Frozen Holiday Premium Package at HS

According to the CM I booked with (who put me on hold to check), it's one pin and lithograph per group, not per person. We still booked for Christmas week, thinking the chance to sit down and get reserved seats might be worth it, but kind of bummed that for $90, we don't each get a pin, especially since we don't drink.

They said the same thing about the wine and dine package and they were wrong.

It wouldn't make sense to be one per a group because it is apart of the cost and the cost doesn't go down for everyone after the first person.

Yet another overpriced package! They are capitalizing on everything!! And people will buy it, which is fine... but we won't. Disney gets enough of my money each year. This package costs more than the MVMCP and MNSSHP parties! Just insane. I am so over the whole Frozen frenzy and we haven't even arrived yet! I just don't see the value in this at all.. Desserts/alcohol or not- that just doesn't entice me to buy into these things. $90 pp is just outrageous to do things that cost nothing for us to see to begin with.

I can appreciate that it's a brilliant marketing move to call something a "Frozen" premium event, when really it's not. The Osborne lights have nothing whatsoever to do with Frozen. There are FP+s available for the singlongs, and we've seen not one report of people not being able to get into a singalong throughout the summer. If they would have marketed this for what it really is (an Osborne lights dessert party) there's no way they would be able to charge that amount. As a guest, I'm angry that they're praying on the naivete of most of their guests, who can convince themselves there's something of value here or who think this is a valuable package because it has the words "premium" and "Frozen" associated with it.

My thoughts exactly!!! :thumbsup2::yes::

Besides, what constitutes "a group"
1 MDE account?
Many people group other parties with their account so they can all book FP together. But they are totally separate families.

Definitely not interested in this at all. Isn't the Osborne Lights best enjoyed walking through the sights - not sitting in one spot? and no "Frozen" meet and greet? and reserved seating to the sing a long which is available to anyone with a fastpass? a pin and lithograph? No....not doing it. If they are serving alcohol I can see why it would be $90.00 per adult though. Now, if they do an MK party at the castle...that i'd do.

The summer parties had alcohol as well as fireworks and they were only 60 for adults.

I'm sure this has been mentioned in the multitude of Frozen threads on the board, but here it is again.

I don't get it.

Frozen was a good movie. Cute, fun music. Shoot, my daughters did one of the songs at a talent show. But all of what Disney is doing and the seeming obsession with the characters and movie seems....odd.

They pulled the pricing lever a bit too hard on this one. I get the trend is to offer high ticket items that attract affluent customers. A price lever strategy. While offering discounts like free dining to draw in value conscious customers.

But 90$ for only deserts that are exclusive (when have you ever needed a private viewing of Osborne lights? ) is really unreasonable.

I booked this... I am doing that once in a lifetime over the top trip for my DD and my mother. Does it seem over priced? Yep totally, but since I have already dropped in the area of 4k for this week long vacation whats another $200 and some change? We will be there Thanksgiving week and the day were at HS has a crowd level of 8. So getting a place away from the crowd might be worth it. Plus it gives me back a FP.

I plan on seeing how the reviews are once it all goes down and if sucks cancelling. I kept my sing-along FP just in case. If all the reviews are horribly negative I will cancel.

I would do this if they had advance sign-up for the sing-a-long, but I don't want to have to get there at park opening and then be there late at night too. I'd rather go to another park, then take a break in the afternoon, then go back at night. For $89 each they can't take down your sing-a-long time choice when you buy it?!

With FP+ available for the sing along these prices seem steep...just purchased our park and MVMCP tickets for the seven of us. Got a good deal through DVC on a four day, four park pass for $199 each. I'm not one who would do the dessert parties either though. Looking forward to reviews...

I'm in the same boat as you. Everyone is saying "Why would you do this? Why?". And I'm sitting here wondering WHY NOT?! It sounds fun and Disney always throws in an unexpected touch of magic. I'm sure the desserts will be adorable, and who knows, the viewing for Osborne Lights maybe something extra special.

And if you are complaining about only getting 1 pin, then book a single reservation for each person in your party with a different email address. It's not that hard folks. That way, each person is considered a separate party.

We all spend thousands and thousands to go to Disney each year, what's a couple hundred dollars more now?

Disney is smart...they are capitalizing on Frozen while they still can.

I don't believe anyone who is saying "why would you do this?" doesn't understand that this is a bit of extra Disney magic. Most of us are saying "why would you do this?" because Disney is charging more for an event it's offered several times this summer and hasn't really add anything of value to warrant the price jump.

If anything, it's taken away.

Look at July. It was basically the child's price of the current package for adults. You got special parade viewing with unlimited snacks and drinks. You also got the same sing-along perk. And the evening dessert took place during part of the dance party and then there were fireworks.

As noted in the Disney writeup, you can leave the party area, walk around, then come back to it as long as you bring your credential for reentry.

I'm not going to do it, it does not work out for me at all, but I'm not going to question why someone else might want to do it. Have at it. The dessert party sounds like fun. If I was going during Christmas week and liked Frozen stuff I might have considered it as a way to beat the crowds.

But all of what Disney is doing and the seeming obsession with the characters and movie seems....odd.

Disney didn't expect any of this, but it happened. Grown people beating each other up to get to Elsa dolls and dresses. Elsa dresses selling for thousands on Ebay. Guests willingly waiting in 7 hour lines to see the characters in Epcot. They've figured out that lots and lots of guests want Frozen, and that it's good enough to just put the Frozen name on it and add some Frozen theming without necessarily providing the actual characters, so they'll provide it until the guests don't want it anymore. And beyond, since they are changing a ride at Epcot into a Frozen ride.

Yeah they had it this summer but guess what? I don't get to Disney whenever I feel like it and as someone said when you're already spending thousand of dollars what's a couple hundred more? I don't understand why people have to diss something they don't want to do. I don't have to justify how I choose to spend my hard earned money to anyone.
