Frozen Holiday Premium Package at HS

With the way Disney likes changes what if the osborne lightts were limited to this event during these times?
I say not even remotely possible. It's not possible for it to be viewed by only those attending the event. They didn't do that for summer festivities they aren't doing it for this either.

I have kids, gladly paid for the Frozen Premium package this summer, and even I think this is absolutely ridiculous. Charging people for things that they get for "free" with their park admission is insane. There is no way an average child can eat $59 worth of those desserts, which are really nothing to write home about anyway.
Same for me. We gladly did the Summer Frozen event, I jumped to sign up for it. This, not so much. I did love the drinks but thought the deserts pretty icky (and I'm a sweets lover). We can't drink enough to make this pay for itself.

Can anybody tell if you get a refund if you buy a ticket to this and subsequently cancel? I'm on the fence about it and I don't want to lock in $300 on an event I ultimately decide that I don't want to do.

When I booked, they said there was a 1 day cancellation policy, so as long as you cancel a day ahead, you're ok.

It actually sounds really fun to me, but maybe I'm just easy to please. Every one of these things we've done with Disney, we've enjoyed. I like the idea of sitting and enjoying the lights with DD out of the way of the crowds, sipping my drink and eating a cupcake. Sounds fun! Worth $150? Eh, well, that's all relative. That's a dinner out for us, so not a huge thing and will probably be one of our cheaper evenings if it keeps us out of the stores. Just seems like a nice way to spend Christmas Eve. I probably wouldn't do it any other time of the year, but wanted something special for that night. But that's for every person to decide for themselves, obviously.

If I was going when the crowd levels are 10+ I would be joining you. I felt trying to see the Osborne Lights during crowd levels of 4 was difficult. I can't imagine what a night with a crowd level of 10 looks like. I'd pay the money just to have elbow room. And I'd need some of those drinks to tolerate the crowds ;)

I jumped at the Villains Soirée and probably would have done the summer frozen package, but this doesn't do it for me. Don't see enough value in it. So subjective...

Best of all if you're staying on property you don't need a designated driver except the kids in the stroller may beg to differ.

I wish I knew if there was going to be the rumored soirée event during the Christmas party. I don't want to do both... But since there's a 1 day cancelation... I guess it can't hurt to book this.

What would the soiree event entail? Or what did it include in the past?

We booked it. I think it sounds fun. We will probably cancel if something comes out at MK. We just cancelled our dinner and will eat earlier and do this! We are going when the park is a crowd level of 8 and extra magic hours at night so I am thinking HS will be packed.

I haven't had time to read the whole thing but does this automatically get you into the frozen sing along or do you still need a fast pass? I had previously gotten a fast pass but this will allow me to get something else

Rumor is a hard ticket inside the Christmas party just like the one going on now for MNSSHP. It would be deserts in Cinderella Castle with Anna Elsa and whoever as well as reserved fireworks and parade viewing. There was also rumor of an Olaf meet and greet in the lobby before. Who knows if any of this is true.

I went ahead and booked this one. I love that you have a reserved area to see the lights come on and that you can attend the singalong showing of your choice the day of your event.

Good to know, I also booked the HS party. My 4 year old and 2 year old are OBSESSED with Frozen so if this one trip is overloaded with them then fine! I'll keep my ears open on MK too only negative is we already booked MVMCP so the extra tickets and events are getting pricey!

I don't think you see the lights come on... From the "Know Before You Go" section (which is always curiously hidden...)
Beginning at 6:00 PM, Guests can check in at the Frozen Dessert Party location at the end of Streets of America, near the Lights! Motors! Action! Extreme Stunt Show.

From December 25 to January 4, 2014, the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights Viewing with Frozen-Themed Dessert Party takes place from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

I did the Summer Premium Package and I just saw this and decided eh why not? I will eat light that day and not being knocked around for OSL while being able to sip an adult beverage sounds mighty good to me.

We have a party of 5 people and $450 for this is way out of my league. I'll buy a beer (or three) and my daughter will get a candied apple and will be just fine.

I thought the summer package seemed like a better deal too. You got the snacks at the parade as well as the dessert party at night with the alcohol.

And the price for that was $69 for an adult and $39 for a child. Why is this $89/$59?

ETA: Oh it has a lithograph and a pin.

The timing for the Frozen Summer package worked the same way. The desert party portion started before the fireworks but you still had the same spot to watch the fireworks. Sounds like for this they are having the deserts and beverages before the lighting begins. Once they light them you can filter out and not miss the desert and drink portion.
