Frozen Holiday Premium Package at HS

You get reserved seating at the singalong. You won't need a fastpass.

But possibly they think it is worthwhile to have reserved seating for the singalong without having to use FP, or a private place outside of the crowd to view and a dessert party during the Osborne lights. I don't place much value on those, but someone else might, and it's not up to me to consider them "ripped off" or "taken advantage of."
^^this^^
It is about what your priorities are. I have only designated 1 day for HS so this allows me to see some of the frozen stuff without the wait. Plus I now get another fast pass. I do not plan to drink and I suspect most of my party will not either. I have time shares but this time around I'm staying onsite. It's about my kids. See, I would not have paid for the villain Soirée.

I did the Star Wars Premium Package earlier this summer - and enjoyed it.

I did the Harambe Nights earlier this summer - and enjoyed it.

I did the Frozen Premium Package last week - and enjoyed it.

I did the Villains Sinister Soiree last week - and enjoyed it.

But…this?

I REALLY don't see the value AT ALL.

I have been going to see the Osborne Lights for the last few years, and part of the fun is strolling down the street (it's really not that crowded later), and getting different camera shots of the different lights…not to mention, I'm always hunting for the elusive Purple Cat!!!

Sorry, Disney. This is one package you WON'T be getting my money for.

Please help! I understand you get 1 Frozen Sing Along show b/t 10:25am-6pm, Osborne Family Lights viewing, "Actual Seats" at the Dessert Party, Lithograph & pin. Enter and leave as you wish starting @ 6pm until 8pm. Okay. Got it! Questions: How does this work with Fantasmic!? Right now F! is @ 6:30pm & 8pm. We have F! Dinner Package, so that would be the 6:30pm show. Will the F! times change? Next, I read there was a "lighting ceremony" for the Osborne lights. I can't find it now. I think it said nightly around 5:30pm. So how would that work for special viewing? :confused3 Thanks in advance!

Fantasmic: times won't change because Fant is scheduled according to the park's closing and the 2 shows are always scheduled 1.5 hours apart. You can go to the Dessert Party after Fant ends, or, you can choose the 2nd Fant and cancel your Fant Dining Package.

Osborne Lighting Ceremony: begins close to 6:00 in December. You wouldn't receive special viewing of this because the Dessert Party begins after the Lights are turned on for the evening. You can watch the Lighting from any area in Streets of America. If anything, you'll be standing in the check-in line for the Package area when the lights are switched on.

I assume you can come and go from the reserved area at your leisure, so you'd head to the reserved area after Fantasmic. The premium package will be something a relatively small number of people will get, and I would be shocked if they'd change the Fantasmic schedule for it. Unless you're going to take a full 90 minutes to eat your desserts, there's really no reason to be there the whole time.

The dessert party is not scheduled until after the lights are lit, so it doesn't offer an advantage for the lighting ceremony.

There should be a Package line for the Credentialed guests. The statement is confusing in the description. It should just read: "You Do Not Need A FP if you Buy The Package!"

Ok, so same as it has been for the summer package.

I had never bothered to check the time for the lighting. If the desert party doesn't include seating for the lighting than it has even less value to me. The lighting is the only thing I would want to be in the special area for. After it's all lit I'd want to be out and about walking through it all.

Did I miss something? I don't see a chance to meet the characters here.

There isn't a character meet included.

as for staying in one spot during Osborne Lights, you probably don't have to do that. They'd give you credentials or a wristband, so you could likely enter and leave the area as you please, take your drinks and cupcakes and walk around and then come back. We would have to see with the reviews. One thing that needs to be considered is weather; where will they move the dessert party if it rains or gets very cold?

Yeah. I had twisted around in my head a comment on the parks blog that it was for the lighting - I now realize disney never said that.

But guess what! When they announce that Olaf will be giving deep tissue massages to all attendees while Anna and Elsa personally paint your portrait - I'm totally going to have a ticket! ;)

Just so everyone knows seats are not typically included in these packages. For the desert party it will probably be just tables like it was during the summer event.

I imagine the lights will be a roped off area that only those with passes will be allowed in. Not sure if it would go through the whole thing because that would be a logistical nightmare.

The fine print on the description says this:

•Seating will be available at the dessert party and in the Premiere Theater.

It also says this:

•Guests may enter and exit the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights Viewing with Frozen-Themed Dessert Party as many times as they wish during their designated viewing and dessert party time. A valid credential must be presented each time you wish to re-enter the reserved area.

So you can go in and out if you bring along your credential.

I was excited to see this pkg pop up on my screen while doing an ADR search... Until I saw the price. Are they kidding me? On top of a park ticket for a family of four it's terribly priced.

I actually booked this and am kind of excited for it. I booked it on Christmas Eve for DH and myself. I think it's a better value than the villain Soiree seemed...I would rather the lithograph than the mug and at least it includes alcoholic beverages which can easily make up the value. I know the reserved seating isn't necessary but I think I still want to do the dessert party.

that's actually something nice to do on Xmas Eve. We are fans of the fireworks dessert party in MK. I'm just finding this so not affordable for a family and I'm a little shocked. Perhaps we can find another Frozen themed package available. Enjoy!

I can appreciate that it's a brilliant marketing move to call something a "Frozen" premium event, when really it's not. The Osborne lights have nothing whatsoever to do with Frozen. There are FP+s available for the singlongs, and we've seen not one report of people not being able to get into a singalong throughout the summer. If they would have marketed this for what it really is (an Osborne lights dessert party) there's no way they would be able to charge that amount. As a guest, I'm angry that they're praying on the naivete of most of their guests, who can convince themselves there's something of value here or who think this is a valuable package because it has the words "premium" and "Frozen" associated with it.

With no meet and greet, this is true. It really has nothing to do with Frozen. I booked it, but plan to drop. I hope that if people begin to complain or if I'm dealing with high level crowds, it may be worth it. Otherwise... this is not worth the $300+ bucks I spent to reserve it.

Frozen themed food is available in the park for everyone to purchase. The cupcakes (Olaf carrot cake, Anna chocolate cupcake, and Elsa Vanilla cupcake) are available at the Snowground.

Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available at the Snowground as well. And a drink is still available in the Olaf cup.

There is also a little concession stand across from the Premiere Theater that still sells Arendelle punch, a non-alcoholic beverage for around $4. The sign has changed from the one I post here. I think food selections changed as well. And I didn't keep my receipt from the punch, but I think it was $4.25.

Rice Krispy Frozen themed treats are available at the stores that sell Frozen themed merchandise.

So even Frozen Themed desserts and beverages are available to non-package guests, though I'm sure more variety will be available for package guests.

I'm doing HS on an EMH night, so it's worth it to me. It's a Sunday and promises to be crowded in the park.

According to the CM I booked with (who put me on hold to check), it's one pin and lithograph per group, not per person.

We still booked for Christmas week, thinking the chance to sit down and get reserved seats might be worth it, but kind of bummed that for $90, we don't each get a pin, especially since we don't drink.

Haven't they finished paying for those MM+ cost overruns yet? :faint:

And I just don't get the Osborne Lights viewing area. Osborne is a huge area. How can one viewing area even do it justice?
