was this adorable British family on our bus. The kids, boy and girl, were probably about 8 and 9ish. They started arguing about where they thought they were going (one was saying universal studios) and the little girls gets very upset and in the sweetest accent says "Mummy, he spat on me" I laughed so hard, I cried. It sounded so polite. Eventhough this was pre-kids for us, I couldn't help thinking that is a huge diffence in the way american and british children resolve their issues.

At Rainforest Cafe, the lady next table said to the waiter: "Can I have a diet seven-eleven, please?" :confused3
I guess she meant a diet seven-up ?!?

In MGM,
A Mom, walking in front of me, speaking to her younger son (about 5 or 6):

Mom: "OOh honey!! look! Power Rangers! Maybe Spiderman will be here to!!" :bitelip:

Little boy(stopping dead in his tracks): :rolleyes2 "Mom, Spiderman is NOT Disney! Geez!" And rolls his eyes!!! :rotfl:

I almost died laughing!!!

I love this thread and when we were in WDW last October I was bound and determined to bring you something worth sharing.

Well, the only thing that came from all of my 'eaves dropping' was my dd asking me to stop eaves dropping while we were on the bus. I got my share of smirks after that comment and then kept my ears to myself after the remainder of the trip. :earboy2: :listen:

That sounded funny ! :jumping1: But there was this 1 time i was on a ride with my cousin , were sitting in the front row with some teenage boys and just b4 we went down they screamed like little girls ! we didnt even go down yet !

I'm of Chinese descent but can't speak/read a word of Chinese and somebody gave me a T-shirt with Chinese writing... when my dad saw it he said, "Do you know that your T-shirt says 'do not pee here'?"

I threw away the T-shirt... especially after wearing that shirt for the entire day in Chinatown.

HA HA HA :rotfl: So funny - one of the funniest things i've read in a LONG TIME!

My "funniest" experience was on our 1st ever trip to WDW in 2000. There was 16 in our party, grandparent, aunts&uncles etc.... We had gone to MK in July for the E ride night, so of course, it was well into the night. We were all sitting in front of the castle waiting for the Mainstreet Electric Parade. There we were, at least 8 rows deep in people. Out of nowhere a GIANT roach flew out of the little oak tree, and landed on this poor fella! :earseek: I have never seen anyone try to get out of their clothes, as fast as he did! :scared: Then..... It flew off, of couse sending everyone into a panic. People were screaming, and then it happened, the roach landed.... I stood, screamed and pointed "There it is!!!! Its on her back!" Well, nobody knew who "her" was, thus forcing the crowd into a bigger panic. Everyone was jumping up and running. I felt so sorry for that lady, I thought she was going to have heart failure when she saw it on her shirt! :scared1: :faint: I didn't really know who to feel sorry for, her or the ROACH! :rotfl2: I guess that memory will be with me forever! Hey, for you all that have great parade seats, and someone tries to ruin it by cutting in front of you, try the Roach scream! You'll be surprised how fast you can clear an area!!! :rolleyes1

Lynn

LOL!!! i never knew people were so afraid of roaches. And i catch those by the handfull! its quite a nice business some people pay a buck each for adults, and about 0.75 cents for nimps. 1 time we sent them to Fear Factor and we never did see them on TV... I never knew catching bugs was so dangerous!

:rotfl: We were at Magic Kingdom this past December. We were sitting with our family on the curb of Main Street waiting for the afternoon parade to begin. There was this man near us who had just bought his son one of those
light up/glow swords that go from about eight inches to three feet (they are collapsible). The kid was so excited to get it. He was probably three or so and sitting in his stroller.

Now we are smooshed on top of one another waiting for the parade, this kids got his new sword, and his dad says, "If I see you touch anybody with this I am going to take it away!" With that, he extends it to it's full length and hands it to his son.

My sister-in-law and I saw the entire thing, and we bust out laughing. How can you possibly give a kid this huge sword in a large crowd and expect him to just sit there and not swing it around?

It was probably one of those 'you had to be there' things, but we laughed about it all week!

This is probably the same guy who would give his kid a ton of sugar and then tell him to "sit still". :rotfl2:

My best one was something we did during a MVMCP back in Dec. We were in Fantasyland at midnight and were trying to get one more ride in. DD (4) suggested small world and we all hopped on. Once the boat started moving I started singing the song. Well they all joined in and we sang it through the whole ride.

The other was when my DS was 4 and we were at the MVMCP in Dec. 2000. We were near dumbo near the end of the night and there was no line. As we went through the chains to get up to the loading area my DS kept saying over and over, "I want to ride on Dumbo, Dumbo, DUMBO!" It was so cute.
